Nasty Viruses

It has been so crazy around here the past two weeks. I got the flu and threw up all night long, Payton has had a crazy cough and cold but is on antibiotics, and Seth had migraines for about 2 weeks. After those 2 weeks of having migraines, he finally went to the dr yesterday and they did tests and diagnosed him with Viral Meningitis. I was so worried about him because I had never seen him in so much pain and nothing seemed to work for him. After spending a night in the hospital, they sent him home with antibiotics and pain meds. I am thankful that he went to the hospital and is okay. He feels better but is really tired.

I am ready for the flu season(well, winter) to be over. I miss the sunny CA living with a healthy family. I hope that we get rid of these nasty viruses going around so we can play soon.

I am failing

I am sorry because I haven't been keeping up on the blog. There has been so much going on over the last few months: Seth came home!!, Payton has been going to preschool, the in-laws came to visit, Halloween, the USMC Birthday Ball, and life. We have been really enjoying our time together as a family. It has been awesome to have alone time with Seth because we have awesome friends to swap babysitting with. We enjoyed some dinners alone and then we had a night away for the Birthday Ball. Seth has been taking Payton to do stuff so I can have alone time as well, which is about the best thing in the world!

We have had two families that we met in VA move here as well. We have been having dinners together and reconnecting. I love how we can pick up just where we left off.

Seth has been busy with work and Payton and I have been doing our thing as usual. I am loving life with my family back together.

I apologize that there aren't any pictures but I lost my camera cord. Hopefully I will find it soon and post them for you all to enjoy.

Thanks to my mother-in-law, Payton now loves to watch and feed birds. I thought it would be a good idea to have her decorate her own bird house so we can hang it outside for us to enjoy. Here is her finished product on the left (the other is her buddy, Jaron's). Now, I have to find a hook to hang it on for the birds to enjoy.

Mischief

here is some mischief Payton has been up to lately: pulling the tp off the roll and streaming it all over the house, climbing and jumping on the furniture, and dancing like she is at a rave. She obviously is anti-clothes too:) I wonder what her daddy will say when he sees his baby now?!

Legoland

Our friends, Robin and Dane, took Payton and I to Legoland today and convinced us to buy an annual pass because we had so much fun! I had no idea that there was so much there to do and Payton had a blast playing in the water area. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time with our friends. Thanks again for taking us!

It has been too long

Sorry to my followers because it has been so long since I have blogged. Life has just been crazy! Payton and I are now in CA and loving it! we have most of the house put together, enough to get us by. Seth will be happy to come back and set up his "man cave." We have been busy here for the past week unpacking, playing with friends, and swimming. It feels so right to be back here because I know others with kids who are Payton's age, I feel like I belong with others who understand what the military life is about, and I just love having so much to do at our fingertips. we only need one more thing to make our life complete....SETH!! I can't give out too much info on his arrival date but it is before Halloween. I am so stoked to have the love of my life home and daddy for Payton. I do miss our friends and family back at home and payton asks for them daily but we are ready to get our lives put back in order.

I would post some updated pictures, but my camera decided to stop working. Hopefully it will be repaired soon. Take care everybody!

Aunt Leanne

My sister, Leanne, finally came home to visit! She hadn't seen Payton since she was 2 months old, which was over 14 months ago. It is so fun having her home and seeing her play with Payton. I am glad my Bean warmed up to her aunt and thinks she is as goofy as I do. (BTW: they are eating licorice in this picture and imitating "Lady and the Tramp")

Girl's Night Out

My friends, Camila, Jenny, Angela(cousin), and I got together for a GNO at the Hotel Murano and had so much fun. We had the best time just going out to dinner at Indochine, laughing and telling stories, and driving around(getting lost). It was such a great night and we all had a much deserved night away from the kids. They are all my best friends and I loved spending time alone with them.

Car Wash

Payton thought she was helping her mama wash her car by picking up the bubbles in the bucket and rubbing them on the car.

Pampered Payton

Payton got her first of many spa pedicures at her mama's (grandma donna's) house. She was so fascinated by the bubbles and splashing in the water.

Little Gym Grad

The little bird has received a medal for finishing her spring quarter at the Little Gym. She has grown leaps and bounds of what she is physically able to do now because of The Little Gym and I am unsure of how I feel about that. She is such a monkey and thinks that everything can be climbed on or up. She loves hanging from the bars and swinging. It is the most adorable thing to see all the kiddos having fun rolling on mats and playing with each other.

Eating a "Popu"

Payton loves eating popcicles, "popus," and will ask for one first thing in the morning and then all day long. Shirts aren't allowed when she eats them because she ends up wearing them. Thank God for Costco so I can keep them in bulk!

Willkommen to Leavenworth

Over Memorial Day weekend, my sister, JaeLee, Payton, and I joined my cousins in Leavenworth. We had so much fun going in the hot tub, shopping in the Bavarian Village, playing in the Wenatchee River, and sitting by the campfire. We even watched a Bavarian band play and Payton was dancing her little booty off. She put on quite the show while doing a chicken dance. The weather was perfect there, while it poured down rain here in western WA. Along the way to Leavenworth, I stopped in mine and Seth's old college town, Ellensburg, and had lunch and drove by our old hangouts(the bars). It brought back so many memories while I was there..my engagement, our old houses, friends, and adventures.

Lil' Squeaker

Payton got a pair of Wee Squeak shoes from our friend and gets a kick out of the noise they make. She also loves to dress herself these days (sorry about the horrible filming..I don't know what I was doing).

Family Fire Pit

We, my family, gathered around the fire pit and enjoyed stories and s'mores last night and I loved every minute of it. As the years have gone by, our family hasn't done the traditions like we used to so my aunt and I hosted our get together. The kids were little party animals last night and played outside until they couldn't see because it was so dark. I am so glad that my daughter can play with her cousins like I used to play with mine. we are all the best of friends until this day and I couldn't ask for better people in my life. I hope we continue to have these traditions because they are memorable to me.

Family Pet

Before Seth left for deployment, we bought Payton a fish because she loves animals and lets face it, fish are ideal pets. We named him Barrack O' Beta, Barry, the fish and not because we like Barrack. Payton wakes up each morning and gets the fish food to feed him and makes fish lips at him, which is the most adorable thing. I know when Daddy gets back she will be asking for a puppy or kitty because she loves them to death. My answer: Only if I don't have to pick up the poop. Until then, we are sticking with the fish.

Grandma and Grandpa's house

Payton loves going to my in-laws' house. She enjoys hanging out in the garage with her Grandpa and adores their dog, Sable.

Sesame Street Play

Payton is a huge fan of Elmo so I took her, along with my cousin Angela and her son Noah, to the Sesame Street Play. Payton got so excited to see Elmo and she pointed and waved to him. She kept asking for more when the characters would stop singing and dancing. It was too adorable and she had a lot of fun. Both of the kiddos were worn out after their big day and fell asleep without a peep as soon as they were in the car.

Devil Pup

I thought it would be funny to teach Payton Marine jargon, which is OORAH! She thought it was too funny and walked around the house saying it all day. (sorry, the video isn't rotated..my husband isn't here to show me how to do it).

Craft Attempt

Please don't look closely at the hair clips because there are a lot of flaws. Since Seth is gone, I am trying to do projects and activities that help time pass and that I enjoy. I had fun making these clips but they are not easy to make and I burned the heck out of my fingers with hot glue. I am going to keep on trying to make them and hope to find some other project to do as well.

Spring Fair

Payton got to experience the Puyallup Fair for the first time this year and the weather was perfect. Military families were free that day, so I took advantage and treated Payton to lots of yummy treats. Speaking of which, I bought a Krusty Pup and my little munchkin took it right from me and chowed down! She loved seeing the goats but wasn't too fond of the cows. She went around the entire day making cow, duck, and horse sounds. I took her on the canoe ride, which I loved when I was little, and she kept running back to it because she wanted to get back on. I had a fun day with my little Bean but wish that my hubby were here to enjoy it too.
