Can't Believe it is July Again

 Well, a year has passed without an update to this blog. No excuses, I just didn't do it.  🙂  

We are doing okay, but have missed our trips. Heat pump died in February and had to be replaced. Then a new washer and dryer, the kitchen faucet broke, and so on. I stayed busy sewing and did very little cross stitch. The only two stitching finishes were two Lizzie Kate ornaments and a snowman that I haven't made into an ornament yet. I am going to try to finish a few of the many in progress ornaments this year. 

I also made some flat fabric ornaments to put inside cards. I think they turned out cute. 

On the sewing front, mostly small projects. Which included a ton of face coverings that I gave away.

Even though there was no winter cruise this year, I did make my annual cruise bag. It is bright and cheerful and I'll be ready for next year!

I almost forgot, after searching for over two years I finally found a purple Kenmore model 158.523!!  And it was only about 10 miles from us.  I named her Daisy Belle and I love her.

That's it from here, hope everyone is doing well! I can't end a post without a few pictures  of the girls. They have certainly enjoyed having us home a lot. 

Some Sewing

I have been sewing a lot, but never seem to find time to post pictures. But I wanted to share a few things I've finished while staying at home.

This Drawstring Project Bag is one of my favorites. I made the large, but I think it is really more of a medium. It is a great size for a stitching bag but I think it needs to be a bit wider for a knitting bag. I'm going to make a bigger one soon.  Pattern by Kandou Crafts.

This one is the Marsupial Hip Bag, pattern by Lauren of MoreMeKnow.  It is big and roomy, and I love that the front pocket has some depth to it.  I added a slip pocket inside. I am currently working on another one.

The Sew Sweetness FaceBook group had a sew along for the Clydebank Tote. It is big! I really love the alligator fabric and I bought the cute hand sanitizer holder from Blooming Artsy Corner on Facebook. 

I hadn't done any quilting in years, but all of the extra stay at home time was perfect for polishing my piecing skills. I managed to finish this table runner and pillow in time for the 4th of July. 

I love how this turned out.

 I have the pieces cut out to make a small table topper to match. 

Reds and blues came out of the scrap bin. 

I even put a hidden zipper on the back.

Wow, I can't believe that I haven't updated my blog in over two years. I hope that everyone is staying safe. I've been staying busy sewing and stitching. Next month I will try to get back to posting once a month. Until then, I will leave you with a picture from Grand Cayman, February 2020.

Bags and More Bags

Well, I had a busy fall making bags. I made myself another handbag and several of my friends wanted one.  It is the "Margo" bag from Lazy Girl Designs. It is a great size and has lots of pockets inside. I shared pictures of my first "Margo" bag in the last post.

#3 I love the Dragonfly fabric from Ink and Arrow Fabrics.

#4 My friend provided the red print and asked that the rest of the bag be blue.

#5 I love these fabrics that another friend provided for her bag.

And I also finally finished these "Claire" tote bags, another Lazy Girl Designs pattern. I think it is fun that the back and front are different. 

I made two of these. Love the cardinals.

And the last one is another Lazy Girl Design (Summer Tote). Love the Mickey fabric.
