Easter

The night before Easter we went bowling with Cloyd's sister Cindy and her family. It was so much fun. James even wanted to try his luck at bowling. It was fun to watch him roll the ball of the thing

The next morning was Easter. We put little dried fruit in easter egg balls and then put them all over the floor and on some toys for James to find when he woke up. He did pretty good at picking up the balls and putting them in his basket. It didn't take him very long to figure out how to open them up either. Here are a few pictures.

James' 1st Hair Cut!!!

OK, I finally did it. I cut his hair. Not that I was trying not to cut his hair I just didn't know who to have cut it, and did I mention I am a huge procrastinator.

So the other day I was at a family get together when my sister in law said that his hair looked like a "comb over". Yikes!! I will not have that on my son. (I was actually thinking that the other day to be honest)

Today Cloyd and I were both home and we remembered that my sister-in-law, Shauna, had a sister who cuts hair. We decided to try her out, and she did an amazing job. Even with James moving the whole time it turned out great, I couldn't have asked for a better hair cut.
Way, way, way cute.

Let's Go Golfing

I was so excited a couple of weeks a go when the sun came out and it was finally starting to become warm again. In fact we were so excited that we decided to go GOLFING!!

Golfing is a sport that Cloyd loves, and when we were married I never wanted to be the wife left behind on Saturdays while my husband spent his day at the golf course, especially when we were old and retired. So, I decided that I was going to learn how to golf. I have to say I'm not that bad. Don't get me wrong I'm not that great either but I can hold my own pretty good.

I was kind of hesitant to go golfing with James, but since we didn't really want to get a babysitter we decided to take him. He LOVED it! I can't believe how great he was and I think he had a lot of fun being outside.

We just took turns holding him until we got to the green and then we would let him down and he would play with the clubs or the flag. By the third or fourth hole he was wanting to put the flag back after we putted. By the last few holes he would take our balls sitting on the green and put them in the hole for us. Very observant little boy. I think it may be time to get him his own set of play clubs.

I LOVE WARM Weather

Today was the warmest day we have seen is many many months. I couldn't waste such a great day inside. So, James and I went for a walk. I finally got to use his new car that he got from Grandma and Grandpa Jones.
We left a hour before Cloyd got off work and decided that if we planned just right we would get to Auto Zone just as he was getting off. Well, it definitely wasn't as far as I was thinking, I thought it would take me a little longer to walk 1 1/2 miles. It didn't. So, we stopped at the scrub shop and then Arby's to eat lunch.
James was in heaven. He did little car sounds most of the way there. We were starting off and I could here him go "Vrooom, Vroom, Vrooom" He loved to beeping the horn and push the little pretend buttons on the inside. When I would stop or wasn't going fast enough he would bounce back and forth trying to get me to go. Smart. About half way there he discovered that he could drag his feet and wouldn't stop. Frustrating. By the time we got to Auto Zone his socks were black and had holes. Oh, boy there goes another pair of socks. Now only if I can get him to keep his shoes on. On thing at a time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (part 2)

A few days after his birthday we went to Kanab to celebrate with our family down there. He had grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncle, cousins, and even a great aunt. Thank-you for all those that were able to come and support James during this special day. It was such a great time.

James got a big Tonka truck from his Grandma and Grandpa Roundy. He pushes it everywere and especially loves to ride in it.

Grandma and Granpa Jones got him a ride and push car. He has a great time. It is fun to push him aroun and watch him giggle.

James loves cake. Who can resist that face.

I AM ONE! (part 1)

James turned 1 January 28th 2009. To celebrate we had one birthday party in northern utah and one in southern utah so all our family could be apart of such a special day.

Thank-you Sam and Shauna for letting us have the party in your home and for making not just one birthday cake but two very special birthday cakes. I almost hated eating them they were so awesome. Also thank you for all those that came and for the presents that were given. James is such a loved little boy.

When he goes to his Uncle Sam's and Aunt Shauna's he loves to play the drums from Rock Band. It is perfect height for him. He also loves to play their piano.
