- I am debating on whether to change my major from nursing to psychology because of a career I've been thinking about a lot. I'm hesitant on making a decision because nursing is more broad of a field than psychology. The career I want or have been thinking about is becoming a Child Life Specialist. Most people don't know what that is and never have heard of it before; neither had I until I searched for jobs dealing with hospitalized children. This job allows me to play with hospitalized children who have chronic diseases and could possibly (most likely) die. This job would also give me the responsibility of the procedures and the dangers of the procedures that are going to happen to them. One of the side effects for me being a Child Life Specialist is having PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and I would need a psychologist to help me cope with the children dying. On the flip side, I would be able to enjoy and get to know amazing spirited children and I would have a missionary opportunity in telling them that there is life after death.
- I have been thinking about going on a mission. I have been thinking about this for a long time as well. Today during sacrament I asked God if I should go on a mission and I flipped open my scriptures and read this verse: "And he said unto him, Yea." (Alma 11:33). The verses all around it do not pertain to my question to God. I don't know if this is a coincidence that I opened my scriptures to that particular verse, but it got me scared and anxious to prepare myself to potentially go on one. I don't know how I would be able to afford to go on one, but if it is God's plan for me to go on one, he will provide a way.
- The last thing I have been thinking about is where or not to take a summer program to become a CNA (certified nursing assistant) in Soledad, Ca and live with my sister for those 2 months. Becoming a CNA would increase my possibility to get into the nursing program here in Idaho. Also, the hours required is higher in California than Idaho; this means that that might increase my chances in getting a job here in Idaho as I go to school. But, I recently found out that I got an accepted appeal to stay here for the spring semester and be considered a full time student. The only problem is that my decision was already made before getting the approval of appeal; meaning I bought a plane flight ticket so that I could move back to California in the spring and summer.

College, college, college
These past weeks I have been doing homework all day, EVERY day! It's disgusting. So now I have come to the conclusion that I can not always follow my homework routine of being a day ahead of homework because this girl needs some college fun in her life!!! My days consist of school, homework, going to evening dances, doing more homework and going to bed late at night. haha. It's so much fun though! I love college, I really do! I have to take my first exams today...bleh! But I've taken one and think I did ok considering I didn't study a whole lot. haha. Ahhhhhh! I need to find my studying skills again and stick to them because I haven't even studied for my next exam for today. =/ They play my fav primary hymn in bells every other day and that's nice; it's called I'll Walk With You. But anyways that's the life of Susanna right now.

1st day of college!!!

I have met one other roommate and found out that I meet my other one tomorrow. =) I have had one class so far and it went by fast. I really like my teacher. She makes sure everyone is on the same page and loves answering questions. I offered to say the opening prayer and I asked questions. So I think I made a good first impression. =) Now I have to do that with all my other classes. haha. I did meet 3 people from my first class (psychology), so I think that's a good start. I don't really have homework yet, but I'm thinking math and english will give homework. James and Megan are kind enough to invite me over to their house every now and then to do some laundry and maybe have a free homemade meal. =) yum! Idaho isn't as cold as I expected, but my ears do freeze. I decorated my side of the room cute...so here's some pics.

Going Going Gone!
I'm in college now. Arrived today! My nerves have changed from nothnig, to nervous, to excited, to scared, and now back to nervous and worried. I just hope everything goes well and that I know where everything is! =/ I got groceries with my mom and then went to a welcome meeting and quickly said goodbye. It was weird because I didn't feel like this is real...I felt and still feel like I'll see my family in a few days. haha. But I did end up with tears in my eyes and my mom had walked away crying. =( My classes are early in the morning (7:45am) and my latest class goes until 4pm. And then I'm going to try to look for a job tomorrow, but idk even where to look. I have a lead on a nursing home, but idk how far away it is. I have met one roommate out of three, she's really nice and likes most of the stuff I like. We both felt a little home sick and realized we never knew how much work it is to HAVE to cook and we missed home cooked meals...so we decided to order pizza and hot wings. It was delish! =) I hope tomorrow goes as planned and that I'll be able to meet my other roomates! Grrr...that frustrates me that I don't even know the person I'm rooming with! But o well, there's time to figure that out. I have been in my friend's dorm...she's across this courtyard thingy, but if I really wanted to I could yell from my balcony to her's. =P And yup, that's my first day at college. Classes start on Wednesday and I'm taking Human Biology, Psychology, Book of Mormon, Math, and English. I hope to get into a dance class or group soon. O and I have not unpacked like anything yet.
