Miss Rexburg, Miss Upper Valley

The Evans' girls went out to another pageant this weekend--Miss Rexburg and Miss Upper Valley. It was a two-for-one pageant, not sure how that really works, but they gave out two crowns one for Miss Rexburg and one for Miss Upper Valley. This pageant was actually a lot of fun. The talent was the most interesting they had a wide variety from the usual singing to drums and a girl even beat boxed with her flute.... The girl that played the drums won Miss Rexburg, she had a cute personality so that was nice and Miss Upper Valley went to a girl who danced, she was one of my picks to win, so it was nice to get it half right. (each pageant we judge them ourselves and take notes on who we think will win, so far I'm 1:3) These two girls get to go to Boise for the title Miss Idaho, we'll see how the do. I think the next pageant is another Jr. Miss, I'll keep you posted. The bummer of the evening is when I got home and found Karter with a fever and not feeling that great. We battled his fever all weekend (poor guy) and I took him in on Monday thinking it was his ears, but it was his throat, so he's on antibiotics. I'm sick of sickness!!! I feel so bad for him, because he just got over a cold and now this and to top it off, this morning his cold seems to be back, oh well I guess you win some and you lose some. Hurry summer and chase the sickness away!!!!

Pizzzzzaa

This is the pizza that Karter made, he really enjoyed squishing down the crust and licking the sauce off of his fingers. Pizza is his favorite and I love how emphasises the z's and the a when he says it. It's more like Pizzzzzaa.

Pumpkins and Moons

Karter loves to read, especially books with moons or pumpkins. I'm not sure why he has such a love for pumpkins and moon. He should be set for Halloween this year :) It's so cute how excited he gets when he sees the moon at night (especially a full moon), he squeals out the window and says over and over moon,moon. It's funny and makes me appreciate the little things.

Sneakin' Upstairs

Karter loves to climb, especially the stairs! His smile shows, he knows he not supposed to go up the stairs, but he just can't help himself. He loves a little mischief!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day, and Anniversary Jamie!! I like the challenge of wearing green on St.Patrick's Day. Every year I seem to have worn all my green the days before St. Paddy's day, so I run out of options, this year I just wore a green sticker :) It works, I didn't get pinched once today. I'm finally able to get on-line! It's funny how things fall out of order so quickly when you are sick. I've caught up on my "to do" list so I can get back to a little bit more fun. I've been busy with love and logic classes. I thought they would be fun and interesting and you can't go wrong with free parenting classes. I've learned a lot so far, and I hope to be able to put the new knowledge to work. I'm loving the weather changes and can't wait for spring. The beginning of spring also means pageant time. The girls in my family love a good pageant, so far we have been to Madison's Jr. Miss and will be at Miss Rexburg on Saturday. Madison's Jr. Miss was great and there were 31 girls, it was two nights of fun. I'm also going to the Home and Family classes held at the college, so it should be a busy, but fun weekend. My sister Julie and her friends went to the Madison Valentine's Dance. They danced the night away and had so much fun. Our little Julie is growing up right before our eyes. I can't believe that she is almost 17. Man it makes me feel old! Where did the time go?

SnowFest was SNOW much fun this year!
The Polar Bear swim, snow sculptures and the sleigh ride were some of our favorite things to do.

Karter's Drama of the Snow Pants

During...
As soon as he got outside he was very happy and was oohing and ahhing over the snow and all of the sites outside. He walked around in the snow and even made his own version of a snow angel (Face plant in the snow left the imprint of the monkey off of his hat, and an imprint of his nose). I was going to get a pic of it, because it was pretty funny, but never got back outside before the next snow storm hit.

After....
Just as it had started, when we had to go in he cried and he pouted. Major Meltdown!!! I finally got him to cool off enough to get a cute pic of him in his blue snow pants. What a funny day!!!

Blowing Kisses

Got Milk? Got Teeth?

Karter is sporting his milk mustache and his new set of teeth. He seems to have gotten most of them at once--lower and upper. He sure likes to make me laugh during breakfast. His favorite thing to do is hunt through the Raisin Bran flakes, just to find the raisins--I guess it's his version of a treasure hunt :)

Here Kitty Kitty

Karter loves animals--especially cats. He enjoys carrying his beanie cat by its tail so he can hear the nose and eyes tap on the kitchen floor. Today he gave his cat a ride on the school bus, it was hard not to laugh when he tried to join it and ride on top. He is all boy!

Out Like a Light

This is Karter after a day full of fun. We had to run evening errands and I was hoping he wouldn't fall asleep until we got home, but he didn't make it. Joe brought him in from the car and he stayed passed out, even when we put him on the couch--which made for a funny photo. Needless to say, he slept well that night!

New ears, New words

Since Karter's ear surgery he has started to say new words. He likes saying yes, bye dad, temple and drink. He also likes to sing-- Row Row Row Your Boat is his new favorite. At this time all of his teeth are trying to come in, so it has been a struggle. Hopefully they will come in quickly, so it can relieve some of his pain {and mine too :)}.

Finally caught up!

Finally I'm caught up! Took for what seems like forever, but I think it was worth it. Had a little trouble with photo placement, but I'm still learning. Happy Blogging!

Just Engaged!!!

Craig and Iris just got engaged!!! Congrats Craig!!! It will be a fun spring.

Not a Fan!

Joe and I were so excited to give this to him on Christmas Day. As you can see, he wasn't as excited as we were. Sad he still won't ride it :(
