Blogging is NOT my passion!

It is now Fall and I haven't posted in 2 months. I'm not sure that blogging is for me. However, after some pressure from Luke and loyal blog readers, (okay, maybe I just hope I have a few loyal readers) I have decided to do a quick update on the family.

We have sold our house in the last couple of weeks and will be moving here in town shortly. I am a little nervous because I imagine that moving with two little ones will be unpleasant. We will see! Crosby is finally walking and doing some talking and Brock is just getting more and more grown up everyday. They keep Luke and I laughing all of the time. We are trying our hardest to stay healthy as it seems that half of the people we know have or have had the flu. Of course, you can't just stay in your house ALL of the time so we are praying that God would keep us protected from this. Well, that is all for now. I am going to challenge myself to blog more often but I don't see that actually happening. :) Here are a few pictures of the kids at their best.

Crosby knows how to eat! She managed to make this huge mess in about 3 minutes eating chocolate covered pretzels. Brock loves to dress up like a grown man. Isn't he a cutie?!?!

Cliff Jumping

Last weekend at the lake we decided to enjoy a little cliff jumping. I guess it looked like so much fun that Brock decided he wanted in on the action. Even though I wasn't crazy about the idea, Luke carried him up the cliff and helped him jump off. If Luke would have had the camera, this would be a video. However, I'm not that great with the camera so all I did was take pictures.

This is Rare

We have been doing some traveling this summer and I recently captured something on my camera that is so rare; I couldn't help but blog about it. Both kids sleeping at the same time!!! Crosby normally goes to sleep first, Brock then proceeds to wake her up (within 15 minutes or so), and when she is good and awake, he closes his eyes and sleeps for a while. What a stinker! They sit on opposite sides of the car so you can't tell from the pictures that the sleeping occurred at the same time, but trust me, it did. :) It was amazing!

Summer Days

Brock has really been loving the water this summer. Up until about a month ago, he would cry anytime he got his head wet. Washing his hair was a nightmare because the water in his face upset him. It was pretty ridiculous! Well, everything changed in one day and he went from one extreme to the other. He absolutely loves going under the water now. Over the past few weeks we have been to the lake and a water park and this evening we went to a pool party. Brock loves slides and even jumping off of the diving board. We are still working on his swimming skills, but for now, Luke is more than willing to catch him. Its funny how kids change their minds so quickly. Hopefully, Crosby will love the water and adjust to it a little quicker than her brother. Anyway, here are a few pictures from the birthday party this evening.

Breaking Luke's Heart

Luke took Brock to play basketball tonight, a little father-son bonding. Brock told Luke that he would "pretend" to be a basketball player but he was really a baseball player. For anyone who knows the importance of basketball to Luke, you could say that this was a major blow to Luke's heart. Brock is obsessed with baseball right now! It's so funny because this is Luke's least favorite sport. I have a really funny blog about his new baseball helmet that I will post soon...check back!

Excuses...Excuses

Well, after a recent trip to Barnes & Nobles with some pretty amazing girls, :) I am feeling guilty about never updating my blog. Life has been crazy and for the past few weeks I have been consumed with Whitney's wedding which has left me little time for important matters such as blogging. Now that the wedding is over, I will try to get back to keeping up with this old thing.

It is important to note that I did not even take my camera to Whitney's wedding; so I have no actual proof that we were there besides the pictures that I have stolen from Mallory's myspace page. I wish that I had taken the camera because there were so many memories I wish I would have captured. The wedding was lots of fun and it was really nice to get away for a weekend and see lots of old friends.

In other news, Whitney, Kassie, Audry and I went to the carnival at the mall last month. We noticed a giant strobe light in the sky and followed it straight to Midland Park Mall. Imagine our excitement in finding a perfect place to have Whit's pre-bachelorette party. There were all the makings of a good time: a large crowd, neon lights, illegal drugs, and even a gang fight for our viewing pleasure. We knew the party was over when police officers swarmed the mall parking lot from all directions and hundreds of teenagers took off running. AAHH GOOD TIMES!

Feeling hot, hot, hot!

It’s been extremely hot around here these last few days! What do you do when its “summer” in March? Swim, that’s what! Here are a few pictures of the kids enjoying this warm weather. I have to say I am definitely enjoying the mid 80s in March.
