Sledding

We took some students from Egypt and some other friends sledding on Saturday.   The Egyptians loved playing in the snow.  They took hundreds of pictures of each other.  We played for about 2 hours before the students needed to work.

  It was a beautiful day, the wind picked up for a little bit and there were snow storms all around us but it stayed nice where we were.  

 
There ended up being 6 kids and 9 adults.  The grown ups had as much fun as the kids racing and finding new steeper, faster hills.

The guys of course had to build a jump.

How do you like the "extras" in this shot?

Boston was definitely the best at landing his jumps (except for his last run).  Others landed straight on their back or sideways.  I am sure most people were pretty sore today.

Trick or Treat

I was so excited that we finally have enough kids in our neighborhood to stay home and trick or treat.  We had all but 2 kids come.  We went to the business first and then we were supposed to head back to the neighborhood but the kids started knocking on the hotel room doors. 

Leaves!

Boston had a short week at school so, he and I went to SLC.  This was a perfect afternoon for playing in the leaves.

Pumpkin Farm

I was surprised that Boston wanted to ride the horse.  He usually hates animals.

No doubt these two were meant to be cousins.

Check out my new smile!

Pulling out his tooth was a very traumatic experience.   He kept saying, "Are you sure this won't hurt?  Are you sure I will be able to eat?  Are you sure I should pull it out?"

New smile!

His other bottom tooth was loose. He started wiggling it the next day.  He pulled it out at 6 am the next morning.  I had to explain that the tooth fairy had already gone home and could not come until tomorrow. 

Great Grandma

Boston heard that Great Grandma was not feeling well so, he immediately painted this picture for her.  "I hope you have a happy day Great Grandma!"

He loves to tell nonsense jokes and laugh and laugh.  There's nothing you can do but laugh along.

Monster Trucks

Boston loves monster trucks.  He is becoming quite the expert.  There are a few monster truck shows on Netflix that he watches over and over.  He loves to check monster truck books out from the library.   We surprised him with this monster truck show.  We had fun but it got a little long and he was asking to go home and go to bed towards the end.  

Neighbors

We've had a few new families move in.  Today we had 20 kids in the sandbox.  It is fun to have lots of kids running around the neighborhood.

Our neighborhood is so fun even the antelope want to live here.

Old Cars

Boston was very impressed with the cars.  The owners were cleaning their vehicles while we were walking around.  Boston's comments about how cool the paint jobs were or their shark fins made the owners smile.

A New Job

When Boston is not busy with Kindergarten work he helps out around here.

First Day of School

Boston loves school.  He has a great teacher.  I thought that all day Kindergarten would be too much but he is doing great.  He talks all about music and choice time.  He loves recess one day and hates it the next. He does not like it when the older kids are out at recess at the same time as his class.  He tries to use his teachers attention getters like, "one, two, three eyes on me" or "everyone stop and give me five" on Spencer and I.  My favorite saying is, "It might be hard, but I will try." 

Demolition Derby

Wow!  We had tons of  fun.  Boston kept getting upset because the cars he chose got crashed too much.
