Sometimes I get a little distracted, and I really haven't been that good at updating the blog. At least not as regular as I should. I now have a stock pile of pictures I need to blog about. I won't cram them all in one blog, rather I'll try to pace them out.

So I moved. Nothing big,

just to another house in the same town. I really love our new house. There's a lot of positives about this house compared to my old house.

We basically doubled our space while keeping the same rent. So I pretty much love this deal.

But apparently I'm a horrible house photographer, so please don't ask me to photograph your house...wouldn't be a good idea.

This picture is of our front room and what we call our dining room. Its close enough to the kitchen and we have since put a kitchen table set there as well... ergo, its our dining room.

Here is the kitchen. Very spacious. Could use some more cupboard space, but I like it. Especially the orange counter tops.

Bathroom Numero Uno. We obviously have put stuff up since, but these were just the move in pictures.

Here is the back room. I LOVE THIS WOOD BURNING STOVE!!!

Here are the creepy stairs that go upstairs. Very creepy, indeed.

Room number 1 upstairs. Since there isn't a lot of storage, this room makes a great craft stuff receptacle.

And the creme de la creme. Our bedroom. Please brace yourself. The color palette of the previous renters had some serious problems.

We have since repainted it, but another time, another blog for that one.

Pretty great, huh? At least I can sleep better at night with the Easter-themed craziness gone.

I guess we will see what I will find in the archives for my next blog.

The Bread Winner in the Family

Guess what? I have a new favorite bread recipe.

I've made this bread at least 5 times in the last 3 weeks... different variations, but still, that's a bit excessive, if I do say so myself. I just can't help myself!!!

Hey Good Lookin'... What's Cookin'?

So I've been a little lazy lately posting, but I have a slew of pictures of things I have made in the recent past. So enjoy my photos :)

Fig and Pear Crumble Bar.

I really couldn't take the fig, but it tasted really good.

Awesome BBQ pizza. It had spinach, tomatoes, onions, peppers (two different kinds).

I canned tomatoes for the first time. Quite proud of myself, if I do say so myself.

Delicious Mango Salsa!

Mexican Rice from scratch. Thanks to Jason's brother who gave us this sweet recipe.

Deluxe Burgers. (Sure its elk meat, but it was still ok). Pickles, tomatoes, onions and lettuce sealed the deal with this burger.

Pear Butter, that I also canned. It tastes just like apple butter, but of course better because I made it ;)

Sweet Potato bread. Surprisingly good. I did a second batch with craisins in it. And the orange zest flavor added the perfect combo to the sweet potatoes.

Well, that's it for now. Hopefully the pictures have left you drooling.

Updates, Updates, Updates...

So I'm finally going to stop being a slacker and do an update. I've finally accrued enough photos to make a justified effort.

Let's see, what to start with...

I went to Pennsylvania. That's pretty exciting and will hopefully catch your interest.

Our flight left at 5:30 am, so we had to leave our house by 3 am... wow were we tired :(

We got there safe and sound with online a little turbulence. I know that Jason's family were pretty excited to see us since we haven't seen some of them since we got married.

However, I think Jason was most excited for...

Dunkin' Donuts... oh how he loves his Dunkin'!

Especially this kind. white powder, white cream.

Jason's a little grumpy in this picture because a) I was taking his picture or b) he wasn't eating his favorite kind of donut because they were all gone. I'm not sure which option is correct, but I'll go with the later.

We had fun. We made dinner one night. Sweet pork tacos. Apple pie (all from scratch). One night we had stuffed pizza. I was told it is not a calzone... but it looked like a huge calzone to me. It was really good pizza though.

One of the highlight was Hershey Park. First of all, CHOCOLATE. Second, Roller coasters. Third, my friend COLETTE.

I have not seen Colette either since my wedding. She lives in Washington D.C. now, so I"m really glad she made the trip up to PA. It was one of the highlights of my trip, that's for sure!

Here I am thinking you have to have closed-toe shoes to go to amusement parks, but maybe its just Lagoon that has that rule. Jason was able to get on all the rides, no questions... oh well...

We got to check off one of our goals... Jason and I wanted to get our picture taken with the Reese's Cup Character...

Apparently, Jason wanted to attack the Reese's Character because as you can see from my face, I was very surprised when Jason basically squeezed the Reese Guy's head off. He just latched on... Silly Jason!

We also rode the carts for the "educational" tour on how Hershey chocolate is made.

If only I had the right mind to do a video clip, you could enjoy the whirlwind of a tour. It kind of reminded me of the scene from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory where they are on that boat and have no control as to where they are going, and all this sensory overload... That's very much what it reminded me of... plus the little jingle they played on the tour still get gets stuck in my head sometimes.

And in Pennsylvania, I finally got meet some of my nieces I have never seen before (except in pictures).

First is Mallory:

She's a little cutie.

And second, Gianna:

If Mallory is little petite one, then Gianna is the chubs. She's a really good baby.

I'm really glad I finally got to meet them. They are both all sorts of cuteness!

So overall, good times in PA. We will have to do it again, and hopefully with more family around, too.

Since this is becoming a rather lengthy post, and I don't want to loose anyone's attention. I think we will call it good for now.

Second Wave of Fabric Painting

Looks like its that time again when I post about something I've made, whether it be cooking or crafting.

My sister-in-law had her baby (a little late to announce it, I know) at the end of June. Here are the onesies I sent to the little babe:

Volksmarch Revisited

Myers' 2nd Annual Volksmarch up to Crazy Horse... sure this was the 26th year that the Volksmarch has been going on, but only the 2nd year that Jason and I have done it.

It was pretty fun that we got to go with friends of ours, so it was nice to have the company.

We started off at the hottest part of the day, and it was a rather warm day. Very smart on our part.

Jason set the pace, and we all tried to keep up :(

We eventually made it to the top... and took a breather... uh, I mean scenic detour...

But Jason and I had lots of fun, and maybe a little sunburned :)
