Helper Lily

Lily is in the phase of "helping" out with everything we do right now. She wants to take part in it all, which sometimes ends up making more work but what the heck, she is just so cute! Today, she was helping Jody put groceries into the freezer - don't laugh at the way she is dressed - she helps herself with her clothes from the deacon's bench, regardless if anything matches or not. Don't you just love the hat pulled on like that??! Ha!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

We had a lovely day lounging around home today waiting for the inclement weather to hit us. Jody went out to do some errands and returned with a beautiful bouquet of Lily's for me - my favorite flower!! They are so stunning, and it is a huge bouquet!!Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!!

Presents!!

Today, we received a package from Kim in Arizona - inside, there was a beautiful homemade bracelet for Lily and myself! I was a little hesitant to put Lily's on her since she is so tough with everything but she though it was great. She kept looking at it on her wrist saying "cute, cute!" I would catch her now and again looking at her little wrist and admiring the bracelet - it was so sweet. I took it off of her when we had a nap and boy, she was not happy with that - little tears streamed down her cheeks and she said "bwacet, bwacet." She wore it the whole rest of the day - thanks so much to Kim for the sweet present - arriving just in time for Valentine's Day!

Snow Fun!

The snow has been holding off very well this winter - Jody and Lily took advantage of the small snowfall that we had a few weeks ago in order to try out Lily's new sled. She loves it outside so much, unlike her poor mother who HATES the cold weather!

Happy Birthday Lily!!

Lily celebrated her 2nd birthday on January 24th - can you believe it has been 2 years already?? We had a quiet celebration here at home with my Dad - Lily is a very lucky little girl and got lots of nice things!! Most of the presents were "Dora" themed since Lily is in love with her at the moment! She also thoroughly enjoyed the cake!!

Christmas Day!

I love having all the extra decorations around at Christmas time - everything seems so bare once you have to take them down. Here is Jody's mom watching Jody cooking - just the way it should be! Ha!

Christmas Eve

I thought it was about time I got some Christmas pictures posted since we are moving quickly into February! Basically, the season went way TOO fast and it seems like it was forever ago! Jody's parents spent the Holidays here and we were very glad to have them! Lily had a wonderful time and I am glad she got to spend a month with her Nanny and Poppy - she will be looking very forward to their return in the summer. The following pictures were taken on Christmas Eve. The tree was packed with presents waiting for everyone to awaken in the morning. The pics of Lily were taken on her way to bed - hmmm, wonder if she will go so willingly next year??

Going For A Walk

I realize I am very behind in my blogging but things have been so busy lately, I just haven't had a lot of chance. Plus the fact that when Lily sees the camera now she thinks she HAS to have it, that makes it hard to get pictures of her! We went to see Santa yesterday - Lily was excited in the line saying "Santa, Santa" but when it was time to actually sit on his knee, that was a different story altogether! She screamed, even with me sitting beside as well. We were able to bribe her with a pack of stickers and a candy cane to get a picture that she was not crying in. We can pick the pictures up tomorrow so I will try to get one on here after that. We went for a lovely walk this morning - the weather has been so gorgeous we wanted to take advantage of it! Here is a picture of the little darling all bundled up!  

Happy Halloween!

I was supposed to be working on Halloween but fortunately, I was able to get the day off and spend with Lily. She enjoyed wearing her alligator costume and being a real crowd pleaser wherever we went. I was able to get some nice candid photos outside in the afternoon since it was such a beautiful day. In the evening, we went to Donna's house in Liverpool. Lily liked being able to see other kids come to the door in different costumes. She was fully wired on chocolate when we got home but readily went right to sleep, thank God!
