Happy Birthday to You!!!!!!
Our little grand daughter Kennadi Anne turned one on September 18,2009.
She is truly a "little Princess" so she had a Princess Party. Crown, wand, beads, purse,
Barbie Cake (that her mom made) and all the trimmings. She loved every minute
of her special birthday. She had so many family and friends come to honor her.
We love Kennadi so much; She has brought so much joy and happiness into our lives.
She was nearly walking all over the place for her BIG day.
So petite and princess acting all the time. She was still a little unsure of letting go of her
little doll stroller that helped to steady her.
Kennadi loves to give kisses. Her daddy taught her that when she wants a drink
she just needs to give him a kiss and he will give her a drink. Well, she does it to
everyone now when she wants to eat or drink. Sooooo cute. She talks and jibber
jabbers like none other. She is a very vocal baby and loves to have her voice be heard. She is also a great singer and has great rhythm. She loves to bounce and move to the groove and participate in her families "Rock Band." She loves music and Barney and to watch DVD's.
I love it when she (Annika) calls me and I chat with Kennadi. Her expressions are so
adorable. Her mom loved to talk on the phone when she was little as well. (Must run
in our genes.) I cherish our most daily phone conversations. Annika and Jeff and Jeff's dad
Jerry, worked hard to help us make this one year old birthday party a special event in our lives.
Thanks everyone for all of your love and support. Kennadi will never forget it! We have pictures
for her to enjoy the rest of her life! Kennadi's sisters Bailey and Brinley were very excited
to help with and share in the party as well. They are such wonderful "Big" sisters. They treat
Kennadi like a princess all the time, not just on her birthday. She gets so excited to see them and
to play with them. Kennadi is developing some crazy facial expressions these days. She lets you
know what she wants and doesn't want. She says a few words, but has a way of letting you
know exactly what she is thinking. Oh Kennadi, Grandma and Grandpa love you so much.

I'm Back

Where or where has this grandma been? Well, BUSY. No busier than anyone else, but just having a lot of fun and a very busy summer. It has been a few months since I last entered a post. I love to keep up on this blog because it is fun to look back and remember what I have been doing. Also, it is a way of journaling for me. Being in this new phase of grand parenting has been alot of fun, alot of work, and alot of tending, and entertaining. Mike and I love it! We feel so blessed to have our children live as close to us as they do. We just love hanging out with our kids and grand kids. I guess you could say it makes us feel younger in some ways and older in others.
I have been serving at the Mt. Timpanogos temple on Friday's. It has been a very fun and rewarding experience for me. On Monday's of each week, I take some time for myself and then I go to the Seville Retirement Center to help my mom with her laundry, medications, cleaning , grocery shopping, errand running, hair, nails, pedicures,and whatever else she needs. She still goes to her club in Spanish Fork the third Wednesday of each month.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are my days to spend sometime with Beckem. I tend him while his mom and dad are at work. Kilee usually works two days a week as a hygienist to help put her hubby through school. Her husband Tyler, works full time and goes to UVU full time. They are very busy. On Wednesdays, I try to attend the temple with friends, and then work around the house or whatever needs to happen that week. Fridays after the temple is grocery shopping, errand running, and date night with Mike. The weeks seem to fly by. Saturdays are work days and spend sometime together days. Sunday is sometimes a day of rest, and Mike and I look forward to teaching our CTR 8 Primary Class. We just love our little class of seven children. In another month, all of them will have been baptized this year. They are a special class and we learn so much from them each week. On the second Sunday of each month, we go to family home evening at Mike's parents home. Duff and LaVon started this a few years ago. It is so nice to get together as a family,eat, and learn about the gospel. Thanks Duff and LaVon for this great tradition! I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life and for my Savior who has made this life so meaningful for me and my eternal family. So many blessings to be grateful for!
The summer has gone by very quickly. I will post some pictures of our happenings in the Fast Lane. Enjoy!

Happy One Year Old Birthday Beckem

Many great family and friends showed up for the party. Thanks everyone for making this day so special and memorable for all of us. Beckem is a lucky boy and he loves you all very much!

Beckem's tired, talented and proud mom. At the end of the party, everyone had such a great time. Where is Tyler? Well he was working and cleaning up, and doing everything he was told to do. He was also making sure everyone had a fun time.Thanks Kilee and Tyler for making Beckem's First Birthday such a special one. You are such fun parents and you are doing a great job in raising our grandson. Thank you for being you and for sharing little Beckem with us. We love you all and are so proud to be family.

Happy First Birthday Beckem!!! We love you soooo much. Beckem turned one on April 30th.
We are so blessed to have Beckem in our lives. He brings so much joy and happiness everywhere he goes. He looks a lot like his daddy, and acts a lot like his mommy. This little guy is so much fun to hang out with. He can make a dark and rainy day bright and happy. He definitely has his own personality and he lets you know what he likes and doesn't like. He is all boy, loves to throw things and loves balls and bats. He also gets a kick out of banging cupboard doors, and loves to explore all cupboards and remove anything and everything from them. His BIG, cute smile and laugh melts your heart, and it is so hard to say no-no to him. He is a little pistol, just like his mom was, and is always on the go. He loves to laugh, watch Elmo, and Mickey Mouse Club movies. He has great rhythm and loves to dance to the beat. He bounces and grooves to anything musical. He has two bottom teeth now, and he loves to eat most anything and everything. When he gets tired he loves to pull, wind and twist your hair in all directions. He settles down and goes to sleep pretty easily as long as he has had his bottle and binky, some lullaby tunes on the CD, and someone rocking and snuggling him. Oh Beckem, you light up our lives!

One of his favorite things about his BIG party was the balloons. Days after his BD celebration, he still got excited to see the balloons.



Miss Kennadi Anne loves to give kisses. She was kissing Beckem's picture, giving him birthday kisses. She is truly a little Princess in every way.
