6th Grade Football

Kirby has been coaching Josh's 6th grade team this year they are doing awesome. They are undefeated in the league and have one game left.

Labor Day Weekend

We went to Pine Valley for Labor Day Weekend with all the Sommer family. It was so fun to have all of us together and enjoying each others company.

Lake Powell 2009

This summer we went to Lake Powell with family and friends and had the best time! Lake Powell is our favorite place to be.

These pictures are from the Schimbeck Family Reunion. We stayed at Echo campground by Panaca and had a lot of fun! On the 4th of July we went to Caliente and had fun watching the kids in the races, eating watermelon, and finding money while being sprayed by fire hoses. We also entered a family coed softball tournament that they had a lot of fun playing in and it was a lot of fun watching our girls get to play with their dad and uncles, aunts and cousins!

Jacey's All-Stars

Jacey made the Jr. League All-Star team this year. These pictures were taken against the Washington/Dixie team. She had some great hits that got the rest of the team going. She played center field and did awesome!

My mom and dad were getting rid of their pool so we decided to take it off their hands. We have ended up having a lot of fun in it this summer! (Thank heavens the camera wasn't out when I was in the pool).

Josh playing in the Majors

This was Josh's first year in the Majors. His hitting really improved towards the end of the year. He got to play third base, first base and outfield most of the year. This video is of his last hit of the season. Kirby was the assistant coach of Josh's team and Josh had a lot of fun this year.

Madison Playing Tee-Ball

Madison's first year of Tee-Ball has come to an end. These are pictures and video of her last game where she really seemed to finally get it, she also hit well. In one inning while she was playing the pitcher she got 6 of their 9 players out at first. One of the coaches from the other team told Kirby to tell Madison to take it easy cause she was giving their boys a complex. Way to go Madi!

Birthday Flowers!

Well for my birthday I was feeling a little down that morning so I decided I needed some retail therapy so I went to St. George with Jacey and Allie and we went shopping for the day and ate at Cafe Rio (one of my favorites) and when I came home these beautiful flowers were waiting for me. My sisters sent them to me along with a box of chocolates that were so good! Thank you Jenny, Cara and Jaime for sending these flowers to me, they made my day!

Turning 40!

I usually don't like to write much on my blog, but right now I'm in the mood to write. I wanted to write about how I'm freaking out! I turn 40 years old next week and my oldest is now officially a senior and will be graduating in a year! My youngest will be going to 1st grade next year and so for the first time I will have the house to myself during the day next school year. Josh and Jacey just keep growing and haven't stopped yet (Jacey is 5'7" now and Josh is 5'3") and are growing up too fast. I am just really feeling old. My mom was a grandma at 40! So if anybody can tell me a good way to cope with turning 40 and time is just moving too fast then I would love to hear it!

Madison

 

Madison had an exciting week. She lost her first tooth (bottom front tooth) and got to play her first T-ball game! She could hardly wait to play T-ball so she could be like her big sisters and brother. It was a lot of fun watching her and she loved it!

Easter 2009 at the Anderson's

 

We spent Easter at the Anderson's in Panaca. The kids had a lot of fun spending time with their cousins and Evan and Jo and their kids also joined us (even the Wiscombe's stopped by). We took Josh, Madi, Derrek, and Aidan to an Easter egg hunt in Caliente and Madison got 2 gold coins! We had lots of family around, lots of food and a lot of fun!

Dance Review

 

It was Allie's dance review last Friday, March 6th. The review turned out real nice and Jacey and Madison's dance groups also performed at it. Jacey just made the drill team so she and Allie will both be on the drill team together next year!

So You Think You Can Dance?

 
Allie and Jacey went to a dance clinic hosted by 3 of the dancers from "So You Think You Can Dance". They learned dances from Twitch, Katee, and Gev. They had a blast!
