Bailey's birthday party

The first picture is all the family on my side that came to Bailey's baptism. I need to get the picture of Taylor's side from someone- if anyone has it please email it to me!
Right after her baptism she had a swim party at grandma and papa Albright's. She had a blast swimming, eating, playing games, and opening presents!



Great Grandma Joyce Wasden, Great Grandma Leanne Foutz, Great Grandma Barbara Albright and Great Grandpa Vern Albright (in the house) were all there!

Grandma's are the Best!

About 2 months ago Bailey came home from church and said, "I want Grandma Joyce to sew me a dress that is blue with a yellow collar because grandma's are the best." She went straight to her room, wrote grandma a letter describing what she wanted, put it in an envelope with all her pennys, dimes, and nickles, and brought it to me to mail it. I knew it wouldn't get far with all that change in it, so when grandma came to town a couple weeks later I gave it to her. When grandma came down to Bailey's baptism she had the dress all made and wrapped up. It is the CUTEST dress you have ever seen! The flowers on the collar are my grandma's 'buttons' that she makes and puts on pillows. She also made 2 darling headbands with small buttons on top of them! When Bailey opened the dress her face lit up! She was so excited! Thank you grandma!!!

Bailey's Baptism

Bailey was baptized on July 24th. We had a family baptism because we were going to be out of town for Uncle Jordan's wedding for the stake baptisms. It was a wonderful day! Bailey had been counting down the days for months. She wanted everyone she knew to be there. She had an amazing turn out for a summer weekend and a Mormon holiday. She had about 50 family and friends there.
Payton gave the opening prayer, Aunt Ashlee gave the baptism talk, Grandma Ellen gave the Holy Ghost talk, Taylor and Aunt Kelly sang 2 beautiful songs, and I gave the closing prayer. Her daddy baptized her and confirmed her.
She knew exactly the dress she wanted when she saw it- nothing fluffy or ruffly like I wanted her to get- just pretty and simple. She wanted a 'flower halo' as she calls it. I had to beg her to let me put a little curl at the end of her hair. She looked like an angel! Ashlee came early and took these beautiful pictures for us- Thank you Ashlee!!
Bailey had 3 non-member friends come to the baptism. After the baptism she was so excited that they came and that she had been an example to them to get baptized. She is also the first cousin on both sides to get baptized so she was again very excited to be the example to all her cousins and siblings.
Ever since her baptism she has doubled the length of her personal prayers and says she is trying hard to listen to the spirit. She is such a wonderful little girl and we are so blessed to have her in our home! Congratulations Bailey! We Love You!

The 4th of July

July 4th was on a Sunday this year so Summerlin did its parade on July 3rd. Taylor and Deloy went early and saved us great seats. Then the kids and I came 1/2 hour before the parade which was perfect. Most of my family met us there which was really fun to have the cousins all together. It was a great parade and the kids all loved it. The only hard thing was making them walk back to the car in the heat after the parade- we had to park pretty far. In the evening we went to the park and watched firework show that the Redrock Hotel put on.

Walking back to the car it was SO HOT that we had to stop and buy pushups.

Both the boys fell asleep on the way home-yeah!

Romney turned 1!

On June 14 my baby turned 1! He is growing up too fast! He is probably my calmest and easiest baby. He loves for me to hold him and just lays his head on my shoulder! He never cries when I lay him down for his naps and for bed. He is so easy going and never really cries. He has the sweetest smile and is such a blessing in our home. His brother and sisters adore him and love to make him laugh. Happy Birthday Romers!

Hollywood Kids

Bailey and Payton take lessons at Hollywood Kids and love it! This semester they put on the whole musical of 'Beauty and the Beast'. They did an incredible job! Bailey was one of the silly girls which fit her perfectly, and Payton was a narrator and did an amazing job. They were both in all of the songs and dance numbers too. It is so fun to watch their talents grow!
