Colorado!!!

We spent last weekend and some of last week in Colorado. We spent the first part in Denver celebrating Ellison, our god daughter.  Her baptism was beautiful and she is such a happy baby!  We only took Elizabeth Magee with us --- such a treat for all of us!

This was Elizabeth Magee's first plane ride. She was beyond excited.  We spent Friday night in ATL because our plan left really early.  She woke up at 3:30 a.m. SO excited and kept asking when it was time to go to the airport!

Our first stop in Denver was to the neighborhood park....Santa was there!

Elizabeth Magee was a little hesitant but warmed up enough to talk to him (and told him she'd see him for dinner on the 22nd in Birmingham)!

Saturday night it SNOWED. Sunday morning we built a snowman before church.  We let him wear her extra hat.

Monday morning we headed up to Winter Park.  Elizabeth Magee went to ski school and Oliver and I skied most of the day.  After ski school, we were able to ski for about an hour together.  Elizabeth Magee loved it the first day!

Monday night, we went tubing!  When we pulled up, I had a flashback to junior high -- I'm 90% sure I've been tubing there about 20 years ago!

The second day of ski school, EM EXCELLED!  We picked her up early so we could ski together.  Her ski instructor came with us....he was fabulous!

Right after we took this picture, Elizabeth Magee raced by me and said, "See you later alligator!"  Oliver could not have been more proud ---- she went down almost the entire mountain by herself!

I can't say enough about her ski instructor.  He skied with her for two days straight!  We can't wait to go back!

November

November flew by so fast -- faster than any month this year!

 We had lots of fun -- baby Ellison came to visit and we got a cat! 

We also saw Santa walking out of City Hall one day and we followed him down the side walk and into a store and he heard that Mary Thorne wants an ice cream truck for Christmas!!

We got a cat!!! Or I should say the cat got us --- she started hanging around. We are more than happy to feed and love on her. The girls named her Kitty Kitty and she's a very welcomed addition to the family! 

Makeup is a favorite of my girly girls. Especially lipstick. They don't want play makeup. They want the real thing. Mary Thorne says "I want to be fancy" or "I want to be beautiful".....but sometimes they can't stay in the lines with the lipstick!!!

Soccer wrapped up about half way through the month! We look forward to spring soccer. Elizabeth Magee told Oliver that she wasn't playing if he wasn't coaching so I think Coach Oliver will be back out there in the spring!

The twins had their first watch day Steeples Art. We loved watching these tiny dancers! 

We spent Veterans Day going to McWane and Gilcrest with our cousins. We absolutely love our cousins living in town!!!! We hope they find the perfect house. Very close to us!!!

Training wheels are off! It's not going to be a quick thing to learn!

Cindy and David hosted the Williams for the Thanksgiving in Taylor. Cindy swears it's the last Thanksgiving at Taylor BUT everyone has such a good time. Everyone played corn hole for hours!

Mary Thorne had a particularly good time with Thorne. She loves calling his name!!!

After Taylor , we went to Senatobia for gumbo with Mom, Dad, and Net. 

Friday we went to Greenwood for Poppy and Dees Thanksgiving. 11 great grands!!!

Catching this blog up once a month is not good enough...but kindergarden has thrown me for a loop --- I feel like I'm the one in school!    But Elizabeth Magee is absolutely thriving and loving every second.  I'm amazed at her ability to sound out words and try to spell them....it's absolutely amazing how quickly they learn!

We celebrated Oliver's 33rd birthday on October 3rd.  These girls love a birthday!

We went back to Ole Miss for Homecoming and the girls and I enjoyed lunch at the DDD house.  The next weekend, I took a quick trip to Greenville to see Caroline and Duncan!  When Caroline woke up and saw me on Saturday morning I told her, "I am Sissy.  I am not mama."  She gave me a funny look and then we were best friends for the rest of the weekend!

How cute is Duncan's bat suit?  I absolutely love this little bat!

Our god daughter, Ellison, spent a Monday afternoon with us.  Mary Thorne thought she needed a book.  This child.  She is hot and cold.  She will drive me CRAZY one minute and then next beg for a "BIGG HUGGY" and "BIGG KISSY"....and I melt and give her whatever she wants...

The new Western opened this month and Elsa was at the Grand Opening.  Elizabeth Magee says to her, "You aren't very nice to your sister in the movie" and walks off.  Mary Thorne was obsessed and Elsa sang her a song and she talked about it for days and days.

Siggy and Frank stopped by for a quick afternoon visit one Saturday.  We had a quick trip to the candy store and playground.

Elizabeth Magee and Oliver had the 5K Pumpkin Run.  EM was extremely that she didn't get a medal!

Halloween was a blast....we might all be having blood pressure issues with the amount of sugar we've eaten.  The girls were all "Rainbow Dash" from My Little Ponies.  

September

September has been a wild and crazy month.  The girls have adjusted to a school week filled with lots of trips to the library, ballet, and Wednesday night church and weekends of soccer games and trips to Oxford. This is such a sweet season of life and I'm trying to enjoy each day!

Big Girl Poppy and Dee came for a quick Labor Day visit....they always bring us a chocolate cake from Sugaries. It was gone in 2 days!

Elizabeth Magee went to a cheerleading clinic a few weeks ago and had a blast! 

One of Poppy's favorite things is to "cook". Especially if it involves chocolate pudding!

Last week was community helper day at school --- EM was super excited to open her Greenwood Police Uniform from Biscuit and Mark!

We love love love our weekends in Oxford!  There is no other place like it and  this year is even a little easier than last year with the girls!

3K and 3 weeks!

We've just finished finished the first 3 weeks of school.  The twins started 3K a few days after EM started 5K.  The twins are in the first class of pre-school at Crestline -- we are VERY excited to be apart of the program and to have one drop off!  The girls see each other in gym and pass each other in the hallway --- I think it's made all 3 more comfortable!

Mary Thorne loves school the most.  Their class has 9 children - and 3 sets of twins!

The hardest part about leaving IPC was leaving MT's best friend, Lily....but we love getting to play with her!

We had one last weekend at the lake last week before football season takes over our weekends!  The girls love the lake!

Mary Thorne and Poppy are starting ballet this semester.  We went to get their class uniforms and they were so excited.....the smallest one is still way to big for Poppy!

We went to a fundrasier for Children's Hospital last weekend...Mary Thorne got to see her two best friends from IPC and they had a blast.  They posed like 17 year olds in this picture:

Friday was school spirit day and EM was so proud to wear her Ole Miss uniform.  She's still a little confused about the whole Ole Miss/Alabama/Auburn thing.......but she knows that we cheer for Ole Miss :)

Our morning walks are literally my favorite part of the day.  It's completely worth pushing 80 + lbs up our hill to get the precious moments talking with my girls.  I snapped this picture on Saturday morning on the way to the playground...they really do love each other:
