My wonderful boys

Oh how I love them! I have The best boys on the planet! They are so wonderful and I couldn't be more proud. They are so smart and are full of energy and life. I love hearing them laugh hard while pillow fighting, or hearing them tell about their day at school and what they have learned. I love how they all come in from school and start talking to me all at once. They tell me frequently that they love me and I really feel that. They are great brothers to their little sis. and dote over her everyday. They are great helpers and I love it when I see them making each others beds or give to another to make the other happy. I love their excitement for Christmas and the spirit that they bring to our home. I know they are all trying to do what is right and that does my heart good! I love being their mom and am ever grateful for them. I also have to mention, but really you can see for yourselves, what good looking little people they are!











I forgot to add how they are such boys!( making funny noises with their armpits then laughing until they were rolling on the floor was last night's boy activity I found them enjoying)

Daddy's girl

Grace has her daddy totally wrapped around her little fingers. When Nathan gets home from work, she squeals very loudly with delight, and then wants nothing to do with me. When she wakes up she calls for da-ee, when she sees me talking on the phone she says da-ee and sometimes we just have to call and talk to him. She always brings him books to read and he also lets her play in the kitchen sink which she loves. She loves to follow him around and say da-ee, da-ee, da-ee and Nathan says "what Grace" followed by more da-ee's. It is so fun to see Nathan with her.

NEW BLESSINGS TO COUNT

Happy Fall !!! I really enjoyed being out in our new back yard this last week with the kids. The weather has been beautiful and I love that there are leaves to rake. I am counting new blessings this year as we have our own trees and leaves to rake, our own yard, space to plant our very own garden next year. Not to mention all the lovely space we now have in our house. I feel so blessed that we have been led to this home and absolutely love it!!! Here are some of my cute little blessings that I count on a daily basis.

Halloween

Hello everyone, hopefully you still believe that we are around. Sorry it has been so long. We sold our house a week after the last entry . We have packed up and moved. We stayed at Nathans parents for about 2 months, which in the mean time, searched for a new home, found one, decided to remodel the kitchen before we moved in, moved in, started the kids at their new school, we continue to unpack boxes and still have nothing hung on the walls!We are so very happy though and feel so good about our new home. I will post some pictures of the house soon when all is cleaned and put away. Here are some pics from last weekend. Kanon the punk rocker, (notice the purple spikes) Joseph the crazy mad scientist, Adam the werewolf,(notice the moon in the sky that he was howling at) Ian the scary skeleton. Grace was a little supergirl! I am so glad the weather was pleasant. I went around with Ian, and the 3 older boys went out with the boys next door( same ages and Kanon ,Joseph, and Adam) They had a blast. Needless to say, it's only been a week and all the candy is pretty much gone. Okay there are smarties and tootsie pops left, but not much of anything else, bummer for me!

Beautiful Grace turns one!

Our Beautiful sweet Grace turned one on the 7th of July. Here are a few things you should all know about her. She is the sunshine of the Black house. She is happy and loves to be silly. The moment she hears music or someone starts singing, she starts in on her dance moves. Mom is hoping that the dancing sticks. She knows what she wants, and it's getting harder and harder to distract her if it is something she can't have. Food usually does the trick! She is a good eater as you can tell from the pics.Gracie loves her baby doll and princess book that she opened on her birthday. She spun around in circles with her baby and loved sucking it's little head. Now she carries it around banging it's head on the table, floor, walls etc.(gotta love the motherly instincts coming out at such a young age!) Grace has every single one of us wrapped tightly around her cute little fingers. We love her so much and are happy she is one of us! Her birthday was a fun day. Grace loves to be outside and is always going to the front door. She loves birdies and so we decided to take her to the Tracy Aviary for her birthday outing. She loved it! We had a the cake eating ceremony later that evening and she didn't even hesitate, she grabbed with both fists and went for it, eating more sugar than her little body has ever experienced. She was up until after 11 pm.

Let Freedom Ring

I have to admit that I love the summer holidays! Hanging out with family, barbecues, playing in the water, parades, fireworks, celebrating our freedom and the blessings we have, also thinking of those who have gone on before us and paved the way. I do have to add watermelon, watermelon and more watermelon (I can't get enough of it! I crave it almost everyday). Here are a few moments of our fourth of July holiday. I am lame and remember my camera about half the time. We did swim with Josh and Julie and kids that night and then stayed and did some fireworks with them after. We had a blast!!!!! Grace loved joining in with the big cousins and did not hesitate to get right in the water. Check out the cute video clip.

Ian turns 5-my big littlest boy!

My energetic little guy is not so little anymore! I love Ian and feel so blessed to be his mom. He turned 5 on July 2nd. We had a great day together. G-ma and G-pa Black to us all out to lunch. Ian got to go shopping with G-ma McBride at Toys R Us and came home with more toys than I'm sure she had budgeted for, but said they had a great time together. That evening we went swimming at the Murray Park Center indoor pool. Cousins Caleb and Taylor came too and we enjoyed getting wet (of course I brought the camera, but forgot to take pictures. Brilliant!) We came back home and had Alien cake and ice cream. Grandpa and Grandma Black joined us. Ian was so cute about everything. Nathan asked him to give the prayer at dinner and Ian asked "dad did you pick me to say it because I'm the birthday boy?"

School's out!!!!

Well, it is finally summer! We haven't really been able to go do much outside because it has been rainy for a week and a half straight. This week looks good and as soon as we get over the sickness in our house we are soooooooo ready to go. Here are some pictures of the last day of school. The boys with their teachers and friends and some of Ian at his preschool program. I can't figure out why the video skipped to the bottom (oh well). I am so proud of my boys and I have to brag that they all got "A's" up and down their report cards. I can't believe that my little Ian will be in Kindergarten and that my big Kanon will be in 6th. Next year will be the only time that all four of my boys will be in the same school at the same time.
Our summer plans in no particular order: sell the house and move, play alot, swim alot, hike, picnic, Matt and Amanda's wedding and spending time with the out of towners, reading, getting in shape, celebrating our 13th Anniversary (probably up in midway). Ian and Grace have July birthdays, and the list could go on. I love spending time with the kids during the summer. Now we just can't wait to get going.!














I had to add the pictures of Kanon with his state report. He chose Virginia because Ben and Sarah are there and Rach and Jeff were there. I have to admit I learned alot, but was glad to see that project done! He of course got an "A" on it and thanks to Ben for your help!
