You know you haven't posted in a while when you can't remember your password... But after several tries I got in.  Now we will see if this stupid program has gotten any easier to work in the past year....

one minute later and I've already crashed internet explorer...
So here is a brief update on the weeds.
They all just get bigger and bigger and bigger...
James is now 16 1/2.  He drives (so watch out people).

James won second place in high school keyboard at the Utah chapter of PAS. 

 

He took his girlie friend to Prom last week.  That was his first high school dance (even though he is 2/3 his way through his Junior year).

 

This is the only picture I could find of Seth.  Seth is a mega talented spunky kid. He will be in high school next year.  One of these days he will be getting his learners permit, but I am not looking forward to trying to teach another kid how to drive. 

Emmy is in 8th grade and she is a hard working student.  She is constantly crafting and keeps herself busy with hobbies. 
 

 

Ashlee is almost done with her sixth grade year.  She talked me into getting her a dog.  Big mistake.  She named it Shilo.  I call it MONSTER.  Very bad dog! Ashlee on the other hand is a pretty good kid.  Now if she was just a little better about dog training life would be great.

I'm pretty much nonresponsive and living in my own little world of nursing books.  Summer is so close and I am just so ready for a nice break! 

 

I couldn't find a picture of Nate, just a picture that Nate took. He also keeps himself busy with work, scouts, and friends. 

 

 

So what have I learned since the last time I blogged???  Hmmm... Well I learned that your phone is not a good storage spot for your chewed gum.  Bad things happen when it rings.

I learned that when your husband wants to take your pretty new car to Vegas for the weekend... you should say NO.

I learned that my husband is pretty good at keeping secrets when he wants to. Yeah... he is in a little bit of trouble today.

I learned that no matter how much you study... it is never enough, so you might as well limit it to as small a time as possible.

I learned that when you make rules for teenagers you are just giving them something to do.

I learned that Roo Roo is the bestest most awesomest doggie ever, even if he is dang ugly without hair.

I could go on but... I guess I'll see you in another year.

Router Roo What Happened to You?

So as I mentioned in my last post little Router went and stayed with my mom while we went on vacation.  He had a BLAST.... but when we picked him up it was hard to think he was the same little buddy we dropped off.

And here is what he looked like when we picked him up.

Jay Facebooked a picture saying "Have you seen your dog lately?" to the kids.  My boys laughed for a good three days and my girls cried.  Router just thinks he is the same old pup....And he is, minus a lot of hair.  I did tell my mom she could shave him, and I am not mad at her... but I have to admit it was a bit shocking. That is quite a shave. LOL

Day 7, 8, 9, & 10

On Day 7 we took what was suppose to be a 4 hour drive to Lake Stevens, but about 3 minutes into the trip we took a wrong turn which was a much prettier drive, but it added a couple hours onto the commute.  Then once we even got close to any of the bigger cities traffic would just about stop.  TRAFFIC is HORRIBLE in Washington! We ended up being bad guests and arriving quite late to Katherine's.  

Once there the kids were excited to see their aunts.  Rebecca was spending the weekend at Katherine's to hang out with us.

On Day 8 we went into Seattle.  Traffic wasn't anything like it had been the day before, thank goodness!  Rebecca had our trip planned out for us and she did a great job getting us where we needed to go in just the right amount of time.  We started of by the underground tour to get our tickets.  Then we took the bus to Pikes Market.

 Pike's Market was pretty awesome!

 We got doughnuts.  Yummy!!!! Did someone one say picture?

 While Emmy Rode the Pig James just paid the pig.

 Ohhh so many flowers!  They were beautiful!!

Rebecca felt we had to go to the gum wall.  She thought it was cool.

I didn't agree.  YUCK!  Not many things gross me out... but the gum wall was just gross.

 Katherine treated us out to lunch.  Nate misbehaved.

Rebecca treated us to the arcade.  And then we paid to go and see rubble and smell mildew.  Someone has to be banking high and mighty off the Underground Tour in Seattle.

 After the tour we got in our car and drove to an Ice Cream shop that had some pretty interesting flavors of Ice Cream.  Emmy and I shared Strawberry.  How original.  Then we walked to the park for some photo shots of the city.

 Ashlee was upset by now.  We got a text on our way to the park that was quite upsetting for her.  It seems that the puppy we dropped off at my moms looking adorable... was... well you'll see in the next post!

Last but not least we went to the Locks.  There was a small botanical garden there also.

The locks ended up being pretty cool.  We saw a sea lion and a little duck that had lost his mother.... and lots and lots of fish.

All in all Seattle was impressive.  It was a fun filled day!!!

Day 8 was spent at Katherine's chilling.  The kids had a bit of a bake off for dessert.  We spent most of the day watching the Food Network and talking.  We also had a tour of the Air Park that Katherine lives at.  It was a lot of fun.
Day 9 was our first day of driving back.  We ran into problems almost immediately, but we did make it to Boise the first day.
Day 10 was some more problems including a blow out of one of the brand new tires.  We made it home safe... and that is what matters the mostest!  All in all we had a good trip.  Lots and lots of fun!
