Grandma's Funeral

Grandma's funeral was really good. We were able to ditch Thyse with a sitter in the nursery at the church. Renny did an excellent job with giving her life history. Tyson shared memories from his brothers and sister.

Christmas 2007

Christmas was a lot busier than usual this year. On Thursday, December 20, Marci found out that her 96 year old grandmother was sick and would likely not make it another 48 hours. Marci's parents, Renny and Ann, were planning on coming up to Utah to spend Christmas day with us, but this caused a change in plans. We were also thinking about going down to Arizona right away so we could see grandma. In the end we decided to stay in Utah until Christmas day, so our kids could have a "normal" Christmas. We then would fly down to Arizona on Christmas day. Grandma died on Saturday December 22, so instead of going down for vacation we were going down for a funeral.
We did our usual Christmas Eve with the Simons side at our house. We had my parents spend the night so they could see our kids open their presents in the morning as well as give us a ride to airport in the morning.
Christmas was full of toys this year.

Soccer

Maili started her first season of soccer. She gets better and better each week. Bryton is also getting better as he comes to each of Maili's practices and games and kicks the ball around. Even Thyse is learning how to dribble the ball and say "Go Go Go!"

New haircut

I chopped off my hair today.

Labor Day in Lake Tahoe

We spent the weekend in Lake Tahoe. We had a blast swimming, riding bikes, and shopping. Heavenly had a big sale where I was able to pick up some skiis and snow boots. Grandma and Grandpa Simons joined us Saturday night.

Bryton starts preschool

Bryton started preschool today. He loves being able to learn new things.

Thyse is starting to walk

Thyse has been a little slow to walk as compared to Maili and Bryton. I think the problem is he won't walk to us but he will walk in the other direction towards something else that is more exciting. Today he took off from the stairs to the chair with know one around. When we tried to get him to practice with us he took off in the other direction, walking a couple steps towards a toy.
Crazy kid.

Maili starts Kindergarten

Maili started kindergarten today. Her teacher is Mrs. Zeally. She is really excited to make new friends.
