Reference Elder Burch

Tere was a lovely flower pot that was sent for Gma's Services from the Thurman & Tessie Burch family.  This card was with the flowers.

In Gma's Obit/Life Sketch, it referenced Tessie and Emma meeting the Missionaries.

Tessie married Elder (Thurman) Burch and eventually Emma married Elder (Parley) Dutson.

Thanks to the Burch family for remembering Emma.

And now the information everyone has been waiting for --- I'd call it a funeral for Mom, but it will only be a viewing and Graveside Service. WEDNESDAY, AUG 16th. Viewing at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St., Logan, UT at 10:30-11:30 am. Graveside Service at Logan Cemetery, about 850 North 1200 East (South Entry Gate) at Noon. Thanks to all who have expressed condolences -- and even those who have though it. Our family sends you thanks...

Thanks, Uncle Duane, for the beautiful email about her last day.  I'm so sorry you had to bear the brunt of the weight for her care and passing but I am ever so grateful that you were there.  Grandma had the biggest heart and was so loving and forgiving and accepted us all.  She will always be close in our hearts.  She lived a full life!  I hope there is a joyous reunion and I wonder what it is like to see her Savior.  Amazing that Grandpa and her passed away August 9 and 10.  Let us know when the funeral is.

Some of the things we talked about:

* It's OK for her to go HOME.  Now that we have her approved for Medicaid, she can stay as long as she wants, but it's OK for her to go.

* She had been nauseated most of the day,  I told her that the nausea was just a part of her passing.  They had given her a pill (Zofran) to help with it, but that perhaps the nausea was part of the body ridding itself of un-needed 'stuff'.  ...that she would continue to have such problems, even worsening, until she let go and crossed over.  If she was anything like me, and I *hate* vomiting, I would consider passing on rather dealing with extended nausea.

* I told her that my health wasn't doing that well, that I still might pass away before her.  With a smile she said, well, why don't we both go together?  I responded that she would have her sweetie, but who would I have?  I could see the cogs turning as she pondered that.  At last she mentioned something about she could see that it might be a problem for me...   She is such a loving person and she wants *all* of her loved ones near her.   At last she CAN be near us all -- in our dreams, in our quiet contemplative moments.

She was the last of her generation/siblings to cross over.  I hope there is a mighty family reunion going on now.  She and I joked, on occasion, that 'they' might be asking her what took her so long to come join them?

Trivia:

* She had just turned 94 on July 14th.

* Her 'Sweetie' (Parley) passed away on August 10th.

Emma, Mom, Gma D has finally gone home.

According to the nurse I talked to, she passed away August 9, 2017 @ 10:45 PM.

I stopped in the afternoon to see Gma.  She was not doing well...  She's been nauseated most of the day.  She really didn't look well when I arrived, but she's perked up a little and they have been giving her some Zofran to help her.

She told me she was going to call me to tell me that she wasn't feeling well, but I beat her to it and got here before she could call.

They gave her another dose of Zofran a few minutes ago and she seems to be resting well now.  She is resting in her bed... The next question is, will she feel like going to dinner?
