Giving Thanks

One week from today is Thanksgiving. It happens to be one of my favorite holidays. I love reflecting on the rich blessings I enjoy and expressing gratitude for them. I always feel grateful but it seems this time of year gives us extra pause to reflect. I'm so thankful for my family. Don and the girls are my life. I'm thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ that enables families to be together forever. I am so thankful I took a chance and went out on a blind date 16 years ago! Because of that I ended up with one of the most ambitious, driven, kind, and wonderful eternal companion. Don is the man of my dreams and perfect for me. I had a list of traits I hoped my eternal husband would have and he had a check by every one! I feel so lucky I got him - Heavenly Father truly was watching out for me on that one! He works so hard to give us a comfortable life and is also so much fun I treasure all the time I get to spend with him! I love you forever, Donno! Jordan is so precious. She is the kind of child every parent wishes for. She is so persistant, works so hard in school, treats people with kindness, and loves children. She is babysitter extraordinaire, hairstylist extraordinaire, and daughter extraordinaire! Love you so much, Jordie! Jacie is a complete delight! She loves life, lives it with gusto, and is almost always happy. She makes friends with anyone regardless, and is a great example of accepting others. She is smart, creative (she can make just about anything with paper, including 3 dimensional birds!), and hilarious. Love you gugoplex, Jace! I even love Cooper - our dog. He can do things that just drive you nuts, but when he is all curled up right in the middle of our bed, like he belongs there, you can't him but love him. He has a way of endearing himself to you! I could never thank our Father in Heaven enough for the multitude of blessings I have. I could never thank our Savior enough for his atoning sacrifice. Without it, I couldn't be with my beloved family for eternity. So grateful for that knowledge! I'm thankful for my beloved Grandma - Clara Kreutzer. She is 92 years old and still going strong. I'm so thankful she is still part of our lives. Yesterday she came to Jacie's play at school. She is the epitome of a perfect grandparent (my beloved Grandpa Donald Kreutzer was too), and Don and I said we want to be grandparents like that! Notice Don and my grandpa share a name? Great guys are named Donald (at least these 2 are!)

Okay nobody freak out, but I'm updating my blog! Shocking, I know. I been thinking how lucky I am. Lucky to have Don, Jordan, and Jacie now and in eternity. Lucky to have just spent a blissful week in Maui with the 3 precious people above. Lucky to have wonderful family and friends who I love and look up to in so many ways. Lucky - yes. Blessed - very! As soon as Jordan comes home I hope to put our Maui pictures on here and I need her technical help.
