Beberapa tahun lalu, saya lebih sering mendengar istilah web site dibanding blog. Istilah blog baru saya kenal kemudian. Makin hari, perbedaan antara blog dan website pun banyak dibahas. Belakangan malah kelihatannya blog justru lebih diminati orang dibanding Website. Tapi sayangnya dari dulu sampai sekarang jika diminta untuk menjelaskan apakah itu website dan apakah itu blog, dapat dipastikan saya cuma bisa garuk-garuk kepala. Bahkan sampai tempo hari, setelah membuat artikel tentang “Blogging tes, seblogger apakah kita ?”, jika saja saat itu ada yang iseng bertanya di kotak komentar yang nadanya kurang lebih seperti ini : “Ente nulis macem macem tentang blogging, tau gak apa itu blog? Coba Jelasin! ”. Saya pasti akan langsung jawab dengan tegas : “Ya jelas tau dong blog itu apa, ravatar (maunya). com ini kan blog dan saya lho yang buat”. “Tapi kalau untuk jelasin apa itu blog, ntar dulu ya he he he”. Nah, sebelum keburu ada yang melontarkan pertanyaan bernuansa ‘simple tapi nyelekit’ seperti itu, saya coba back to basic membuat bahan diskusi bersama tentang istilah blog dan website. Makhluk apa sih mereka ?
