Dados' Wedding

Sherri's bestest (and only) sister Christie (aka Dados) just recently was married in the SL Temple in October. We were so lucky to be able to attend, even if it only was for a few short days. It was sooo good to see so many family and friends we haven't seen forever. Christie looked beautiful of course, and the day was perfect. The sun was out the leaves were every color imaginable and the flowers hadn't died yet. The perfect day for the cutest, perfect couple.

The family - sure love them all! Sherri's cousin Kerri. She and Christie are the same age and grew up as the best of friends. Kerri just got married this weekend - Congrats Kerri, wish we could have been there! Shayne's good friend, Jeff, just happened to be getting married the same day. We were glad we could at least see him to wish him well since we had to miss the wedding and reception. Of course the bride had comfortable shoes...anything for her on her big day! :) The boys/brothers They were struggling a bit with the GQ face - pretty funny to watch! These 2 pics just show how fun and goofy these two are, they will have so much fun together! Dad burned a hole in his pockets with this one Grant wouldn't let us take this pic unless he was holding flowers too. Should we be worried? Cute uncle and his niece! Sarah told Shayne the day before the wedding "Look for me I'll be the one in the beautiful dress". She is too funny! I loved this pic I caught, I thought they both looked so cute walking with Sarah holding her skirt up - she's going to be a heartbreaker, she already is! Of course we had to decorate the car, but promised to keep it clean so better something than nothing at all! Wiped out and still beautiful! Really wiped out! I think we were all wipe out by the end of the day. Weddings are long and exhausting but oh so fun. Congratulations you guys - we love you!

Recap - It's been a long while!

It has definitely been awhile - a long while since we have blogged. Yes we are still alive and having a great time. Here is a recap of what we've been up to. Sorry it's going to be lengthy and I don't expect anyone to look at it, but it is for my journaling purposes so if you are bored then have at it!

For the first of the summer Shayne spent a good portion of it doing a whole lot of this He had 3 weeks to study for boards after Spring Semester ended, for those of you that think that sounds like a lot of time, I can assure you it is not. Thus Shayne was gone from dawn and until well after dusk studying his brains out. _________________________________________________________ Mom & Dad - Thanks for such a great time! I went on the annual Later Family trip to Newport Beach. It definitely wasn't the same without Shayne and some of the other siblings but I can't complain - I just love the beach!

These people all wanted you to pay to have their pic with them. We tried to sneek as many pics as we could - some of the costumes were really cool.

We went on the Hollywood Tour of the stars home. Above Steven Spielberg, Simon Cowell and Britney Spears, Georges Marciano (owner of Guess) and Jennifer Aniston's homes. The bottom right is Jen Aniston's mailbox - she had the biggest one out of them all. We tried out for Family Feud. It was actually really fun - I would highly recommend it! Mom & I walked down to the tide pools one night. You have to walk through this tunnel to get to them. It is really long so the pictures make the walk less boring! I also got to celebrate my birthday with the fam at Cheesecake factory! Chicken Mediera MMMMM! _______________________________________________________ Since I literally never saw him for these three weeks, to occupy my time I went to my brother's up in Michigan to hang out for the 4th of July and hang out with these little cuties We went to Greenfield Village - it's a great little place with tons of historical buildings and museums. This is a picture of the Robert Frost home This is the Rosa Park Bus - this display was very humbling, I can't believe they actually had things labeled - so glad it's not that way anymore!! The kids loved the carousel. We also went on a Model T ride and the kids did a puppet show. We ate lots of good food, saw tons of fireworks and went to the park. I had a lot of fun but we definitely missed Shayne - Sarah kept asking where he was! ________________________________________________________ I was Young Women Personal Progress Advisor so I also got to spend a lot of my time doing fun activities with these cute girls! Oh yeah and I dyed my hair! These 2 definitely were great company during those lonely nights! I'm in a group that meets once a month to play Bunco, just something else to occupy my time while the hubby is away. _______________________________________________________ SHAYNE PASSED HIS BOARDS!!! I never doubted that he would, but I was so proud of how hard he studied. What a relief for him to be done. Now I get my husband back - YEAH!! We had a celebratory dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House.

It was great to finally be able to have Shayne come with me for all of the fun things. I always felt so bad having fun without him while he studied!

Jazz and Rib Festival They had ribs from all over, there were the best ribs we have ever had! ____________________________________________________

Shayne turned 29 - we celebrated with friends at Genji's Japanese Steakhouse (our favorite restaurant here in Columbus) ________________________________________________

The Columbus Crew Soccer team played Real SL and we were able to go to the game - they actually a lot of fun! _______________________________________________ My mom came for a visit. We spent one night making posies for my sister's wedding, talking and eating lots of ice cream. My mom and I went to Kirtland. It was just supposed to be a day trip but....$700 and a day later we came home. My car had problems and we couldn't leave til it was was fixed. It made for some good memories!

We went raspberry picking - you could eat as much as you wanted while you picked. We all ate way too much!

We went to German Village - they have these best creme puffs that are the size of your head - so good!

We were spoiled! Right after Sherri's mom came to visit then Shayne's mom and grandma came. We spent one day at Hocking Hills, it was beautiful!

Of course we couldn't miss out on Handel's Ice Cream. Even the dogs got a treat! (We discovered they give the dogs free ice cream which is why people always have their dogs there)

Raquel, Molly and I went and saw the American Idol Concert. So fun but sooo loud. Adam was so gross, as usual, but Kris was amazing!! ___________________________________________________

Yes you are seeing correctly, that is Lebron James and Shaq - we were able to go to a Calves game and watch them play. _____________________________________________________ All in all we are working hard and playing hard too!
