Rainbow Dash Pony Party

Lexi is 4

She told me this past summer that she wanted a Rainbow Dash My Little Pony Party. She really planned ahead :)

Rainbow Dash; the theme of the party.

I tried to make things simple this time (last years Tinkerbell cake took way to long to make). So I just made a rainbow (for Rainbow Dash) cake.

Birthday Morning! She also planned ahead on what gift she wanted. She also told me this past summer that she wanted a ladybug pillow pet.

This was the first time she had a FRIEND party! I think I worry about things too much because I stressed over what games to play and how to keep all her friends entertained and under control. We played three games (forgot to put someone on camera duty for games), and they colored Rainbow Dash pictures while waiting for all the friends to arrive.

I worried over nothing, the kids were very well behaved and enjoyed themselves.

Grandmas!! She separates them by calling my mom "Grandma with the blue truck" and Rhett's mom, "Grandma with the red car."

Marissa is one year old

Happy Birthday to my little Marissa! OK so her birthday was a week ago, but we seem to have a computer from the stone ages and every time I tried to upload pictures it freezes up on me. For some reason it's working today, so here is a long post of b-day pics starting in the morning.

I decided to just do cupcakes and ice cream instead of a cake.
I didn't realize how long decorating cup cakes can take.

Marissa's cake was really fun to make. I hope you can tell it's a flower.

Preschool Christmas program

Santa never came to any of my school programs :) Lexi was being a little shy.

All the kids looked so cute singing Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.

S-A-N-T-A and Santa was his name-o.

"Do you know the Apple Man?" I always thought is was the Muffin Man. At any rate Apple or Muffin this was one of two songs she knew really well. Santa was his name-o was the other she knew well.

11 Months old

Fun with big sister! Lexi likes to have Marissa either ride her like a horse or give shoulder rides.

Finally got a hold of the flash light. Lexi doesn't like to let her play with it, so Marissa was quite pleased when she got to play with it.

Taken on the actual day she turned 11 months.

Side note: I have late crawler kids, Marissa started crawling in the evening of the day she turned 11 months. Lexi did the same exact thing even down to the time of day she started crawling, the evening of the day she turned 11 months. Weird huh?

We had a huge wind storm, that pile isn't even all the leaves in the yard.

A Witch and a Butterfly

We got a cookie set from one of my visiting teachers, it came with pumpkin shaped sugar cookies...Orange frosting...

and sprinkles.

Lexi had tons of fun decorating, and even more fun eating them.

Here's out little witch and butterfly headed out to trick-or-treat.

Luckily the huge wind and hail storm stopped so we could go out!

I didn't get very good pictures before trick-or-treating (weather), so I dressed up the girls a few days later when it was back in the 60's. I'm sure my neighbor's were laughing at me.

The girls were having fun running and jumping in the leaves (except Marissa of course, she enjoyed watching). As soon as I got the camera out, the smiles disappeared.
