A wonderful Christmas!

We had such a great Christmas this year! It was filled with fun family Christmas parties, lots of snow, and the pure joy of a little girls second Christmas. Unfortunately Sage was terrified of Santa this year. There was no way she was getting near him. The first time I tried to sit her on Santa's lap she screamed bloody murder and clung to me like a little monkey! It was so traumatic! Poor girl. I guess that Santa didn't hold it against her because she got lots of presents from him Christmas morning. Christmas Eve was so fun this year with the Simons family! Mostly because the clan is growing and the Christmas spirit that the kids bring is so much more fun! We did the Nativity which actually turned into a disaster! Sage was the fleeing Angel along with Trevor, Hannah, and Gabrielle. In the end Trevor was ripping his costume off and Hannah was upset because "Grandma ruined everything!" The adults weren't helping the situation at all with all of the talking and yelling to "turn that music off!" Which I guess Grandma thought would summons the angel to appear! We thought she had lost it! We felt like we were in the middle of the TV show "Brothers and Sisters". It was hilarious! We really had a fun and exciting night with family! Christmas morning Sage walked into the family room that had her new twin babies, double stroller, and double high chair. She ran over to it, gave it a good long look, then took off with the stroller. She stopped in the kitchen to peek over at her new doll and said with the cutest voice, "baby!". It was so fun. I love Christmas!

It's picture time!!

Thanks to an excellent camera and my wonderfully talented neice Megan we took family pictures yesterday! Megan knew of this fantastic place in Lindon to take picture's and I took full advantage. I thought that she did an incredible job and I was very happy with our pictures. Sage has hit that age were she was just not in the mood I guess. We were able to capture a few smiles but mostly serious ones! Thanks Meg's for putting up with us! You are great! Enjoy the picture's everyone!

Happy Halloween?! and Thanksgiving!

I am a little behind on my holiday's as you can obviously see! We had a fun Halloween this year. Scott and I dressed up as snorklers and Sage was our little goldfish! We went over to the Davis's house for a fun party with friends and had a great time! Sage was such a good little fish! Thanks Terra for the cute costume! For Thanksgiving this year we did something a little different! We went south to Kolob, UT to a beautiful 11 room cabin! We were with Scott's uncle and his kids. We had such a great time being with cousins! We did miss our parents and family though! We also spent some time in Hurricane and St. George. I got to see my brother Chris and his family. I am so dumb and didn't even get a picture of Allison! She was so fun and snuggly! Sage loved playing with Cayson and Jerin! I did snap a few pictures of them! If you didn't notice I chopped my hair off! It feels so good and healthy! I love it! Now we are home and getting ready for Christmas. It looks like we will be with my in laws throughout the rest of the year. There is no news on houses;( Christmas will be so fun with Sage this year! I can't wait!

Blog catch up! CAUTION this post contains hunting pictures!

I am so behind on my blog it is sad! I am a little bit out of my element and my regular routine since we are still at my in-laws house. It also seems like since my last post we have been sick with colds and the flu! We have been an awful mess! However we are still alive and kicking! As most of you know I married a "hunt'n fool"! So Scott has been gone a lot but he just got home from his last "away" hunt. Which means you could still spot him in our beautiful mountains here at home. He just can't get enough of it! Any way Sage and I are very happy to have Daddy home! She sure lights up when her "da da" is home. As for our house situation one of our offers was rejected. We still have two in the works. Every time Scott calls me during the day a part of me is hoping that he is calling with good news on one of them! I am hoping we will be in a house by Christmas. Who know's with the current bail out situation. We think the banks are being slow because of it.
So time for pictures! A couple of weeks ago we went on our annual Wyomming antalope hunt. It's actually a lot of fun! Fun because it it so funny to stay in the most random hotels in the middle of no where. The hotel we stayed in was no exception. It was called The Virginian. It is about 100 years old and I am pretty sure they haven't done any remodeling or redecorating! There was also a train that went right by it that sounded its horn about every hour. Not only that there was a bar that stayed open all night. The second night I was sure to take some tylonol pm! In the end we were just happy to be together! Here are some picure's of "my" antolope. Scott got one too but he was alone in the early morning and we didn't get very many good pictures.

Farmington Trip

Last week Sage and I loaded up the car and headed to Farmington to visit my parents. It was a great trip! We were able to spend a lot of time with my Mom! Usually she is at work but this time she was able to get 1 and a half days off! It was so fun to just hang out with my Mom. Sage had so much fun playing with her Grandparents and cracking them up! She sure is a busy girl! We were also able to play with cousins and visit my friend Sarah and her little girl Ivie. It was great to see our two girls together. It is funny because like I tower over Sarah, Sage towers over Ivie. What cuties! It was also great to see my Grandma Irvin who just recently had a stroke but is doing amazingly well. She is such a sweet lady with such determination! It was also neat because I went to church with my parents. I was able to see my old youth leaders and other people that I grew up with. It was strange because it does not feel like the same ward I grew up in but it was still nice to visit. I love being able to go home and get a good dose of love and support from my family! Thanks again Mom! I love you.

Baby Week!!!

Last week was a very exciting week for the Simons family and the McGee family! In the Simons family, Gabriel, Natalie's baby, was born on Monday, and Lily, Melinda's baby was born on Friday. In the McGee family, Allison Chris's baby was born on Thursday. I am sad because I don't have a picture of Allison yet! But I've heard that she is so beautiful!! It was so fun to see these sweet new babies and experience the miracle of birth! We are excited for Sage to have all of these new girl cousins! They will be great friends I am sure! Congrat's to all of you!

Happy day's at Grandma and Grandpa's

This was my attempt today at taking picture's of Sage. I have been so horrible at it I thought it was time to post some new one's. We are doing great at the Simons household. I have finally started to get my "groove" back. It's funny because I always wished that I could just sit and do nothing. Well that happend and it was fun for about a day! So now I am busy trying to keep myself busy and trying to stay away from all of the goodies in this house! Overall we are happy and surviving!

The past two weeks of moving

Don't you hate it when you want to take a picture and your camera is dead?! That has been the story of my life recently. So even though our life has taken some drastic changes I have no pictures to remember them. Sad hugh....but yes our life has drastically changed. The past two weeks have been crammed with packing boxes, cleaning, and repairing our old house. It took us two weeks to pack and 3 days to move from our the place that we called home. It all happened so quickly that none of it seemed to sink in. The realization hit me Saturday. I just left my friends, (my amazing friends), my home of 3 years, and my first baby, Sadie. It all seems so strange right now. I feel like I have a lump in my throat that hasn't quiet been released. And honestly and very surprisingly I miss my dog. We have talked about selling her for a while now. It just so happened that the people moving into our house are huge animal lovers and loved Sadie. So not only did I leave my empty house behind, I left my dog in it. I don't miss having to take care of her, I miss how sweet she was with Sage, how Sage would chase her around and giggle like crazy, and I miss how she honestly seemed to love being apart of our family. I just hope that her new family will take good care of her. I am trying to remember that dogs don't think like us. They don't have emotions like us. I am sure that she is fine...
As for the update on our new home, there isn't one. We are anxiously awaiting to hear back from our agents. Hopefully we will get into a house soon. In the mean time we are enjoying living with Scott's parents. They are so great. They love Sage to pieces and spoil her rotten! I am trying to help out as much as I can while I am living with them with cleaning and cooking. I am just trying not to be a burden at all. I will keep you updated on our housing situation. In the mean time we will be with the in laws!

Cinderella Birthday Party!

My friend Terra threw an amazing birthday party for her daughter Briar on Saturday. It was so cute and so much fun! Sage loved her adorable little Tutu that Terra made for all of the little princesses! Thanks for inviting us Terra! You are amazing!

Puppy Birthday Party!

Our good friends Matt and Amy had their son, Wesley's birthday party on friday. It was so much fun and so cute! Amy set up a grooming station where the kids put on puppy ears and a dog collar with their name on it. It was so adorable. It was great to see them and to celebrate Wesley's 1st birthday! Thanks you guys!

Fun Summer Days

I love summer! I can't believe that summer is coming to an end! We have had a great summer. Scott and Sage have started going on 4 wheeler rides in the evening. Sage loves it!! She just sits there with her eye's wide open taking it all in. The other day we had so much fun at the pool. Sage has so much fun running around in the water and siting in her floaty. I also could not resist taking a picture of her the other day with all of her curls on the top of her head. She is such a beauty.

Fun, family, and 10 days of camping

We spent last 10 days in the beautiful Colorado Mountains! We had a wonderful time at my mom's family reunion near Durango the first weekend. We camped on my uncle's property along with two of my brothers. It was so great to see the fam and catch up on their lives. We pulled out of there on Sunday morning and headed for a camping spot near Telluride. It was so beautiful!!!! I love the mountains, and I especially love these mountains! We camped with my four brother's and their families. I loved being with them and having our kids around each other. Sage had a blast!! It rained a lot so we didn't get to do a lot of 4 wheeling, hiking, or fishing. But is was great to be with good company. We also celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary! It was so much fun! We were very thankful that the weather let up just enough for us to enjoy it. It was quite the experience because we had to bring everyone up on 4 wheelers to our spot!! We then had my dad's family reunion at a lodge near there that was so much fun!!! It was a long 10 days but we did it! We are glad to be back home!!

Happy 4th of July!

For the Fourth of July this year we had such a fun day! We went out to lunch with Scott's parents at Good wood. Then the girls went to the mall and the boys went to Cabala's. (The girls did not want to spend all day at Cabala's!) Later that night we met up with our good friends Kevin and Allison for dinner and fireworks! We had so much fun. Sage was mesmerized by the lights. The only time she got upset was when they got too loud. Otherwise we cuddled on the blanket together. I couldn't help but think that this was what makes being a mommy so worth it! I love when she will lay and cuddle with me! It was a great day!
