Wedding #6

My cousin, David and Andrea, came to AZ for her brother's wedding. Eric and Amanda were such a beautiful couple. I love our new extended family members. The reception was held in Tempe and I love seeing all the different ways one can beautify a ward cultural hall. We had a short visit with David while he brought us up to date on all the Clark family news in Utah. I am enjoying all the weddings. I will never tire of love and happiness and grinning newlyweds! So cute!

Gila Valley Temple Dedication

My dad and I were asked to decorate our stake center for the temple dedication. Since the stake center was considered an extension of the temple for this event, the stake presidency wanted nice floral arrangements. We decided to do something simple and elegant. We were pleased with how it turned out. The stake president liked the silk floral arrangements we did for the chapel he decided to keep them. He was happy and that's what counted. My dad is super talented!

Singles Ward Activities

Since we were called to serve in the YSA Ward last November, our social life has become quite impressive! We feel like we're back in college, although our energy level isn't quite the same!!! Ugh! These are a few highlights of our activities. Camping, snow activity, etiquette dinner, First Friday Cultural event, Christmas lights at Mesa Temple, weekly FHE's and lots of weddings!

Season of Weddings

Between this May and August we have 13 weddings to attend!! These are just the first few. But what a blessing it has been being a part of and witnessing these beautiful couples being sealed together in the temple. Nothing compares!

Time to update!

So I took a little "break" from writing on my blog. I knew that would happen once I got so involved with FB! It's just too easy to post a simple comment every day. Our lives have become super busy with our new assignment in the Singles Ward. Not a lot of free time these days. We absolutely love serving in this ward and enjoy every minute we spend with our YSA's. It's definitely a different lifestyle and we are feeling our age! We are trying to keep up with all the events and weddings etc. I love being "Mother of the Ward." The best calling "we" have ever had! The best thing that has happened to us and the greatest blessing! I feel very fortunate to associate with such amazing people. I truly admire and appreciate and love them.
