Cartoon Me

I made a cartoon character of me. The hardest was getting the blonde hair right because all the colors were these bright yellows instead of blondes. And I don't wear earrings that much because I work at the hospital and teach power tumbling, but I thought since I was getting dressed up for this fake character of me then I can have some dangling earrings. Try it, it was pretty fun!

Nothing new at the Hill Home for now. I have some pretty fun news to announce in about 2 weeks. For now I will just leave you hanging!! Kaden's new word is Yum!! He says is like "mum" and it is so cute. His new thing is to get naked and come lay on my lap while grabbing my hand and forcing me to tickle his tummy. Right now I am tickling his back with my left hand and typing with my right hand. He just lays on my lap, relaxing while I tickle. What a spoiled little man.

Happy 4 year Anniversary

Ty and I celebrated our Anniversary on Aug 21st. By celebrating, I mean we went on a cool camping trip up to Yellowstone! We invited Mike and Beth to come and there son Treston that is Kaden's age. Ty and I were telling eachother the best things that have happened these past 4 years. They included Kaden joining our family, buying a house, graduating from college, going on some cool vacations, taking care of eachother during some major surgery, and other things.

I really don't know how many cookies Kaden ate that night. He was running around everything. The video looked better on my camera because you could see, so sorry if you can't see Kaden very good.

The one and only buffalo we saw right before we left the park. His head was bobbing up and down like he was just about to fall asleep. I thought only humans did that. Now I guess buffaloes can to.

It was an awesome trip that we had to cut short because I had to work Sat. night. I felt bad for being the reason we all had to leave, but we were all so tired anyway that we were all secretly grateful for the excuse to get home and take a nap.

Ohh...I almost forgot to tell the worst part of the trip. Well we were in the gift shop at Old Faithful and Kaden was in the stroller. The aisles are really skinny and there were so many Asians in this little shop it was hard to move around. Well anyway, Kaden got a hold of this ceramic pitcher and dropped it. Ty was trying to save it but none-the-less it crashed and broke. I was so pissed especially after I saw that it cost $40. I could buy that thing from Target for less that $10. If we could produce steam you would have been able to see if coming out of my ears I was so mad. So cute little Beth goes up to one of the clerks and told them what happened. Come to find out, they told us that we didn't have to pay for it. Yeah!! Hallelujah!! We bought Beth an ice-cream cone for saving us $40.

Darby Creek

Tyrel, Kaden and I went hiking up Darby Creek a couple Saturday's ago and had a lot of fun. We forgot Kaden's hat poor kid, so Ty shared his visor with him. I think the funniest part of the hike was when Kaden would tap Ty on the shoulder and say "Mo, pees!" meaning he would want more of whatever Ty was feeding him like fruit snacks or a granola bar. It was a nice hike. Not too steep with plenty of shade. The path was really skinny so only one person could be on it. Poor Ty had to look at my behind the whole time...well maybe I should say Lucky Ty...jk!!

Later that night we went to the drive in theater and saw Hancock. We put a mattress in the back of the truck and loaded it with lots of pillows and blankets. Kaden just layed between us watching the movie eating starbursts. He was so cute! We had a lot of fun. It has been so nice up here because it gets pretty warm in the day, but then it cools off to the perfect temperature at night!

My 24th of July

A much needed update...

I am happy to say that I am a "Pioneer Baby". (translation...my birthday is on Pioneer Day!...ummm ya know...the 24th of July). When I lived in Utah I got parades and fireworks for my birthday and I really thought they were for me.

This year my B-day was on a Thursday so Ty was at work, but my family definitely made me feel special. I worked two nights in a row before my birthday, so Michelle watched Kaden for me in the AM. When I woke up, all us gals went to the Temple (Mom, Michelle, Beth and me) and left 5 kids to Travis and DJ. Then we all got matching Breaking Dawn bracelets and returned to eat dinner at my Mom's.

The highlight of the Party though was for sure the CAKE!! I was totally surprised. They wouldn't let me look at it so when the lights were dimmed and the singing started, I caught my first glimpse of the cake. I was laughing so hard. I couldn't believe it. They recreated the book cover of Breaking Dawn with candles all around. I have an awesome family!

So my birthday was a Blast! Thanks everyone who made me feel special. (I got your message Steph!! Thanks for calling me on my B-Day!!) I guess I should say that the Cake wasn't the biggest highlight to my evening. Ty got me a surprise present. I lifted the box and it was really heavy. All I really asked for was a pair of black converse sneakers, and that box was tons heavier. I ripped it open and found my self starring at a big white box with three little letters on it. W-I-I. My cute husband bought me a Wii!! We have had so much fun playing that thing. He beats me at everything, no matter how much I practice...Except for Boxing. I have knocked him out every time, and every time he throws the control and storms out of the room mumbling to himself that it is such a stupid game. I just gloat silently to myself.

Well the strep throat is gone and I feel so much better. I still have a weeks worth of antibiotics to take so that is kind of annoying. So far Kaden hasn't acted sick, but Ty and I are watching him like a hawk. We hope everyone is still enjoying the sunshine!

Strep Throat

Sorry about the lack of posts. At first I was going to post a bunch of way cute pics, but blogger says there is an internal error and won't upload them. So I will just get off easy this time and tell you all not to visit the Hill Home due to the intense Strep Throat bug that has been haunting us for the last week. Ty got it last Wed. and I got it yesterday. I used to get Strep when I was a kid and no big deal. You just take the bubble gum medicine and you were better, but getting old stinks because sicknesses take a tole on the old bod. I am achy all over, dizzy, my neck kills, and trying to take care of a whiny almost 2yr old is hard when you have no energy to even get up to pee. Sorry... once the house is disinfected and I feel better, I will try to upload my pics and update the ol' blog! Peace out...
