Our next stop: Mesa Verda

Next we went on to Mesa Verde. It is an awesome place, we have been there before but I am glad we stopped one of these times we are not going to be able to climb up in those "houses." We climbed up in Balcony House and in Cliff Palace. Here are some pictures from that day.

A stop in Arches National Park

Nathan and I started out on a trip to Pagosa Springs Colorado. On our way we make a few stops. The first one was at Arches National Park so I could get a sticker and a stamp in my National Parks Passport Book. We bought it a few years ago, I wished we would of had it for the last 25 years and it would probably be about filled up by now.

Disney Land Cards

Kendell surprised Kelsey with a little trip to Disneyland for their 1st year wedding anniversary. He inlisted my help in making some little Disneyland cards to do a scavanger hunt with to surprise her. I made up the pattern and cut thses cut cards on my Silhoutte machine that I got for Christmas that I absoultly love!!! I think they turned out so cute...and of course they had a good time in Disneyland!

Afternoon Bowling

Landon came up for lunch and to say good bye for a few weeks, he has a job that is taking him out of town for a bit. So we went bowling just to spend a bit of time with him. Good thing we just do this for fun because we really stink at it!!!

We enjoyed spending the afternoon with him!!!

We had a night about Family History in R.S. last night and made these cute picture frames.

The picture is Nathan, Sheldon and his mother.

Quilt Project

I just finished my latest quilt project that I am doing with the local quilt shop. I love it!

Making Cards

Seara and I spent the weekend making cards and going to garage sales. Landon went on a Scout Camp- out and Nathan had to work the night shift do we figured we may as well do something fun together.

This was kid of a fun project. It is called a one page wonder. You use 1 12x12 page that is reversible and 1 12x12 plain page and you can make this many cards. They were a little plain but we dolled them up cute!

My Craft Room

My Craft room has been a few months in the making. I used to use the bedroom that Candice now claims as her room for my craft room. We had one little unfinished room in the basement that we never really had a plan for, so I decided to claim it as my craft room. It is a good thing that I have such a sweetheart as a husband because he was willing to make it all happen! He spent a lot of time making it into just what I wanted! Yes I know that he spoils me rotten...and I love him!

Nathan is mudding and Taping the room. 

Then he painted it.

He put down the flooring.

This was something new we had never done before.

It turned out really nice.

Kendell came and helped with the trim on day.

Nathan is putting together a little desk.

I found a chair at the D.I for $5.00 and I put the cute vinyl flowers on it.

I wanted a hutch built to put over my cube shelves I already have so he built it for me.

The garage was a work shop for a few days while he worked.

He is hanging it in my craft room.

Dave made my cupboards for me!!! Another guy had made them but they were not of very good quality and Dave took one look at them and said I could not hang them in my house and he took the doors off and took them home and rebuilt the cupboards for me! 

We had to enlist Landon and Kendell to help us get the cupboards all hung!

It is a good thing we have tough guys to help!!

Nathan built in a desk, doesn't that look like a fun place to craft? I need to get the rest of the handles on and a few little things to finish it up but I am so excited I wanted to blog about it!!!!

This is the hutch that I wanted over my cubes. He built it to just fit perfectly!
I will post more pictures later when I get all my stuff on them and the room decorated.
The room is hard to get a good picture off but I also have my sewing machine
in the other end of the room so it is my craft and sewing room.
