My Sweet Baby Girl

I saw this layout on Pinterest and it's a total copy (original), but I can't help it! The papers are adorable and the layout is simple! Hard to believe I have 3 pages completed for C's first year scrapbook! That's progress, haha!
We are having another snow day and while I prefer cold weather over hot weather, I prefer to be at work...I am not a fan of making days up when you are supposed to be on "summer" break...with all of that said, I am a fan of NOT driving in the weather and most of all...staying home with my girls!

Sweetness, Part Deux!

Here is the second page to the layout! I made the wreath a year ago...270-some-odd felt rosettes...and I told myself I would add more to actually COMPLETE the sides this year, but not happening. You can't tell when it's on the door! So, I wanted to put my little munchkin in the wreath and then I used Photoshop to colorize the photo and then use color selection for the rosettes only. I love this look...just wish I had burned the edges.
The papers are the same as yesterday and so are the embellishments. I really love clean and simple scrapbooking right now. The sketch is my own and wow, C now has two pages for her first year album!
I am prepping snapshots right now to upload and order...looks like another measurable snowfall is headed our direction Monday/Tuesday. NOT A FAN OF SNOW DAYS!!!! I like to get out of school ON TIME! :)

Sweetness all the Way 'Round, Part 1

This month, I chose a sketch for Tessa and me to complete. It's an old Sketchy Thursday...makes me sad they are no longer active. (boo-hoo). I found this one Pinterest. Loved the sketch...but what pictures to use? I took these of my new baby girl a couple of weeks ago. The layout is actually two parts...not in the sketch, but I had another cute photo I wanted to use. (Part 2 to come tomorrow)
If you are a person who can't mix manufactures with your scrapping products...stop reading!!!! Some people can't even mix make-up brands...as you can probably tell, I do both! :)
The DSP is Imaginisce and the embellishments are from Little Yellow Bicycle and...and that awesome glitter paper I just got in the mail with my Stampin UP! order! I COULD NOT WAIT TO USE THE GLITTER PAPER!!!

Two Cousins, Easter and a Baptism

Easter and my nephew's baptism...2011. Sorry for the cruddy picture (not that my pics are ever really that great!). I took it downstairs when I finished as was too lazy to change the white balance on my camera (yes, I recently learned how to do that...thank you Pinterest).
This is my 3rd layout for the month of January and it completes the layout that Tessa chose. The DSP is Elizabeth Park by Little Yellow Bicycle. The embellishments are as well except for the flower and the pearls on the butterflies. I love the double sided paper of this collection and the colors were just perfect for this set of pictures.
Happy January 31st...one month of the new year down! Wow, that was fast!

A Stella Rose is Pure Joy!

Scrapbook page #2 in my quest to complete at least 36 scrapbook pages in 2013...and my challenge with Tessa. For this page I used My Mind's Eye Stella Rose, Stampin' Up! brads, twine and Chocolate Chip cardstock.
It's Monday and I am exhausted! I am headed to bed! Only four more days until the weekend! Please hurry weekend!!!

Lime Twisting with Glubers and a Sweet 2-Yr Old

Here is one of the scrapbook pages that I completed in the month of January for the challenge Tessa and I have for each other.
I used the Creating Keepsakes magazine for inspiration. I FINALLY tried the Glubers with my Rose Red 5/8" grosgrain ribbon from Stampin' Up with an antiqued SU! brad in the middle. The paper is My Mind's Eye, Lime Twist.
I have another page I will post tomorrow and I must complete my last one with the layout challenge TODAY since the end of January is this week. And speaking of that, February 1st will be here so soon and I need to get a card made for my grandma since it's her birthday. I am really going to try my "bestest" to get handmade cards this year. The last few years my life/mind/time has been consumed with baby creatin' that I have basically neglected this...just once in a while I would get a handmade card out (exception was Christmas).
Soooo, with that said...have a great Sunday! I am off to make that last layout and a card for grandma! :)

Christmas for the Grandparents

When Adelaide was first born, I decided I would make each set of grandparents (3 sets) a book of her monthly pics and document her milestones. She was born in January, so my natural instinct to scrap in a YEARLY, sequential order fell right into place! Anyhow, they were a hit and so the following year...I did not make them one. However, for the past two years, I have picked up Simple Stories kits and whipped them up and they were again, I big hit. Here are the first two pages of 2012's book.

On the second page, I only had one orange flower, so each parent got a different color. Not sure who received the orange flower, but it was my fave as it was really "popped" out!
The cardstock is Stampin' Up (Always Artichoke, Soft Suede, and Taken with Teal), the DSP is from the Simple Stories Year-o-Graphy kit, used Tattered Angels to spray the doily (3 colors), crystal effects on the number/year on the first page and the star on the bingo card on the bottom page.
