Mason at 6 months!!!

Today Mason had his 6 month check up. I was really excited to take him and see how much he has grown. In my eyes he had grown a ton. Well, I guess my eyes are wrong. He weighed in at a whopping 12.4 lbs!!! He had only gained about 1 1/2 lbs in 2 months!! He is still growing, but just slowly. He is in the o.o7%!! WHAAAOOOOOO!!! He is growing at almost the exactly same rate Landon did, now look at him. He's a monster!!

Mason is such a good baby, by far my best yet! He still sleeps about 10 hours at night. On lucky nights he sleeps 12, but that is VERY far and in between. He is so easy to smile and laugh. Gavin and Landon absolutely adore him. They love to play with him and are really good help. When Mason is crying Landon will try and give Mason his Binky, but when that doesn't work, Landon starts worrying a little and needs help. He isn't rolling over quite yet. He arm just won't seem to get out of the way!! We love him!!

Easter

We headed down to Monroe for Easter this year. Most of the family was there, so there was lots of fun. The kids colored eggs using whisks which worked really well. You just put the egg inside the whisk then dunk it. You got to make sure and use the big whisk, the little ones tend to be a little to tight and sometimes cracked the eggs, but they made cool looking eggs!

I ALWAYS get way too much candy. This year I managed to restrain myself. This is what the Easter Bunny brought for Gavin and Landon. He also brought them bikes, which they got early!!

Saturday, we were going to go to Castle Rock and have the egg hunt, but since the weather had been nothing but rain, we decided to just have it in the backyard. There were over 100 eggs for 9 kids!! They all did very well. Some of the eggs had special stars on them. Depending on the color of the star, they got a special prize........

Landon didn't make out quite so well, he won a quarter. Luckily, they don't care. They just know they won money to put in their piggy banks!!!


They 'big' boys also got to have their own twist on a Easter hunt. They got to hunt for deer and elk horns their dad hid around the backyard! They love it, some of them were actually really hard to spot. Here are Jeff's find. Can you find them?!

Grandma gave each of the kids little presents too. Gavin and Landon each got an airplane and a little windmill. When we got home they stuck the windmills in the front yard and just love to sit and watch them spin.

After church on Sunday we tried getting a picture of them in their new 'rainbow' clothes. That is was Landon calls them. He had been waiting for weeks to get to wear his rainbow church clothes. This was the best we could do, but I think it turned out pretty good! They are just toooooo cute!!

Conference Weekend

Mason and his nice hairline! Gavin and Landon slept more on the tummy's or sides, so they weren't as lucky to wear away their hair on the back of their heads. Mason looks silly, but now his hair is getting lighter so it isn't quite as noticeable anymore.

Beau had his yearly Henry Mountain trips with his family, and he made out very well.

Gavin and Landon are each holding antlers that would have possibly scored over 200 inches had he found both sides. Landon can't wait until he can be daddy's 'buddy' and go looking for horns. He keeps telling us he is 'daddy's hunting buddy'. Beau loves it!!

My cousin made some of these candy jars and I couldn't help but make some too. They were so easy and cheap to make. I love doing fun and simple crafts!!

For conference this year my parents came down thinking they could escape the Idaho weather, but little did they know they were going to get snowed in!!!
Beau had to give them a good push to get on their way. Luckily, once they got on the freeway it was smooth sailing.

SLOWLY finishing our basement

Back in March we asked Beau's Uncle Steve to come help us get our basement framed up the right way. He brought along some help and he was done in about 5 days. He framed in 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room and a theater. He also had to do some plumbing work, which I don't think was to much fun. He did a great job and are grateful we have such talented family!!!

The pic above is where there used to be a wall and a door that opened to the upstairs. It will nice to have once the basement is finished. Right now all it does is make upstairs dirty.

Within a couple of weeks of getting the basement framed, my father-in-law was able to come up and wire it all up for us!!

Beau and I have got the Sheetrock for the ceiling, and I must say being 5'4" is making it no easy task to do. We've got a total of 3 sheets up!!! and it has only taken about 2 months to do!!!
Hopefully, soon we will have the family room done. :)

Random pics

My little Mason is such a sweetheart. He is now 4 months old!!! I can't believe it! A little update on how he is doing......

At his 2 month checkup he weighed in at a whopping 8.3lbs. He gained only 1 lb in 2 months. My doctor told me to start supplementing with formula, but he would spit up tons more. So, we only did it maybe once a day. When I took him in for a weight check at 3 months he had gained just shy of a pound. He weighed 9.2lbs, which is on the low end of normal. My doctor said he should be gaining 1-2 lbs a month. He told me to keep supplementing, but since he was spitting up so much he told me to give him half of the original amount he told me to do, and I think Mason is doing quite well with it. He has his 4 month check up this next week, so we will see. I think he has gained a lot!!
Mason still sleeps through the night, he goes to bed around 10 and wakes up between 7-8. I couldn't ask for better! He's so easy to smile and laugh. He is extremely ticklish on his collarbone. It is so adorable to hear his little laugh. The only downside right now is that he has found his scream. It IS AWFUL!!! Sometimes I have to plug my ears before they start hurting.

I found Landon sucking his thumb and sticking toys in his nose. He is such a silly boy!

A couple of weeks ago the boys and I headed up to Idaho to spend the weekend. We were able to stop and see the new baby bears from Bear World. They were so cute. They people there with them treated them just like they were real babies. It was so cute! We had to wake Landon up when we got there, so he was not happy. Therefore, I have no pictures of him with the bears.

Valentines Day

Having 3 kids to find a babysitter for on Valentine's Day is no easy task. So instead of it being Beau and me, we took the whole family out to get a cheeseburger and corndog! The restaurant was surprisingly busy with lots of families who were doing the same thing.

Instead of Beau and I exchanging any gifts, we got the boys a balloon tied to a new book. (They are really easy to please.) Landon is always saying, "you make me mad mom!" So I thought this was the perfect book for him, and since Gavin can always use some manners...........

Instead of getting boxes of chocolates, I made cupcakes and let the boys decorate their own. I made frosting and bought several different candy bar toppings they could pick from. I crushed up Oreo's, Kit Kat's, Butterfingers, Score, and chewy Sweethearts. All the boys wanted were the Sweethearts, which I guess was OK with me, I'll take all the chocolate I can get!

Ice Fishing

Back in January Beau, Gavin, Landon and Grandpa Peterson went ice fishing. I've been trying to get Beau to write about their trip since I wasn't there, but I've waited long enough so I will just post the pictures. I think they are pretty self explanatory. ;)
