Hi! I'm Allyson! Welcome! I'm so glad you're here!

This blog is mainly a personal one about my family, along with our struggles and triumphs.  I believe that we can find strength through sharing our difficulties with each other, and that we all have a lot more in common than we think! I hope that you will join me in this little adventure of mine!

A little bit about me:

I hold a BA in Italian from Brigham Young University. I lived in Italy 2 separate times for a grand total of a year and a half, and sometimes I miss Italy so much it hurts. I first did a Study Abroad there, and then I returned as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After my mission, I returned to finish my degree and I married the love of my life Mark. After I graduated I worked as a Medical Secretary for almost two years until I had my first child, Max. He just turned two, and he is all boy. My life currently consists of cars, trucks & trains, and cherishing nap time. We are also expecting a girl at the beginning of May and we are thrilled! I always pictured myself having all boys, so I am finally getting used to venturing over to the "baby girl" sections of clothing stores and falling in love with all the cute dresses! We currently live in Utah.

In my spare time I enjoy learning how to sew on my grandma's old Singer sewing machine. I recently discovered a love of quilting and I am in awe at the beauty of putting together contrasting fabrics and creating patterns that turn into cherished heirlooms. I love to craft, and I am always looking for ways to re-use or make things myself to save a buck or two.

A little bit about Mark:

Mark holds a BM in Sound Recording Technology from Brigham Young University. He currently works in HR as a recruiter for a cell phone company, and still enjoys doing freelance sound engineering work. He loves music, movies, & trying new restaurants. He is also wrapped around the little finger of his son Max.
