A Hymn by Elizabeth Prentiss

More love to Thee, O Christ, more love to Thee!
Hear Thou the prayer I make on bended knee;
This is my earnest plea,
More love, O Christ, to Thee,
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!

Once earthly joy I craved, sought peace and rest;
Now Thee alone I seek; give what is best:
This all my prayer shall be,
More love, O Christ, to Thee,
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!

Let sorrow do its work, send grief or pain;
Sweet are Thy messengers, sweet their refrain,
When they can sing with me,
More love, O Christ, to Thee,
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!

Then shall my latest breath whisper Thy praise;
This be the parting cry my heart shall raise,
This still its prayer shall be,
More love, O Christ to Thee,
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!

A Few of His Favorite Things....

I try not to brag or boast in my son, but when you are a first-time mom, and a stay-at-home mom at that, it seems at times that he is the only thing I know. So, I apologize, for yet another Aiden post. I must say though, he is such a joy to watch as his abilities and personality continue to grow. He is now 9 1/2 months old and VERY active. The children's director at church informed us that Aiden needs one worker just for him. While most babies in the nursery are content to stay on the mat and play with the toys provided, Aiden is more interested in the rest of the room. He tries to climb into the small refidgerator, the trash can, crawl under the cribs...you name it he finds it. It is no different at home or anywhere else for that matter. He loves to explore and figure out how something works. He also loves to interact with people. At this point, he seems to be a bit of an extravert, unlike his mom, and loves to be the center of attention and show off his "skills" to anyone who will watch. I have attached some pictures of Aiden's favorite things.

Pops Red Truck

Last weekend, at my parents, we decided to see what Aiden thought about being in the back of my dad's pickup truck. Well, he loved it. He loved pounding on the side of the truck and hearing the noise that he was making. (Deep down, I'm afraid he might be a drummer). The sound of the metal truck was so different from the sounds that he is used to hearing when he beats on something. The look on his face was priceless. He had this excited, yet proud-of-himself look on his face. I'll let the pictures do the talking.
