Caden's 4th Birthday

On Saturday, January 21st, 2012, my little Caden turned 4 years old.  I have been so surprised how fast time flies when you have kids!  I remember before I was a mom- mothers that I knew would tell me that ALL the time, but I never understood it or believed it until now.  We had a little party with our family on his birthday and then this weekend we are going to Chuck E Cheese to have a second party with his cousins, grandparents, and a few of his aunts and uncles on Luke's side.  He has been begging us to take him to Chuck E Cheese for months now- so stay tuned for pics after we go.

"All Piled Up"

One day a few weeks ago, I heard my oldest son Carter call to me and he said "Mom- come and see- we are ALL PILED UP".  I didn't really understand what he was saying, so I ran downstairs to our play room, and THIS is what I saw:

 They were laughing and giggling and they thought it was so cute that they were all "Piled Up".  So now sometimes I say "Hey guys, lets get all piled up"- they don't hesitate at all.!

Carter's 6th Birthday

Carter turned 6 years old on January 2nd.  I cannot believe how time flies.  He wanted a CARS 2 birthday party, so we invited his cousins and some school friends and has his party at the YMCA.  They have a HUGE indoor play area- about 5 times the size of the ones at McDonalds (plus a lot cleaner too!)  Carter had a great time and so did everyone who attended.  Happy Birthday little man!

Sledding

On New Years Eve Day we decided to go sledding- down the hill that is right across the street from our house.  There is a good size hill there and since it has just snowed, we decided to take advantage of the new snow.  I stood watch of any cars (we don't get many) and Luke stood at the top of the hill helping the kids go down.  They had a blast!

Christmas 2011

Christmas 2011 was a great time.  We stayed home with the kids and had Christmas at our home.  The kids did awesome with taking turns opening their gifts and then sharing their toys with each other.  Luke and I were very relaxed :)  We then all took a 4 hr nap~!  We were tired.  Then for dinner on Christmas, we went to Luke's sister Texie's house for dinner.  She made a great dinner and we had turkey will all the trimmings.  We had a wonderful time.

Caden's big gift was his little scooter- he loved it!

I think Carter got every Cars II toy that Santa makes!  He LOVES Cars!
