Holiday Break

 This past Christmas Eve the Smith family spent our afternoon visiting the Orem Rehab Center and its residents. We sang Christmas Carols and handed out holiday treats. Our main purpose was to visit Grandpa Great (Larry Smith).  We were blessed to remember the reason for the season.

Winter Fun with Dad

Emmy always looks peaceful when she sleeps so we decided to grab a shot. She is laying on her animal blanket from Sean's Aunt Tara.

 Emmy is now a great fan of everything the crinkles. As parents we have just found her new toys: food wrappers. She will have a blast Christmas morning.

Emmy bundled herself up (with the help of Sean) to feed the horses yesterday in the freezing snow. Check out her rosy cheeks and Sean's growing beard.

Laundry Rides

Emmy cannot yet get around successfully on her own so most of the time I have to transport her myself. Whether it is in my arms or in a carrier. she's with me 24/7. But on laundry days...it's the laundry hamper. Emmy was just ready for the clean clothes ride. She really enjoyed the warmth of the clothes. She slightly resembled a little kitty cat.

Sunday Morning Relaxation

Sean and Emmy decided to spend the 9 o'clock hour relaxing. Sean read while Emmy created nice 'ZZzzzz'.

Santa Run: Provo

Yesterday Anne and I were able to be part of the 4th Annual Santa Run in Provo.  We did not don the beards but did strut our best in the full Santa gear.

The race was a fun one. The best part though was sneaking in the "win" again Anne at the finish line. We are joking and saying it was Coulon Park Revenge.

Anne and I averaged 8:12 min/mi. My goal was to get under 30 minutes.

The Santa suits were way to hot and right when we finished, we took them off. They will be great Halloween costumes, though.

Booster Seat

Today was a great day for Emmy's core strengthening time. We purchased (with the great help of a Walmart gift card courtesy of Aunt Annette) a 3 stage booster seat. Emmy likes it  and was watching me while I worked on a little craft project.  Enjoy the pictures.

Thanksgiving Day

Today was Thanksgiving  and it was a great day.  Sean and I helped June get ready for the day and I was in charge of doing a Chocolate Mile High Pie.

After dinner and cleanup, the clan played several rounds of Bang. Emmy was Sean's partner and she seemed to know her stuff.

3 year anniversay

Yesterday was our 3 year anniversary. The coolest thing  was the Sean took me Country Dancing!

The Big Move

The day of the big move finally arrived. Thank goodness for my husband and brothers. I really wanted to rearrange the computer lab at C.S. Lewis Academy because it was not conducive for the teachers nor the students. We moved the large and bulky cubicles out and replaced them with space desks. Now each computer has its own station and the whole area is more open. I still need to buy a cord cover for the floor and one more computer plug for the projector. Here are the photos!

Vacation Time and a New Skirt

Sean starts his first day a Turkey Break today and I took full advantage of it. While Emmy was napping in Sean's arms I made a light green skirt for Emmy. I like skirts more than dresses because they stay in place. Dresses, at least at this age, tend to ride up and I find that I am spending more time pulling them down. I have lots of extra fabric around and decided to make some magic. Now the only question is to see if it fits! Say tuned.
