Ski Trip

My boys are now skiers! We borrowed some kid skis and boots from a friend and we were able to take the boys up skiing. Brandon brought a rope to pull them up the hill and to teach them how to get the balance down. After a few runs down the kid hill, Brody really caught on and loved it. By the end he was skiing on his own without any help. Jake tried it a couple times too and liked it. I loved watching my little skiers! We had a blast and also loved being up in the mountains on a sunny spring day.

Visit from Grandma and Grandpa Welch

My parents came to visit us from Seattle a couple weeks ago. It's always great to see them and to have them here at our house. The boys loved reading with Grandma, playing balloons with Grandpa, and were very sad when they had to say good-bye. I was excited to have my parents here for my birthday. We were able to go out to dinner and then come back home for some ice cream cake. YUM! The boys picked out presents to give me all by themselves, which included Diego/Dora bubbles, party blowers, candy, Lightning McQueen spinners, etc., and helped me blow out my birthday candles. Camera practice

The other day, I brought out my Nikon, and decided to take some pictures of the boys. I don't use this camera as much as my smaller one because it's bigger and kind of a pain to carry around, but the quality is so much better, so I think I might just suck it up and use it more.

It was a lot of fun capturing these moments and trying to get the boys to do different things. Getting a picture of both of these cute boys smiling at the same time was harder than I thought, but it was definitely fun trying, and I got some great silly ones too. I really enjoy taking pictures, if only I knew what I was doing. :)

Basketball

Here's our little dudes learning to hoop it up! I signed Brody up for a basketball class through the city, and it's a lot of fun. Jake, of course, can't help but to join in with all the drills. At the first class Brody, wasn't too sure if he wanted to participate, but now after getting more comfortable and familiar with everything he is liking it. I love watching Brody learn new things and get involved with other kids. Go Brody!

Snow!

We finally had some snow! It was a quick snow storm, but at least it gave us enough snow to make a snowman and throw some snowballs at each other. This winter has been super dry, so when we saw it snowing outside we were very excited. The boys loved shoveling, throwing snowballs, and just stomping in the snow. Hopefully there will be more snow on the way!
