It's a Girl!!!

We are so excited.  We found out Tuesday we are going to have a sweet baby girl.  We couldn't be more excited.  I am happy because I am also starting to feel better.

Pregnancy at 12 weeks

Hi everyone this is Ryan.  I figure I will give an update on how Jess and the baby are doing.  The last 6 weeks have been very difficult for her.  She has continually thrown up between 2 to 8 times a day.  We have had to go to the ER 2 times so far to get her hydrated because it was so bad.  We have home health now so I am helping her with IV's twice a day to give her 2 liters of liquids.  Unfortunately this hasn't helped with the throwing up and nausea but at least she is hydrated.  She has not been able to go to work this whole time either and yesterday the doctor told us he would prefer her not going for a while.  We went to the maternal fetal medicine department and they said she has hyperemesis.  Hopefully in the next week or two she can start doing better.  If not the doctor will decide if Jess will need a feeding tube.

The baby is doing fine at this point and we have had 4 ultrasounds so we have a decent photo album already ;)

Anyway that is the update.

Paris Part 1

Okay, you might think you are just seeing things but I am actually putting up a post on my blog! Really it is true, I think it has been two years or maybe more...I guess it is about time. Recently Ryan and I went to Paris and London. My parents went with us to Paris and we had a great time. Ryan and I then went on to London. Here are some pictures in case you are interested.

This is Chateau De Fountain Bleu.  This was a Chateau of one of the kings.  We walked around this "town" it was really cute.  They had cute little shops and yummy pastry and chocolate shops.

This is Mont St Michel which is a Monestery built on a little island.  When the tide is low you can drive right up to the Monestary but during high tide the causeway disappears turning it into an island.  I think we all thought this was really impressive.

These are pictures of Normandy.  We went to Omaha beach and the American Cemetary.  This was one of my favorite places on our trip.  It is hard to imagine what happened here.  The cemetary was so nice and peaceful.  There are 9000 American soldiers buried here.  The beach was beautiful.  It was hard to imagine anyone storming that beach you would have had no cover, there are still bunkers left in the hillside.

Moab 1/2 Marathon

I know it has been a while since I have updated this blog, I am so bad at remembering. This last weekend we went to Moab so Ryan could run in the half marathon. My whole family went with us and we had a lot of fun. Ryan did a really good job in the race, he placed 246th out of 2899 runners. We were also able to do some hiking and get some fresh air. I am so glad winter is just about over.

I was going to add a slideshow of pictures but I am not sure how.

Ashley and I decided to make valentine cupcakes tonight. We made them from scratch, what a pain. The frosting turned out so disgusting...oh well. Next time, we will have to enlist help from Betty Crocker.
