Into The Wild

After my shower Sunday night I pulled out this lotion to put on. I chuckled a little at the title. I thought it was fitting for my first day of school on Monday. I was headed "into the wild" with 18 second graders. lol

Oh Boy...

Cooper is sooo ready for his motorcycle to be up and running. Actually, it's a Razor electric motorcycle. It only goes about 14mph, but he doesn't know the difference.

Diary

Marlee got her first diary last weekend. She told me her first entry was going to be about love. Later in the evening she showed me what she wrote. I thought it was pretty sweet. She left a few people off because she didn't know how to spell their names.

The Time Has Come

Marlee had her first day of Kindergarten on Monday, August 13. She had a great day and loved her classroom and new friends. She was put a ease with several friendly faces. Some teachers welcomed her, and she saw a few of my students from last year. I think she's going to have a great year!

My Home Away From Home

Well for the next 180+ days at least. We started school this past Monday. It has been a great three days. I have 18 super cute second graders. They have sweet personalities and great senses of humor. They seem to really respond to my routines and ways of doing things. I believe we will have a great year together.

Work in Progress

I'm working on setting up my classroom. I moved from the upstairs corner to the opposite end of the building downstairs. Advantages are I will be able to access my classroom from outside. I'm moving down to second grade and taking the team lead position. A whole new year awaits me! Hopefully I'll still be standing in May! HAHA

So here are a few pictures of my work in progress. I've only had two days to work in the room. I still have a long way to go before August 6th!

Late Night Norms

Boy when school starts these two are going to have a hard time getting up. 3DS playtime can result in sore stomach muscles from laughing so hard. They both caught a case of the giggles about 10:30 last night. Some days they really do love each other and enjoy the other's company.
