Sad to say goodbye!

We are so happy and so sad to say goodbye to my cousin, Lindz, and her husband Doug, and Carli's bff Els as they head off to San Diego for a new adventure.  They have lived just a couple of miles away from us and Carli and Els have been inseperable.  All we have to say is "hug each other" and they immediately put their arms around each other.  Tried to get the perfect picture of them hugging, but instead got a lot of really cute pictures of them doing what they do best - being 2 year old girls that love each other! 

 I have put off posting these pictures because I knew it would make me miss them, and it has but we do wish them the best, just hard to say goodbye. 

I love this pic of Carli kissing her bff.  That sad part is that they don't even realize they won't be seeing each other for a long time!

Scentsy booth

Two of my friends (and Scentsy team members - it works out really well when your close friends sell Scentsy with you!) did a booth at an all day event at the Southtowne Expo center.  It was my first time doing a big show on my own (with the help of these 2 awesome girls!)  We did really well and can't wait to do more together.  That is our display, the very first one when people walked in the door.  However, we were underneath an air conditioner, so we froze most of the day.  Cute Sara, bundling up!

 After being there from 9am-midnight, we are on our way home.  Steph is loaded up, it doesn't even look like that much in this picture, but she had tons of stuff! 

hair today / gone tomorrow!

A couple of weeks ago, my mom and i took the boys to Cookie Cutters to get their hair cut. Carli was playing on the slide there and my mom asked if I cut her hair.  I told her I hadn't but the more I got looking at it, the more I realized that the back did look funny.  Some pieces were longer than others.  We decided that someone had cut her hair and then I remembered the day before taking a pair of scissors out of Carli's hands! 

 It looked like this!  I talked to Kaitlin about it and she said that she and Carli had cut each other's hair and then proceeded to show me all the clumps of hair in the basement.  They had played "beauty parlor."  I made an appt with my hair gal, Aania and after telling Kait that we needed to get Carli's hair cut, Kait said, "I don't know why you need to get her hair cut, I already cut it for her!"  Yes, we know, and that would be why!  Kaitlin's hair is almost a lost cause.  Logan cut her bangs off a couple of months ago so she has crops of bangs that are super short and then Carli apparently whacked sections from the side of Kaitlin's hair as well as underneath where you can't see.

 So, here is Carli's first hair cut.  As sad as I was to lose the curls, I think her hair looks ADORABLE! Aania did a rockstar job, of course!

more easter

 I am embarassed to admit that we have never colored real Easter eggs with our kids.  I think they did it one year at a friends house, but I've never done it with them.  So Brian boiled 2 dozen eggs the day before and we colored eggs.  Fun!

more pictures from the 4 easter eggs hunts our kids did.  This was the first one in our neighborhood.  It was great!  Our neighbors are so great for going all out and making this so fun for all the neighbor kids.  This is the first year we participated in it, now I am wondering what took us so long!  Love the pic of Carli walking down the street!

 We had some fun times over spring break. We went to the Childrens museum (LDS) and we also went up to the Treehouse Museum in Ogden which is always a guaranteed good time.  We spent those 2 days with friend Alicia and her kids.  Always so much fun!

 I think I have more Easter egg hunt pictures to download on my other camera, but these are from my phone.  My kids did 4 egg hunts Easter weekend.  These pictures are from the 2nd one on Saturday at Aunt Cindi's house in Logan.  Aunt Jodi always hosts an awesome Easter party for all the kids.  She buys them all kinds of things- sand pails, shovels, bubbles, chalk etc... and then she enlisted the help of the teenage niece and nephew and they helped her hide hundreds of plastic eggs.  Here the cousins are all getting instructions about the hunt.

 The boys are totally into camoflauge stuff right now.  They would dress in all cammo if they could.

 Aunt Jodi brought a huge chocolate cake from Costco for dessert.  The girls are on the 3rd piece.

cute new 'do

I'm not very good with hair but I thought this 'do is really cute.  I met my friend Beth last weekend for lunch and her girls hair is always adorable.  So she showed me this simple twist.  I've always seen this twist around but never known how to do it.  Really cute and super easy.  I made Kait wear her hair like this 4 days in a row!  She begged me for a different style on the 4th day! HA! ;)

Carli's day at the hospital

Carli has had numerous ear infections over her 2 short years of life as well as some eating and sleeping problems.  She chews food and then spits it out all the time.  She also has always been a horrible sleeper at night.  So I took her to see her pediatrician for her Well Visit and was explaining this to him and he said her tonsils were huge.  So he sent us to an ENT, the best - Dr Kelly.  He has done 3 of our 4 kids.  So Dr Kelly also did a hearing test on Carli and said she didn't pass because of all the fluid in her ears.  Tuesday of this week was the big day.  Tubes in her ears and tonsils /adnoids out.

We had to wake up at 5:45 but Carli was up at 5am so I guess I was too!  We left at 6:15 am and headed up.  Here is Carli in all her glory before she knew what was happening to her!   And then in her little hospital pajamas with a Dora sticker that the nurse gave her and she kept on her at all times!

 In recovery.  We stayed for 6 long hours from start to finish because her oxygen levels wouldn't stay above 92.  Finally after 2 hours in recovery, it got up to 92 on her own and we were OUTTA there! ;)

 The wagon ride to the car with her apple juice that she drank like a champ!

 The next morning, we gave her a popsicle and then Kaitlin passed out "sympathy popsicles" to everyone else. 

The recovery has been somewhat challenging but today, Friday, she is MUCH better.  She seems to have turned a corner.  Up to this point, it's been a lot of wimpering, like a dog, and "owies" and tons of sleeping.  Today, she seems a lot more like her old self!
