Christmas Time...and a Little More!

Well, Christmas has finally come...what do I mean finally! I can't believe it is already here! Something strange happens with age--time goes by soooooo much faster! I remember being a little girl and it seemed like my birthday and then Christmas would never come, and the closer they got, the slower time seemed to move! Yikes! Now I'm already 29 and here come Christmas tomorrow! Anyway, we thought we'd share some of our pictures from getting ready for this wonderful holiday season! We wish all of you a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year!!

Lydia had a lot of fun playing with the lights when we got them out!
For some reason she seemed to think that they were for decorating herself (or Mom for that matter)!

Lydia thought she was pretty big stuff standing up on the stools like Mom while we were putting the lights on the tree. Really though, it was probably more about putting on a show for Grandma and Grandpa Judd and Aunt Gwen!

And who says one is ever too young to start learning to play the piano!! We're already on the Children's Song Book!

Lydia is also working on her costumes and the presentation of her performances! I dig the hat! I really think that we have a talented upcoming musician in the family!

And she definitely knows she's something special! We wouldn't trade her for anything...except maybe for...nevermind!! Just kidding! We have so many good times and laughs with her! She has definitely been the best thing to ever happen to our family (up to this point of course!!)!

Las Vegas and More...or Less?

Alright, so I suppose i should tell all of you about our great trip to Las Vegas to see the Thunderbirds at the Airshow. And I bet right now you are all thinking, "Lucky Lydia! She got to go down to the sun and warmth of Vegas!" Well, if you are thinking this, you are dead wrong! It was cold and windy! I couldn't take my jacket off the whole time we were down there and we even had to drive through the remnants of a snow storm! But I do have to be honest, even though it was a little than ideal (as far as the weather goes), it was still a lot of fun!

Here I am in my forward facing car seat! Yeah, I know, I'm still a few pounds away from really being able to ride this way, but I guess Mom and Dad finally gave in after 5 hours of fussing on the way to St. George! Don't you just love my hair in this one?!

I also got to get behind the controls of a C-17 Globemaster. It was crazy fun! Maybe I'll learn to fly airplanes like Daddy when I get older!

Now, these planes aren't the Thunderbirds. They are the Patriots, a privately owned group that fly at shows like the one we went to. They are flying training jets (subsonic) but they were still really good!

Dad and I really enjoyed watching the airplanes fly. They were a little loud though. Of course, Mom and Aunt Rissy went and bought some ear plugs for all of us...and then Mom went and forgot them in the car! Silly Mommy!

It was fun to spend time with Aunt Rissy and Uncle Jason! They always make things more fun!

Saturday, we went on a walk with Grandma and Grandpa Judd out at Farmington Bay. It was a little cold, but I survived, and we enjoyed the scenery!

My favorite part was to play on the bridge of the new trail they are putting in. The logs moved a little and it made all kinds of fun noises when I would walk across!

I've also become quite the little trooper and hiker. I walked all by myself for a good chunk of the walk. Of course, it was very intermittent walking! :o)

Silly Lydi-Bug!

Hey everyone! I thought I would just share some of my more recent pictures with everyone! I'm growing up so fast! As you'll see in the pictures below, I'm almost a grownup...some of the time! But I still like to play around a lot! Oh, and by the way, these are the last pictures of my cast that you will see!! I got it off last week!! Yay!! I'm still learning to use my left hand again--sometimes I forget that it isn't in a cast--but I'm getting better! I think I'm driving Mom a little crazy because I love to climb and just go as fast as I can without a cast to slow me down (not that it slowed me down that much in the first place)!! We do read a lot of books though and that is a lot of fun! Anyway, enjoy the pictures...I did!!

This was Aunt Roo's contribution to my hair styling the last time she came to play with me! She decided to try and see if oatmeal would work!! Hasn't she ever heard of hair gel or mouse!! Crazy Rissy!

I also found Mom and Dad's stash of fireworks!! I thought we were supposed to have used them back in July or something! Party-poopers!

These are the first pictures of me without my cast! Last weekend, Mom took me to the park with my friend Kate! She's awesome! She played with me and walked the whole way home with me!
