Wouldn't You Love to Love Her

Glassed by Jeff Hull with Entropy Resins Super-Sapp [a sap based, eco resin], and shaped from recyclable EPS foam...progress, indeed!

I'm really impressed with the resin especially, it has a nice twang to it that feels like a middle ground between poly and epoxy. PLUS it's a true 'eco-resin' from a company that seems to really get what we're all after, which makes me all giddy.

Dubs

Two from the past couple of days; one for Connor's brother Spencer, and then one that I shaped as a stocker but I'm falling deeply in love with it...

The second is a full on 6'11 1/2" hullibut with a triplane-hulled to single concave bottom; the difference on this one being that the planes aren't all flat surfaces but slightly curved, so it's three hulled surfaces...if that makes sense. a little bit techincally difficult to shape but far more hull-feel for good points than a regular triplane.

The board bends about 2.5" in hand from the widepoint to the tail, with one person holding the nose down and the other torquing on the tail.  The 2.5" is from flat, so when it's twisted the corners of the tail can actually have about 5" of difference...I'm pretty impressed with it and that i actually got the flex I was looking for; now it's just time for the real deal testing!  You can even grab it from about 12" from the tail and twist the board from that point as well, meaning that a lot of the flex is coming from the center of the board as opposed to the tail alone.

The materials seem to really have a clear resonance through the board, you can twang the fin and the vibrations carry all the way through the nose and make a really unique sound compared to other material combinations.
