End of summer is coming

Bella was in Texas for most of the summer working, but is in Utah for a few weeks before heading back to ID. So, date nights with the Kendall's. Topgolf was so fun and Ali was so good!

John taught Emry how to pretend eat and it is so funny.

She literally loves her bears and her crib. At bedtime, we give her a bottle and then she reaches for her crib. It is cute, but sometimes I just want to snuggle her and she isn't a fan. 

 

Emry is 1!

Baby girls is such a big girl. We had a little party with family and friends and Emry did pretty good. I think she was super overwhelmed and there were so many people around. She got lots of gifts and loved making a mess with her cake. She was not a fan of eating it, but throwing it was fun. 

On her actual birthday we went to Chick Fil A for their mac n cheese :)

Why is she so long? This was after John took her on a long walk and she fell asleep.

 

Always busy

We got to go see all the "cousins" in Frozen and it was so cute. And talked Jenna into babysitting.

We go on lots of walks. The dogs need to go out 3 times a day. Every morning by 7 am, I am ready and taking the dogs and Emry out. Emry loves it.

Sarah got married! We were so happy to spend the day with the Kendall's and Emry did great. 

 

Rest of July

Everything is really all about Emry right now. We are trying to give her all of our time and attention and all the love she wants/needs. 

John and I had friends give us tickets to a Real Salt Lake game and they also offered to watch Emry that evening. The game was fun and it was nice to get a date night.

Aunty Ali came home from her mission and gets to babysit now :)

Once in a while we get both grand kids!

She loves her Pinky Bear(s). She actually has 3, but we only keep 2 in the crib. She loves them both.

It has been such a hot hot summer and Emry loves the water. We don't have a yard, but this fits on our front patio.

She loves her little play kitchen. We are working on getting a play room together for her.

 

Staying cool

She was falling asleep siting up and just leaned over :)

Salt Lake decided to break the ALL TIME high and we hit 109* yesterday. We headed up the canyon again, this time with some family. Emry did great. Walked around the lake with her on my back. She loved it, my back - not so much!

We waited for bedtime to head home and she was so tired. We got in the car and she decided to play and talk for 20 minutes. But she did fall asleep.

We got to have both of our grandkids for a few hours and it was lovely. 

 

July 4th

4th of July is a little different with a 10 month old. And it was really hot. And she goes to bed at 8, so no fireworks for us. But we had a good time at the splash pad and up at Silver Lake.
