Christmas Christmas Time is Here!

I wonder if it is just going to keep getting harder to keep up! Thanks to Christopher, my nine year old, I finally got the presents wrapped at 4 a.m. Christmas Eve morning. He couldn't sleep and I sleep on screen saver mode so if I am even slightly disturbed, I am wide awake.

His cousins were over so they woke up at 5 a.m. and we played board games. I guess you fit it in when you can!

Of course, then I got to keep going strong until 11:30 p.m. until Santa arrived! Oh the joys! I really am beginning to wonder if you just get to a point that you have gone without sleep for so long that you just don't need it anymore.

No the truth is I will crash for a whole week in mid-January and wonder what is wrong with me!

Life is good though, I wouldn't want to be sleeping through any of this excitement. I realized the other day that the thought of all my children being in school someday is not as sweet as it seems, because it means that the days of cute baby sighs and squeals and toddler hugs will be all gone FOREVER! Just writing that makes me cry! I guess I like this Mom thing more than I admit sometimes!

So my Christmas wish is to be able to live in this moment and love it! May we all enjoy our families for this very short time because, before we know it, it will all be over.

Things that aren't so funny-a few weeks out-very funny!

So I set up this blog and now I have to actually add something to it. Why does the thought of this overwhelm me so much?

Okay I have to add these two things first because they make me laugh (now that they are past). With in a few weeks time, Ethan busted up his nose (I never took a picture)-but didn't break it-he was riding his bike and lost control on an landed on his nose on the front porch, Joshua threw a rock through the minivan window, and Christopher played "catapult" with Ethan and broke his wrist! Life is never dull around here.

Here is a picture of my oldes and youngest child. Christopher is a wonderful big brother to his sweet baby sister. They adore each other.

Okay, so this is my very first post. I plan to add lots of pictures and stories here. But for now, taking this big step to actually create this blog was a HUGE step for me in my overloaded life!
