Just a quick photo of a slow progress. I have a ton of projects going on and I have even more to do with the terrain buisness, so for now I put the russians in the box again and will try to catch up on some laser cut buildings that need paint and pictures.
I really need a mancave/office.
Some black on the weapons, wheels and tracks. And two washes to make the details pop. I think I will add a light drybrushed highlight and then move on to the base. Its nice to paint these minis as even if I dont really have the time I can go over all of them in just a small time with a little paint.
I have begun to paint the russians, still some washes and detailing to do and the base of course. They sure are tiny, weird that I cant finish them quicker! :)
I thought I should share my basing for the 6mm models. A steel washer, filler, some pebbles and sand. All primed and ready for paint!
Everything prepared, just opened the glue bottle..

Summer has arrived!
I got a package from Magistermilitum today, with some ghq blisters, no aircraft as they were out of stock, no biggie but it would take some weeks for them to get here.
I wont tell you so much as the pictures talk for themselves quite well! The compairson shot with a skytrex model really tells that you get what you pay for.
Just a quickie update of the last decals on the weapons. When I get home from work in tomorrow morning I'll glue these to the Harrier, and wait for a friend to get some decal fixing fluids to me.
Tomorrow I'll meet some friends for a painting session. Worth noting is that my book about the teutons have arrived so it will be knight painting!
Well almost anyway.. I have yet to paint the bombs and missiles and then there is quite a few decals to fit on those things too. But the big work is done, and another project is coming closer to *mystical sound* finished!
Well, there sure is a lot of decals on a bird in this scale... I will need a decal fixing liquid to make them smoother, but I wont be finished anytime soon anyway! :)
I actually managed to splash some paint to the bird, but I learned the hard way the importance of a good mixing. I bought a bottle of Humbrols water based paint, which would work with airbrush, but it was too thick and was a bit so-so to spray on. I will continue this week and hopefully get a better idea of how to make the most of my airbrush.
Much work and slow progress, but I finished the cockpit yesterday, and next step is to mask it and start airbrushing! Hopefully something will be done this weekend.
While I did the final touches on the bradley I started gluing together this flying machine, and now I have some minor details left before painting. I guess my airbrush will come to use again.. :)
It is Airfix 1/48 BAe Sea Harrier FRS.1, and my first aircraft since I was a kid. It will be fun to see what I can do with this thing.
I have always liked the Harrier, and at this scale it really look like the beast it is!
