Booked out yesterday and is enjoying civilian life right now. Leading an army life and a normal life is indeed very different. No computers, no high tech entertainment, no life, in BMTC. But there is one thing there that I really appreciate, and that is my section mates.

Before further elaboration, there are some facts you need to know. My section has 13 people initially before 1 was out of course because of a dislocated shoulder. I seriously pity him because he was in the course for less than a week and the thought of coming back to BTMC is just not a thing that you would want to hope for.

My section mates are all JC students and some are from HCI, VJC and others imba JCs. There are also 3 from JJC in my section. We made music during our free time which is luxury to have actually. We are hoping that we could gather out of camp and record down the music that we made, and mind you, the music is seriously not bad. Even others sections came in to join in the fun.

The Tekong camp is vastly different for what I thought of initially before I book in. I thought it would be those metal houses or some run down place, but I was not to be. The layout of the camp is pretty much like an ordinary secondary school. It is very urban and clean. And the best thing is that, there are NO MOSQUITOES.

One last thing about that place is that it offers the best view of the aeroplanes, even better than the view from mainland Singapore. The sights of aeroplanes zooming pass our heads when ascending and the sight of it slowly descending from the distance is really a wonderful sight. I seriously hope than all Singaporeans will get to see the sight.

I am booking in this Monday afternoon and it’s the start of serious training in BMTC. I am hoping to get into OCS, but with my fitness, I don’t really think I can make it. I am still a zerofighter (those who cant do chin ups), which means that I will need to work extra hard to pass my IPPT.

To my friends that are going army, please take the trouble and go to beach road and buy some ns cloths and socks because you will really need it. And to those who are not fit and still a zerofighter like me, please go and train. To those who are not going ns, have a nice time and earn as much $$$ before university begins. It will be some time before I update my post again.

That was some of the things I brought for my recruitment day. If you can read, I suppose you will ask WHY 6 UNDERWEARS??? That was exactly the same question I ask my mum, and in the end… have an argument with her. She was complaining that it is seriously not enough and the persistent ranting is still ongoing as my typing progresses. She actually demanded that I bring 10 underwear!!! WTF?? Bring so many for what. KE SIAO.

Moving on to a brighter side, which is not very bright either, I am VERY ill prepared for NS actually. I think I can now only do 1 pull up and run 2.4km in 12 minutes. TORTURE and TORMENT is the word that will perfectly describe my feelings for the next 2 weeks. Muscle aches will be permanent, but WL pointed out that I will be glad that I wont be the only one feeling that unless… SL is in my camp. He did 90 sit ups WITH EASE.

Now seriously moving onto the brighter side, THE 06S22 chalet!!! It was no doubt fun for me and it doesn’t matter how others feel about it, IT IS FUN. The game that YF brought, which in this case referring to the wolf, is in my opinion fun at first but sian after a while. But the biggest advantage to that game is that IT REALLY KILLS TIME!!! I was down on my luck in the second day of that chalet, losing $$$ in blackjack to Jessica. I think she swept the whole table except for a few cents that WL won. Actually I feel bad grumbling because I did win quite a lot for mahjong. I won $11 without the help from Jessica and about $6 with the help from Jessica as we shared the winnings.

The most meaningful thing that I feel we did for the chalet is celebrating the birthday for WL. I must really thank Phyllis’s father for waiting for the celebration to be successful. You won’t know what I mean unless you are there. HAHA. The celebration wasn’t perfect, nonetheless still fun and successful. I got the timing all wrong and opened the door when KS and Melisa was still not there yet, how stupid can I get.

The most populous thing that we did was the BBQ, the most profitable thing I did was mahjong, the most enjoyable thing I think we did was the forfeit, and it was really hilarious. The details will be kept confidential as no one should actually know about it.

The final day was spent in T3 after booking out of chalet. T3 opens on 9 Jan and we went on 8 Jan. I actually think that the layout of that place is very similar to T2 except that everything is new. It was disappointing that we could not visit the restricted area as the tour ended on the last day of December and the airport has started gearing up for the big day.

I think I shall stop now and start preparing for the BIG DAY!!! Which is about 12 hours later.

This is the start of the New Year, and I felt that I should at least post something. Recruitment day is coming and I think I still can’t do more than 1 pull ups. SIAO LIAO lar. No motivation, No encouragement, No everything. My life is bring, nothing interesting, nothing worth to remember, nothing worth to blog for. The feeling now is that I feel so naked without my water bottle around. As NS looms, the thought of me parting ways with my water bottle just freaks me out. Im not actually in love with my water bottle but rather it’s the water it contains. I am someone who drinks lots of water everyday and I am just afraid that the army will not allow me to do so.

My sis is in primary 1 and I have a feeling that she is going to have a hard time. She played throughout the course of the whole holidays and did nothing to improve her studies. She did not even learn times table, which is something she promised as a condition for ice cream cake. Aiya who cares, still primary 1 nia, fail all her subjects also not my problem. Tell u a family matter ba. With my dad around no one can ever teach her anything de. Once she encounter a problem, she will be there crying, I don’t know, I don’t want to learn, I want sleep, I want to pass urine, all sorts of reasons and once you lose u patience on her and yell at her, my dad will also lose his patience. WAT TO DO?? Easy, leave her room lo, don’t care about her can liao.

Finally class chalet is approaching and I cant wait for it to start. The details of the length of stay are stated as below.
