Arlington A's Select Baseball

Will had his first tournament weekend with select baseball. I drug the bigs out with us for day 1 since we only had 2 games and both in the morning and even with the 6am wake up call they were troopers. We got destroyed by a team that ended up being the number 1 seed 19-1 but game 2 was better at 10-4. Will even tried pitching... didn't do well at all but it was interested coach let him try. Our coach and club is very much about letting them try all positions and training them in all positions. We've still got a ton of work to do but he did well getting an out. 

The next morning was against a team MUCH more our level and we lost only 10-12. The boys did so much better and although Will didn't get on base or make an out he said he still had fun. In the end that's all that matters but at some point he'll realize that his skills aren't quite the same as others his age and we shall see when that day comes what he says. For now we'll travel all over the metro and pay for extra training as much as we can due to the fact that he loves it so very much. Plus, he's super handsome in his little outfit! 

 

Will's Life Lately

Our little guy is still the super introvert who loves to build and do legos whenever he gets the chance. We still attend Home Depot kids workshops together even though I'm guessing those days are fleeting. I love taking him to the cages to hit balls and he's just the best little guy. 

Also he got braces! He's had his expander for a couple months now but he got his new brackets on for phase 1 of braces. He should have them for about a year.

Also, he's riding to school this year. I rode with him and his buddy for a week or so until they got familiar with the route but he's been wanting to ride for a while now.

Dance & Mahjong

Ady got her professional dance photos back and we just love them! 

We hosted a mahjong, margaritas and poker night for our friends who play and it was a blast! 

September Things

Will has been checking out the series Diary of a Wimpy Kid from the library each week and reads hem all up so fast!

We grabbed ice cream after practice with his buddy...

Ady had an updated allergy test done to see how she's progressing and what her new allergens are.

Ady and her buddy have been playing mahjong with us moms and they are loving it!

First Day of School

Love taking these each fall and then again in the spring! Hazel looks funny but she made the group shot as always! 

I organized a little meet up the first day so that the girls would have some buddies to walk into school with...

And this was the after school view. Day 1 he picks up a book from the library and reads the entire thing when he gets home from school!

Early August Recap

We ended the summer with a yes day! All the treats, the new Spiderman movie, special foods and together time!

Will has moved on to a select baseball club! He's part of a newly formed 9U team and we are excited to move on from rec baseball. It was getting too political and a vicous cycle to get out of rec. We are so excited for him to develop his game that he loves so much and Derek gets to still be a part of it by assisting the coaches. It will be a very different world but he's super excited (wears his new hats everyday) and we are too!

Ady is doing a duo this year and got to drive with her partner down to Abilene Texas for THE Channing Hayes to choreograph their dance!
