Adam is amazing!

So I just have to take a minute and brag about my wonderful/amazing husband. When he first got to his duty station on his deployment he got two small rooms. One for his medical room and the other for his bed. Let me tell you they are both really small rooms. Anyway Adam made this awesome exam table. It even has an adjustable back!

Here is the room from the doorway. To the Right of the picture there is another door and that is how you get to his room.

Here it is with all the adjustments that you can do. Adam is so amazing. I'm so proud of him. This table is awesome, I for one know that I couldn't have made something like this EVER!!!

People have been so kind an generous. My aunt got this package together and sent it to Adam. He said that there was more candy but if he had it in the picture it would have covered everything else. To say the least, most of the candy will be going to other people. I think he is even going to try and give some to the Afghans. I hope that they like it all.

Yesterday Adam and I were chatting on Facebook from like 2pm to 4:50pm. For those who don't know Adam is 11 1/2 house ahead of us. So he stayed up until almost 4:30am and he had to get up at 6am. I feel horrible for keeping him up so late but I know we both enjoy every minute. Now his Dad told me I should have told him to go to bed...which I did...a couple of times. We just have the hardest time saying goodbye and goodnight. When we were dating we could easily talk until 2am. Sometimes when he'd take me home we would be out in the Jeep talking, I promise just talking, okay may a little kissing....But Mom parents would turn the front pouch light on and off to let me know that it's been long enough. Time would just get away from us. I can't wait for him to get home and we can talk all day, and all night long.

I took this picture of Adam's boot by our Christmas tree. Can't really see our Tree but it's there and now full of presents for everyone. I do happen to have 3 under there for me. Adam sent all my presents he bought online to my parents' house and then my Mom wrapped them for me. Tonight we are hopping to Skype, it'll be Adam's Christmas morning and that was maybe we'll have good signal. I am guessing more people are going to Skype our Christmas morning so that they can watch their kids open their presents. I can't wait for him to open his gifts! I really can't wait to open up mine from him.

Well I hope that everyone has a Merry Christmas Eve. I am off to work in 10 minutes! lucky me. Lucky thought that I only have to work until 1 or 2ish. And looking outside I may want to leave a little early since it is snowing now. 

Adam I love  you so very much and miss you like crazy. Sometimes I just don't even want to think about how much I miss you!!! It hurts too much and I start crying.

here is to hoping we Skype tonight and then tomorrow I get to see my little BROTHER!!! He's on his mission and he will get to Skype us for Christmas. I even helped my parents get a webcam that is good and for a good deal so that the picture will be awesome!!!

Yes another package, and more training

So I knew with all the holiday craze that I better send Adam's New Year's package off soon. I sent it just it 2 weeks ago. He got it on Thursday I believe. So this is what was in one package. In another package I fit the rest of the candy from our ward, stuff from his brother to him and his interpreter. I'm pretty sure that Adam and his buddies will have a blast with the poppers. I also sent more caramels. He loves my caramels and not to brag...but they are pretty darn GOOD!!

If you don't know Adam had to organize a medical course and teach it to the Afghans. I'm so proud of him for doing such an amazing job. The course went for 2 weeks. This is the day that they taught now to insert NPA tubes. NPA tubes go in our nose and it does not look fun to get put in. One of the Afghans didn't want it stuck down his nose so Adam was a good sport and let them practice on him. He is such a good sport about it. He already has a narrowed passageway and so it puts a lot of pressure on him but he did it anyway. The last picture there of Adam, he was coughing or something but it makes it look really uncomfortable.  Adam I'm so proud of the work that you do, I hope that your superiors see the hard work that you have put into this course and recognize you for it.

Adam said that they had a really good storm the other day. It rained and rained...and rained. In other spots that our unit is in it actually snowed about 5 inches or so. Today as you know it was super cold here, and I told Adam that it was 30ish degrees. He then told me that it was in the 80s over there...SO NOT FAIR at all. Then he said that to be fair it was super hot when they got there back in July.

On another note I got my grade back on my Patho final and I got 72 out of 79 and he only grades the test out of 75. So I got AWESOME! My final grade for the semester was an A!!! ya ME!!! now on to Christmas season. I have finished wrapping presents and I am now starting to hand them out to friends and family. I am hopefully going to get to skype with Adam on his Christmas morning and I can open my presents from him. He was super smart and sent my gifts to my Mom's house and she wrapped them. So I have NO idea what he got me this year. 

So Thankful

So I have the most wonderful ward ever!! About a month ago my ward asked what Adam and some of his buddies needed. So I gave them a list and this is what they ended up giving me today at church. They tried to drop it off yesterday but I was gone. So they just gave it to me at church..now don't worry they did give me money to pay for the shipping at least I think that is what the money they gave me is suppose to pay for. There is so much candy as you can tell.

I swear there was about 20lbs of candy. I fit most of ALL this into 3 boxes and my Mom even put some of the stuff into her box that she is sending to Adam for Christmas. I still have candy left to send and so I'll be adding it to his New years eve package.

I just want to thank my ward for thinking of Adam and his buddies serving overseas right now. Adam and then will really appreciate it to get this. I'll be sending this Tuesday or Wednesday just depending of when I have the time when the post office is actually open. They seem to be getting really busy since it is the holiday season. So Thank you WARD for being SO AWESOME!!!! I am so thankful for  what you have done for Adam and I.

Christmas Package!!!

Adam got his Christmas packages today!!! I was so excited for him to get them. I ended up being able to fit it all into two boxes, I'm becoming very good at packing them..

Here is the boxes all decorated

 

I found this on pinterest, I know what a surprise, and it was in a card form so I changed it so I could put it in the box.

Here is what I put into the two boxes:

1. we have his stocking, which took up about half a box

2. presents, which I told him he is not allowed to open up until Christmas, and there is one for Christmas Eve.

3. Muddy buddies, he loves these.

4. Caramel. I make my Grandma's microwave caramel every year and had to send Adam some. I sent most of it there to him because if I have it here at home it would not be good.

5. Egg Nog: I'm not sure weather he gets it over there or not but I found it in a powder form and so that way it didn't spoil while it was being sent over.

6. Chocolate covered marshmallow Santa. Adam and his brother Jon get these ever year and they are like a buck at Walmart. 

7. Cough drops, don't know why I sent them I just had a feeling to do so.

8. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory chocolate. I went there the weekend before I sent this off, Adam loves their seafoam and I also got stuff with nuts in them.

9. Cocoa Roasted almonds. I didn't fit the entire thing into the box but I put about a quart size bag worth into the box.

10. Christmas tree with battery powered lights, ornaments, a star for the top, and a tree skirt. That way he has a tree to put his presents under.

11. you will see the 3 small stocking..well I knew Adam would want to get the other 47ish men in his group something small and I was just going to do the Grinch pill saying...

But then I decided to do the little stocking, and I got them for a good deal at Hobby Lobby (I LOVE that place)...then I put caramel, and kisses in them. Hopefully everything doesn't taste like mint, I put the non mind candy into little to help prevent that. We'll see how that goes.

Adam was super surprised that I did the little stocking for his guys. I had to make 48 of them and it took almost an entire box just for them.

So thank you for reading our blog! I hope Adam has an awesome Christmas with what I have sent and hopefully he is a good boy and doesn't open the present until Christmas. Remember this Holiday season when you are with family that those overseas serving our country are not with family and to send your love and appreciation their way.

 Here is a picture Adam sent me today of his tree all decorated with the presents under it. The ornament in the middle I got at hobby lobby and then put a picture of us kisses so that I will be there with him on Christmas. This will be our first Christmas away from each other since we have known each other. it's going to be hard.

Adam is not a fan at ALL of Twilight but when I watched it the song, A thousand years came on and it inspired me to make this video. Thank you Adam for the wonderful 4 years together and the MANY more to come.

Thanksgiving Carepackage

So this package took another 2 weeks to get to him but at least he got it before Thanksgiving. Makes me mad that it takes so long to get to him but I am happy that he does get them.

I first wrote things that I was thankful for and put them on the box lids.

I also included a cute saying at the bottom.

So this is what was in his package...

-He wanted his fuzzy PJs

-I bought some 5 dollar slippers to keep his feet warm

=He has been asking for Mangos from Costco and since we now have a costco in town I went a got some.

-I sent the rest of the herbal teas.

-On pinterest I found this... and thought it was perfect for thanksgivin

So I got bugles and some nerds. I didn't want to open the bag of bugles and have them go stail before he got them. You never know how long it'll take to get to him

-My Mom and I went to Winco and I found some fruit leather and we both love it and Adam's almost didn't make it to him..because I almost ate them.

-I also got some almond granola from Winco

-His usual drink packets

-He asked for soap, liquid soap.

-I found some of those chocolate truffles and they had hazelnut ones..He loves Nutella and so i thought he might enjoy them...one of them did not make it, instead it made it to my stomach.

-Adam's Mom(birth Mom Jane Ann) enjoyed eating Chico sticks and drinking Dr. Pepper. Adam remembers eating and drinking it with her before she died. So in honor of her  birthday this month I send him Mini Chico sticks and Dr. Pepper.

-Adam Mom and Dad sent him his Christmas early just to make sure it got there on time. So he got his one present..which was some awesome BOOTS that he wanted and he loves them..Then there is another present that I put in this package which I won't say what it is just in case Adam looks at our blog.

Even though I didn't sent that much it filled up the entire box, and it was even a little bulged.

Yesterday I spend 20 minutes in line to send off his Christmas package. I ended up being able to fit everything in two packages. I will post pictures as soon as  he gets the packages.

Adam loves getting packages so if anyone wants to send him some packages let me know...He would love to get them.

Package from Adam!!!

So I know that you have all been waiting for me to post about my package from Adam and here it is.

Adam told me that there was going to be something in the package that was going to make me cry. He kept going on about this since he sent his package 2 weeks ago. So here is some background as to what he sent me...

So back before Adam left I made him 52 reasons why I love him...see here...for Valentines day. So of course he had to out do me and do not just 52 reasons but 107. And to answer your question...yes I did cry, and cry and cry some more. The first night I read through all of them twice. He is the sweetest man EVER and I LOVE him so much!!! Thank you so much Adam for the gift.

So the other thing that was in the package for me was this.

His interpreter got it for Adam when he went to visit his home. It was really nice of him.
He also sent me this awesome Stethoscope!!!! I love it, it's the same model as the one that I got for him for Christmas last year but this one is black.

He also sent home some stuff of his that was taking up too much room.

So on another note I found this on pinterest and I loved it!!!

I feel like this when we facebook chat with each other. I love him so much!!!! Adam is leaving his current location for a while to go visit some of his men that are at another location. So I didn't get to talk to him today. But this last week he was able to get faster internet so he was able to skype with me a couple times and some of the night the song, "I'm sexy and I know it" goes off. That is his ring tone. we are able to do this with wifi calling, his phone uses the internet to call out so it doesn't cost us any more to call.

Adam if you're looking at our blog know that I love you so very much and I love the gifts that you sent home to me....and remember everyone that I tell what you got me says the ooos and the ahhs...which means DING, DING, DING for you.

Halloween Package

I know this is not a post of what Adam sent to me but Adam just got his Halloween package today...2 weeks later...so here it is...
So I send Adam his Halloween package last week on Tuesday and I can't wait for him to get it. I am hoping that he gets it tomorrow or by Tuesday. Let me tell you how good of a packager I am, I fit so much into that box..

Here is the Halloween part of the package...

-Coco roasted almonds

-a mummy wrapped Hershey's bar

-Orange Trident gum

-orange tic tacs (also called pumkim seeds)

-Peanut granola bars

-Real chocolate (he's been dieing to get some "real" chocolate. He doesn't consider M&Ms real chocolate.

-peach rings

-Apple rings (hallowed frog eyes)

-White chocolate pretzels (crows bones)

-Chick-o-stick (he loves them and I found individual wrapped packages)

Here is the non-Halloween part of the package which includes the things that he wanted me to send to him.

-breakfast on the go (he can't seem to get enough of that)

-Herable teas

-Pero

-Excedrine migraine (he needed for one of his buddies)

-Nose strips (since people say that he snores over there)

-Ka Bar knife.

-Drink Packets

-tea infuser (he got a LOT of green tea from the locals there) He said it's good

-Smell good for the room

Out of EVERYTHING that I send this is the only 3 things that I was not able to fit in the box...

I did make Pumpkin spice cookies that you make with a cake mix, pumpkin and chocolate chips. So I am hoping they are still good when they get there.

The end project....:) I put a ton into it and I hope that he gets it soon.

Adam is doing good and is still liking being out there. He said that he could use laundry detergent, chocolate, and anything else that is healthy. They don't like to get too much junk food because they already get a lot of that.

I love sending Adam these packages because it is a way to show him how much I love him.

Package 7! My HERO...ADAM

This is by FAR the fastest any of my packages to Adam have made it to him. Package # 7 made it to him in a record time of 5 days. This morning when we were talking he said, " I had a crazy surprise yesterday... I got your package! I loved the super hero theme..."...I can't believe he got it already. So as you can see from his comment it was a hero themed one.

Adam LOVES the breakfast of the gos and so I have to send them every time I sent a package.

He said that one of his buddies got some crackers, summer sausage and also the cheese. So I sent him some too.

Kipper snacks-we both love them and so I sent those and also saltine cracker with it.

Chocolate bars...he loves almonds and also heath bars.

As for the hero things....Breath mints because every hero need good breath for when they kiss the girl they save.

Those apple sauce squeeze...I  put hero sauce on it.

I also found the hero wipes at the dollar store.

Sunflower seeds...Hero seeds.

Drink packers...hero drink.

Also when I was getting the package ready he said that his 500GB hard drive was full of movies and so I went and bought a 2TB one so he could continue getting movies. Also he was sick and so I got some of my Mom's Grandma's magic and cough drops. Of course I had to write my love letter to him like I always do...so happy that you loved my package to you Adam!!!

Here is the saying I put at the bottom of his package this time. I found a website that has all these cute saying and so I just had to put this one in there...Just shows that we have a true love.

I love you Adam and I can't wait to be with you again...today marks our 111 day from each other.

A few new things

So as part of my birthday present to MYSELF I bought a new bedspread. I bought a duvet. I wanted one because I can take the cover off and can wash it. It brightens up the room a lot.

The pictures are not the best pictures but they do show just how cute my duvet is... Adam loves it too and it has paisleys on it which is awesome!

View 3...A couple months ago I repainted the frames you see in the back. They were brown and then I pained them white and so now they match my bedspread.

A couple weeks ago my friend had a TOMS part and if you haven't heard they sale the Toms for cheaper. I got the burlap ones and then I also got some for my friend Estell and her cousin. Well the ones I picked up for her cousin didn't fit so we had to exchange them that weekend and I got the red pair then. I got the burlap ones for 35 and the red ones for 20 bucks...I also got a pair for my sister...PINK Sparkle ones...and if you know my sister you know that she is all girl and loves sparkly things a LOT!

Here is a picture that Adam sent me that doesn't have any of the country background. Due to security reasons I don't post any background pictures and if family would like to see the rest of the pictures I will have them at our next gathering. I love that Adam has sent me so many pictures. He is doing good and gets to call me on the phone about once a week. 

My SEXY soldier!!

I'm so proud of my Adam and everything that he does for me and supports me in everything you do. I love you Adam and I can't wait to talk to you again.

Package # 4 & 5

So this last package that I sent Adam ended up being 2 boxes!! I couldn't believe it. So the picture below just has some of the stuff that I sent. I forgot to take a picture of the other stuff.

1. M & M-he has been craving them BIG TIME!

2. Breakfast of the go-Adam loves these and was sad that I only sent him 1 box last time. So I got 3 boxes this last time.

3. Emergency-so that he can get vitamin C and make sure he doesn't get sick

4. water flavor packet

5. Charleston chews

6. Sour patch watermelons, kids, and octopuses-he loves the sour gummies

7. Pop Tarts-He would get these every once in a while and loved them so I thought I would get them again for him

8. Swedish Fish, one of his all time favorite treats

9. Chocolate roasted almonds-His buddies wife send some to them and he loved them and asked me to get some more. He told me today that he has almost  eaten the whole container. Guess it's time to get more and thank goodness they are healthy.

Other things included in this package was a camera-he gave the other one he had to the interpreter so that he can take pictures of his family.

Light and rail for his gun-another story for this which you can ask me on a personal basis. I don't want to post it online.

Chapstick

I also sent him a present-an awesome medic shirt-They are always calling medics Doc over there so hence the Doc of the back of the shirt...HE LOVED IT!!

I also sent more nasal stripes because everyone keeps telling him that he snores too loud. He never snored at home and on the off occasion that he did I just nudge him and he would stop.

I think there were other things but I can't remember what it all was. But he loved his package!

Adam told me that at one spot where he was at there were forts built by Alexander the Great. How cool is that!

Twin Diaper Cakes

So one of Adam's buddies (Phil) that is overseas with him just became a father yesterday....to TWIN boys!!! They are so cute!!!! I was able to go see Kristina (Phil's wife) and their two boys today. I was so happy to see them and I just love holding babies! They are healthy and doing so well and get to go home tomorrow...hopefully.... Noelan was born at 6lb 6oz and Hudson was born at 7lbs. I still can't believe how big they are.

Back in July I asked Adam what we should do for them. I really wanted to get them something and Adam told me I should make one of my diaper cakes...then I thought, well they are having twins so I should make two. One for each twin.

Cake #1

I don't know if you can see the binky holder in the picture above..it's right by the camo socks . My Mom helped me make them. They are also make out of camo ribbon.

There is the happy Mom and the twins. Kristina looks so great! I hope I can look this good after my labor.
