Big Bed!

Eason finally got his big bed. It is all he has been talking about lately. He is doing great in it. He loves going to bed. We are constantly finding books in it. He loves to "read" to his stuffed Elmo. He is so happy to have a big bed" now!

Gathering Eggs

Eason loves to help his daddy gather pheasant eggs. He would gather eggs ten times a day if we let him. He loves to help.

Here is Eason hiding in the hamper. He was trying to trick Daddy. He put the lid on and Bryan really couldn't find him...until he heard the giggles! It was quite funny.
Eason loves to celebrate birthdays! He loves singing and blowing out the candles. We have to do it several times before cutting the cake! He helped Daddy blow out his birthday candles over and over again. We found out that he loves ice cream cake...but who doesn't?

Bryan had to fly to Dallas, Texas for a business meeting. Eason had a good time watching the plane take off. He didn't really understand why Daddy wasn't going home with us though and searched for him once we did get home. It was really cute, but I felt bad because he missed Bryan so much. He was very happy when Daddy came home two days later. Here he is waving bye-bye as the plane took off.
Note that his shirt has a doggy on it. Some days he will only wear doggies. At bedtime he will only wear doggy pajamas. We actually had to buy two sets of the same pjs to avoid the bedtime drama.

Big Boy!

Eason loved helping Grandpa install the new railing on our stairs. He is such a big boy and a good helper! He had to have his tools and do whatever Grandpa did. He just couldn't get over the holes Grandpa drilled. He is still talking about them. Every time we go upstairs he says, "Grandpa, nice...(then points to the rails) HOLES!" He continues until we acknowledge that Grandpa made holes while putting up the railing and that Eason helped. He is very serious about it. We don't imagine it will stop anytime soon either. He is still talking about the holes Poppy put in their ceiling when they renovated the dining room and living room last summer.

Eason loves being outside, partly because he gets to wear his boots! He has been enjoying playing in what snow is left. He had to take his bucket with him last night so he could get some "ice" which he then tried to eat!

Mommy's Little Helper

Here is Eason "helping" me cook!

He has been such a good helper lately. He loves taking care of his daddy! He actually seems to understand that Bryan can't hold him. He says, "Daddy hurt back." Then he tries to show us his back, "Easie's back." His Aunt Danielle has been taking good care of him lately; she has been staying over a lot to help out. She is a God send! I don't know what we would do without our family's help.

Eason can't wait to see his aunts and his cousins this weekend. He keeps talking about it! He likes to list everyone's names and then tries to call them on the phone.

Tonight, as I finished reading him a story called Hug, all he wanted to do was hug his Daddy. I felt bad because Bryan was already downstairs and has to limit his stair climbing. I of course, convinced Eason to give me all of Daddy's hugs as well as mine! I love being the mommy! I did promise to pass them on to Bryan though, I guess I had better do that now!

Welcome!

Hello! This is my attempt to capture some of the day-to-day joys of motherhood. Eason turned two in January and the new baby is due in June. With Bryan just having had back surgery this week we are certainly in for some trying times. Eason has been helping though...his new favorite word! He especially loves helping to make supper. I'll try to post some pictures of him "'helping" soon. I even have some of him helping to make his own birthday cake. He is such a ham.
