New Year!! 2010

Welcome 2010!!! A New Year!

Bur first a recap of 2009...

Well its a new year and I haven't blogged since October so I better post an update! Lot has happened! Carle and I surprised our kids with a trip to Florida and 4 day cruise in the Bahamas! Very exciting! All they knew was that we were going to see my friend Stephanie in Florida and her family. But on the flight, the flight crew announced on the intercom first by asking my kids to raise their hands and then they told them that their parents were taking them to Disney World. And as the trip progressed we surprised them again by telling them they were going on a four day Disney cruise to the Bahamas! It was a family trip of a life time and we had a fantastic time. I'm so pleased that my kids got to get together with my dear friend Stephanie Reynolds. We have been friends since 7th Grade Junior High School and have continued to stay in touch and stay close. Playing Catch up!

Well This Summer has been filled with lots of things! I know I haven't written anything on my blog in a while but not because there is nothing going on mind you. It's been nothing but Painting, Softball and Surgery to date.

I didn't take my summer off like I usually do and painted nonstop jobs all summer to save for something big. My last one was a mural that I did of a actual boy who loves the Sounders. So I had to do a action shot of him in the uniform on his bedroom wall. I had done nothing like it before. IT actually looks better in person but here are the pictures. You see more of the depth when you see it for real.

The dogs and cat are always up to mischief, Cricket her in the picture of Dexter is one third his size and the dogs love Dexter. Dexter likes them as well and they all love to roll and play with each other. It's the most interesting combo I have seen in a long time. Dexter is such a good natured cat to let them pull at his ears and play with him.

Here I am with my girlfriends after my throat surgery! Not a very flattering picture of me but it shows how dear my Girlfriends are to me. If Tari Still lived next door she would of been right there as well. I have great friend support!

The reason for my surgery was to help me sleep. I had sleep apnea and wasn't sleeping.

After this though I am sleeping like a baby! It is really nice to finally get rest. Hopefully all my other health problems will go away as well.

My throat surgery consisted of Removal of skin in the back of the throat and removal of the uvia and cauterizing the skin to tighten up the pallet and then removal of tonsils and Sinus surgery to repair a deviated septum. I kid you not! It is the worst kind of surgery. Very painful for over two weeks. Not being able to talk or eat for that long. Lost 15 lbs so that's good! That will help come this Nov.

Emily Played her last Tournament to day! The fugitives came in 2nd. Lost by one game the State Championships! She pitched almost every game this weekend and blew them away!! She got some great hits in this weekend. She is an amazing athelete and Of course she's a amazing Fast pitch pitcher. Hope to see her getting thru College doing that! She loves it! We were so fortunate to take the kids to the Greatest Show on earth! They had the time of their lives! It was so cool

It's been a great summer but I think it will be the last one I work painting thru! I missed doing stuff with my kids all summer! So we will make up for it soon!!

Now with fall here the kids are in school and routine has begun and now I'm finally well enough to keep track of what my kids are doing or not doing!

Hopfully this catches me up to where I am now!

River Days!!

Got to try everything this week to cool off! Why not the local Cedar River! WOW was this refreshing! IT cooled us down to the core and it was so fun as well!

Record Breaking Weather!!

And we are not talking about Snow fall record but scorching Sun temperatures!!

Okay! I'm done! Well done! Seattle broke the temperature record for 103 at Sea Tac!!! Renton was 105. I'm still waiting to find out the official temp here in Cov/Maple Valley! My car external temp read 107 at 3:30 this afternoon, but it averaged above 105 all day!

Edit : My friend just told me it was offical , Kent was 107 and we are right next to kent. i didn't want to completly trust my cars temperture gadge. That 107 just sounded too crazy.

It was 83 at 8 am this morning so you knew we were going to have a scorching day! Tomorrow is suppose to be slightly lower still high 90's like 98 to 100! tonight is expected to not get lower than 70. That is crazy talk!

My Family stayed in air conditioning most of the day! It's really sad to have such a beautiful day but to be paralyzed by the weather by having to stay in side to be comfortable. I'm definitely a NW Girl thru and thru! This is not my kind of weather! 80's is more like it. It's supposed cool down to the 80's next week. I can then start my job I postponed because of the heat!

We stopped in on Grandpa Lee and Grandma Elsie and brought them a smoothie and a jug of "simply real Lemonade" to help them beat the heat. Later that day they Email us to let us know that we had forgotten the Vodka!! Real jokesters they are!! (Knew I had forgotten something :))

Here we are frying a egg on the street! Hmmmm Almost but not quite! The Big Plunge in Lake Morton!! Here we are making the best of it!

Susie Kelly and I are making the best of the sun! Almost Makes you forget how hot it really is!



I think I actually had you all feeling sorry for us until those last few pictures! Hey we try and make the best of things! Living in Hyades is not all that fun so you improvise a lot!





This week will be a Lk Morton week I'm expecting! I'm hoping to get out there again tomorrow with my friend Susie and float around the lake! It really helps you forget about the heat!!

Megan's Party!

This weekend was Megan's H's birthday! Megan was born just two days after Jared and Nathan and they are all three 10 years old this week! There was a lot going on this time 10 years ago for all of us!

But today we celebrated Magan's birthday with a huge family get together and lots of friends!
