The Oldroyd Family

I mentioned before that I had Max's 1 year pics done by a good friend of mine that I've known forever.  She is super talented & I'm so lucky that we were in Utah for his 1st Birthday! Check these out... how am I supposed to choose which ones to print?!?! What a handsome, adorable, sweet, beautiful, angelic, {chocolatey} brown-eyed baby boy.  I'm such a lucky momma. 1.  Yesterday we got back from our 2011 Partridge Family Vaykay.  We went to Schlitterbahn Waterpark in New Braunfels, TX.  The weather wasn't ideal on Thursday but we had such a great time!  It was so fun having such a relaxing vacation with the fam. I took no pictures.  I was too busy stuffing my face & going down waterslides. 2.  We have had SUCH a busy Spring with visits from friends, family, a trip to Utah, then to the water park.  I don't know what the kids will do tomorrow when they realize that life is back to "normal."  Good thing the pool opens next week. And we have the Baker Boys (& Aunt Amy) coming in July! Yay Summer! 3.  Max is FINALLY getting around.  He scoots on his bum & it is HILARIOUS.  He is starting to get into things he shouldn't which is, of course, annoying, but I don't even care.  He is so much happier!  He does get up on his hands & knees & rock so I'm hoping the crawling...

I have said before how lucky I am to have had all 4 of my grandparents play very influential parts in my life.  I am so close to them & I treasure the time I spend with them.  I am so grateful that my children get to spend time with them as well.  We spend a couple of mornings with my Grandma Gines.  Every time I go to her house, I miss my Grandpa so much my heart feels like bursting.  But the pain is subsided by seeing how my children love their Grandma Great & how much she loves them.  I am grateful for our Eternal Family.  I love you Grandma!

I met Angela when I was 18 in a Math 110 class at Rick's College.  We had a crazy teacher & way more fun than anybody should have in a math class.  We spent a lot of time together over the next year or two & even got together after we were married (before kids) 5+ years ago.  We hadn't seen each other or talked much since then but she & her husband and new baby, Ryan, were in SLC the same time as us.  We got to meet up at Temple Square for about 30 min.  It was not nearly long enough!  I hope we get to see each other more someday!

We thought a nice reward for enduring tax season would be a trip to Utah & time at the cabin!  We were right!  It was a great trip & happened to coincide with Max's 1st Birthday & Easter.  It was so nice to be with my family for those 2 events!  I didn't get a lot of pictures except for at the cabin but that was the best part anyway! The cabin is in the middle of such a beautiful place.  We had snow, food, family, a fireplace, and games.  It was the best! The cabin is a fun place to relax & hang out! We got some good snow while we were there.  The kids weren't so sure about it but they LOVED snowmobiling with Daddy, Uncle Zack & Aunt Hilary, and they LOVED building a snowman! Maxwell turned ONE on Friday, April 22nd!  We waited until the next day to celebrate so Zack & Hilary could be with us.  Max was teething & a little cranky so didn't each much of the capcake.  But he sure looked cute with t...

My mom came for a visit in March.  It happened to coincide with a nasty virus that wiped the kids & I completely out.  I literally would not have survived without her!  As a thank you, we sent her back home with the virus. :(  SORRY GRANDMA!
