Easter

Easter weekend was a lot of fun. We had a big party at my Grandpa Wilson's house. There were so many people there. It snowed that morning, but my two cousins, Matt and Trevor shoveled the snow off the grass to we could have the egg hunt.

Because of the snow piles a little snowball fight happened after the egg hunt. We were about to take a picture, and my mom got hit. It was perfect timing. Rusty took the picture right as the snowball hit her.

My grandpa is selling his cows so there was no branding party in the morning, but Charlie branded these pieces of wood so we can all remember it!

The Easter bunny came and brought a few things to Claire and Lily. They were excited about new flip flops, stuffed animals, and chalk. Claire really wants to draw with the chalk, but it's been rainy.

Claire got some new underwear for Easter. She wanted to put a pair on that morning. She started to rub her bum and say how soft the underwear was. She kept rubbing it and thought it was hilarious.

My mom got Claire and Lily new Easter dresses. Claire called it her "Belle dress" since it is yellow. It is really hard to get a good picture of the two of them.

After church we went down to Jenn's house for a Mendenhall Easter party. Claire and Lily were lucky enough to have two egg hunts!

Winter 2016

Our winter has been a pretty good time. Here are some pictures from the last couple months. Sometimes Claire likes to help feed Lily. They both love it, but it can get messy. 

Claire started Primary this year. She loves it very much! She really likes going to class and singing time. Claire has great teachers. So far she's been able to give the prayer twice. She gets very excited when she has a reminder card that she gets to pray.

I like this picture of Lily sleeping because she has been teething lately and is sometimes so grouchy. But when I see this she looks so cute and peaceful. I'll try and remember the good times.

One day Rusty decided we should try and put Lily's hair in pigtails. They were so cute, but since then she got a hair cut so she can't have any pigtails anymore.

We celebrated Rusty and Jenn's birthday. They are birthday neighbors so they get to party together every year.

Many nights when it is time to get pajamas on, Claire and Lily will run away as soon as their clothes come off. They think it's so funny to run away, and many times they will lay on their blankets and pillows and laugh.

Lily really has been loving to wear hats lately. She usually likes to wear them backwards.

This longboard was left at our house when we moved in. The girls like to sit on it and ride down the patio in our backyard. This day all three squeezed on and rode together.

On February 26th we went to the Provo City Center Temple open house. It was very beautiful inside. It ended up being a lovely day. We had a pizza party afterwards at our house.

One morning Claire came out of her room wearing her "glass slippers" with her pajamas. I thought it was a nice look.

Claire and Lily both had similar spring dresses one Sunday so I had us go outside and take some pictures.

Christmas 2015

Christmas was a wonderful time! I think this was the first year that Claire really understood what was going on. She was very excited to put up the Christmas tree and to see the light on our house. She really loved Christmas music and learned a lot of songs. She was actually really good at knowing the words to quite a few Christmas songs. We tried to tell her we have Christmas to celebrate baby Jesus, and she seemed to get that, but she was really excited for Santa. Lily was her usually happy self and had no clue what was going on, but she did enjoy the ornaments on the Christmas tree. Most of them ended up higher on the tree and out of her reach. 

Claire was pleased with where she put all the ornaments.

On December 3rd we went downtown to see the Christmas lights with my family. We met at the City Creek food court and ate before we walked around and saw the lights.

Kristen found these great coats on sale and got one for each of us. Now we can match in the winter. I wear my coat all the time.

One day at my parents' house it was a little snowy so Claire, Lily, and Makenna all got to go play for a little bit. There wasn't a lot of snow, but they were entertained anyway. And they didn't last very long outside before they were too cold.

On Christmas Eve we had our annual party at my Grandpa Wilson's house. They little kids acted out the Nativity. They little girls were excited to be angels. 

Christmas morning was pretty exciting. Santa brought a sled, and Claire saw it when she was in the hallway before we went into the living room. She was thrilled and kept saying, "Santa brought me a sled!"

After we opened our presents at home we went to Rusty's parents' house for a Christmas party. Rusty found Lily lounging on the dog.

After that party we went to my parents' house. First there was a party with my mom's side of the family. Then after they left we opened presents with my family.

My parents got the three grandgirls matching pajamas. They were excited for them, but they would not pose for a picture.

One of the presents that was a big hit from my parents was more plastic food. Claire and Lily especially like the pizza and pizza cutter. We play with the fake food a lot, and the pizza is always first to come out of the food box.

On the day after Christmas we went sledding in my parents' front yard. My dad had a big hill from all the shoveling her did. It was just the right size for Claire, and she got to use the new sled.

Kristen came out in my mom's coat. I thought she was my mom for just a second!

Then Rusty went fast in a circle around the yard. Claire loved it!

Claire then wanted to pull Kristen in the sled. I had to help her out.

This picture is really funny because it looks like my dad is pushing Rusty down the hill like he's a little kid.

Claire made this Nativity scene all by herself using her stuffed animals. I guess something we taught her about the true meaning of Christmas did stick.

We had another great Christmas this year! I'm so glad we got to do a lot to celebrate and that we live by so many family members.
