The Big "5"!

My baby turned 5!!!! I haven't taken any official portraits yet...bad mommy!...but here are some pictures from his actual birthday and from his party.

His birth day was a regular old day with school, tae kwon do and Katie's dance. I did take him cookies at school to celebrate and Katie was able to decorate a cake for him!




Ryan's birthday party was super creepy crawly! His science teacher brought some lizards, snakes, frogs, turtles, a tarantula and even a bunny! The kids loved it!

Ryan's First day of 4's Preschool!

Ryan is beginning his last year of preschool...so hard to believe next year both my babies will be in elementary school. For now I will just charish my baby for one more year. He has some WONDERFUL teachers and I am already seeing more things coming home this year than last. Ryan seems to be enjoying it too which is a great thing.

Another Year brings 2nd Grade!

Oh this poor blog. Life has definitely changed in the past year. Less time for relaxing and picture taking and more time shuttling kids from here to there.

but of course I had to share my big girl heading off to second grade. She seems SOOOO big....way to big with two teachers and switching classes. *sigh*



And along with a new school year comes a new dance year. Can't wait to see how she grows as a dancer this year. Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Leaps and Turns and Company are the classes on her plate. I don't know how she's going to do it but she LOVES dance so we are holding on for dear life and jumping in! I've also included a comparison between her first day of 1st grade and 2nd grade. WOW!!!!!

Ryan and his Yellow Belt!

Ryan has been doing Tae Kwon Do for a few months now and so far he likes it! On Friday he tested for his Yellow Belt which was a huge accomplishment for him! We are so proud!!!!! We were not able to make the big group test so we had to do a private test with Master Cho but honestly I think that was better for Ryan. He did awesome and it was quick. The parts of the test were counting to 5 in Korean, Yellow Belt Forms, Certain Kicks and punches and finally breaking the board. He was in shock that he broke that board! So proud of him!

Another year of Dance in the books!

We are knee deep in summer camps and all the things that summer brings. One big thing is Katie's annual dance recital! This year she danced both nights which makes for a long weekend. On Friday night she did her Company routine, Land of Nod as well as participated in the Finale production which was awesome! She's always wanted to be in the Finale so this was a BIG deal! I helped back stage with some younger classes so I didn't get many pictures.


Saturday she did her Ballet and Tap routines (Jazz didn't have a routine this recital)as well as round two of Finale! She did AWESOME! I'm so proud!



And here is Katie with her teachers from this year, minus her Company teacher (we still have Nationals coming up in July!). She is so lucky to have such amazing teachers and assistants to learn the art of dance from and look up to.

E-I-E-I OOPS!! A First Grade Play

Katie had her first grade play last week and it was super cute. I purchased the DVD so hopefully I'll be able to share it! For now here are some pictures of my Little Bo Peep. Her Grandma K made her hat, apron and bloomers. So special!
