First Day of School--3rd Grade & Kindy garden

Colby started Kindergarden one week after Jack started 3rd grade. What would a picture of Colby be without some sort of kung fu move. He could not wait to "wrestle" his friends at recess.

This handsome kid is going to 3rd grade with his favorite plaid shorts and cobra shoes. I had to get another pair of shorts so he could give these a rest for a few days. What is it with boys and plaid shorts? So cute, I say. 3rd grade--he is a big kid.

This picture is worth 1,000 mushy gushy mommy words. Say no more.

Jack's Baptism Day

Jack's baptism was scheduled for 12 noon. He was really excited to have his dad baptize him and his cousins there. He asked Uncle Ben to give the talk on the holy ghost and his cousin Jaden to give a prayer. His cousin Jordan was a witness. He looked so handsome in his new suit too. Just like a little missionary. I love him so much!

Ericka had such a great idea to get Jack's picture right after he was baptized. Look at that happy face. I hope he is always that happy when he thinks about this special day.

There is no way to get these kids to sit still together--especially for a picture. It was such a fight--really killed the fun mood that aunt Sara wanted a picture. What was I thinking? Apparently, exactly what Colby & Brenner are thinking in this picture.

Summer Flaming Gorge Fun

Jack was thinking about getting tricky on the knee board. He ended up trying a 360 (ended up a 180). It's kind of a big deal around here.











I'm not all that great at it, but I love to water ski. The water has to be really smooth in order for me to even get up. No tricks, just up and down.












Colby played Harry Potter by the fire every night. I love this picture--he looks like he is under his own spell.










Colby really did like knee boarding, but this picture is the best! Plus, let's address Jason's gun show.

Jack's 8th Birthday

Jack started off his 8th birthday by running in the Strawberry Days 5k race with Jason. Jack beat his best time by 5 minutes coming in at 27 minutes.

He loves his new baseball bat! He also got Monopoly Deal, baseballs & a baseball retrieving/pitching net.

He couldn't blow out the candles on his birthday cake. He started laughing & it made everyone else laugh too.

He has been waiting a whole year to be tall enough to ride the "Ring of Fire" at Strawberry Days carnival. This is him hanging upside down (on the left).

We went golfing together the day before at Cascade Springs. Jack ended up bogeying four of the par 3 holes and got a double bogey on one of the par 4's.

Happy Father's Day Jason

Jack, Colby & I surprised Jason for Father's Day with a helicopter ride over Pleasant Grove. The kids kept a great secret. I told them they wouldn't get birthdays this year if they told Jason our surprise. Cameron Fugal was a great pilot.

Nascar Monopoly

Jack cannot get enough of Monopoly these days. Whenever he asks we usually say it takes too long to play. With President's Day weekend we have had all the time in the world to play. Friday night Jason monopolized Colby, Jack & me. Saturday morning we had cousins come play. They giggled and played for close to 3 hours. I think Trish or Mike gave Jason the game a few years ago for Christmas. Thanks guys! We love it! Look at alllllll that cash.

Learning to Ski

Who are we kidding, it's about the food right? Fries hit the spot for our tired bodies. Except that Colby is never tired. We miss the spleen a little bit.

Jack is a skiing superstar! He cruises down the mountain and now likes to look for "little" jumps to go on.

We are taking advantage of "Free Skiing after 3 pm". Seriously, you can't pass that up.

These two are hilarious. When Colby crashes, he acts like he is dead. He will close his eyes and won't move. People look at us weird because we blow it off. We know if he were really hurt, he would not be SILENT!

This harness is the best idea for slooowwwing Colby down. He is so funny. He sticks his hands on his knees and sings all the way down the mountain. Classics for him are the theme song from "Despicable Me" and Taio Cruz's "Dyno-mite". I have to agree with his choice in music.
