2 years!!

Two down... Eternity to go! :) Yesterday Lloyd and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary. I can't even express how happy I am to be married to him! We went on a little get away to Jackson, Wyoming Friday night to celebrate, since we would be watching Conference with our family on the real Anniversary, Sunday. It was so much fun to just spend an extra long weekend with him!

And as much as I hate it, I must admit, I love the fact that even now, when I have to go back to work on Monday I still miss Lloyd like crazy as soon as I leave! It may seem a little silly, but I am still head over heels for this boy, and treasure every minute I get to be with him.

I thought I would re-post a few of my favorite engagement and wedding pictures to remember just where we started.

And it's hard to believe this picture was an entire year ago on our last anniversary! Time is flying by, but I wouldn't want to share it with anyone else. Lloyd truly inspires me to become a better person each and every day. I couldn't be more happy to be his forever! He will be disgusted at all this "mushy" stuff I am posting publicly ;) But I just can't help it! He is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I am excited for many Anniversaries to come!

Family Reunion!

This year the Lee family reunion was in Nauvoo, Illinois. It was SUCH a great experience for us all. Our lovely camera decided to erase all of our pictures of our entire first week, :(so we don't have many!! Just a few highlights of our trip with the family is most definitely the temple. It was such a beautiful and spiritual experience. I absolutely loved being there with our family, and will always cherish that memory.

We also had a chance to see the Nauvoo Pageant which was a wonderful production. Near the end the Temple was lit up in the background as President Hinckley's voice came over and bore testimony of the saints that lived in Nauvoo. I loved getting to hear his voice again, and it really summed up the greatness of Nauvoo and the faith of those early saints. It really strengthened my testimony of the early history of our Church. I will be forever be grateful for the great experience we had at this family reunion.

After the first week of vacation, the reunion was over and we decided to make the most of our trip back east and stay an extra week. We first went to Indiana and visited Lloyd's Brother Tyson and their family. While we were so close we took a day trip and went to Chicago!

Chicago was so much fun. One of the highlights of our trip. We took a bus tour of the city and ate real, authentic Chicago style deep dish pizza! Yum! To top it off we went to a MLB game. White Sox and Mariners played and it was a fun experience!

After staying in Indiana for a few days we finished our trip off by going to Pennsylvania with Lloyd's sister Amber, her husband Alan and their two little boys Jackson and Marcus.

Our first day in Pennsylvania Lloyd and I went to Hershey's Chocolate world with Amber and the boys!

Next we took a trip to the flea market! It was fun to see all the little booths set up and we got some cheap jewelry, sunglasses, and hats.

Hehe... Next we took a trip to Intercourse Pennsylvania.... Amish country. Needless to say, we couldn't stop ourselves from getting a picture by the sign.

Our last day of vacation we toured Washington DC. First off... the Temple!

We walked around and rode the subway all around and saw the tomb of the unknown soldier at Arlington Cemetery. It is amazing the precision these soldiers have.

This building is where we saw the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence.

Next up was the Smithsonian Museum of American History. We saw Dorothy's Ruby Red Slippers

Then we walked to the White House. We could see snipers on the roof! It was pretty cool

We did it! DC was a long and VERY hot day, but it was so cool to get to see everything together!

And here we are flying home! It was such a great vacation, but we were happy to get back to Shelley after two whole weeks!

Big Summer Update

Well summer is almost coming to an end and we have lots to share! We finally have some before and after pictures of our new house. We bought our little piece of work the end of March, and moved in the first part of April. She may not look like much with the red brick walls and green roof but were making it our own and have given quite a face lift on the inside.

First off the kitchen... this lovely green hexagonal carpet took my poor hubby 6 hours to scrape off.

This is me in the kitchen, obviously way to happy... not realizing the house "fun" had not even started haha

Lloyd's brothers came to help install the tile and it turned out great!

We owe a big thanks to Dewight, Randy, and Russel for their help with the tile. We couldn't have done it with out you all!

Second we have the upstairs Living room. You can't see it here, but instead of this hard wood floor we had a light mint green carpet that we moved downstairs because it was actually nicer then the green orange puke carpet that was in the downstairs living area.

So we refinished the hardwood floors and painted one brown wall and the rest a light tan, after we ripped off that wood paneling behind the fireplace

After about 2 months we finally got our new furniture, and this is a shot of the mostly finished living room.

The only thing missing from the living room now is... the mantle of the fire place. We had a slight mishap when pulling off the paneling. We weren't aware it was cemented behind the fireplace, and had a sacrificed mantle in the processes

Next for the bedrooms!

Spare bedroom with fire red and orange, 3 inch shag carpet! And don't forget the matching carpet!

We painted the walls and installed new carpet and turned this into Lloyd's office

The lovely master bedroom with such high fashion carpeting!!

We fixed that right up with a fresh coat of paint, new carpet and some curtains!

These last two bedrooms are downstairs, and we haven't made any changes to them yet. It will come with time, but for now they are a GREAT conversation piece when friends come over

And Yes.... that is quilted pieces of carpet... just take it all in :)

We had so much help from all our family and friends, so thank you to all of you! We are lucky to have you!

This is just a good taste of the how much fun we have ahead of us still... taking a look down stairs. That is lime green walls and 3 different retro carpets by the time you reach the basement!

And for our bathrooms... Downstairs its dark blue carpet with pink coutertops

And upstairs its fake brown tile with turquoise counter tops. And yes, its the REALLY fancy kind with gold sparkles in it!!

We are so lucky to have this house, and are loving living in Shelley. It is so fun to have such a big project to make our own.

Catching Up!!

Ok... as promised here we go! Lengthy update of our lives the past few months!

First off.... New Puppy!

Diesel is the newest member of our family, and we welcomed him in April. We drove to Utah to pick him up but he is such a good dog! He was already house trained and is very well mannered... Usually! One of my least favorite of his "tricks" is when we discovered he knows how to open our sliding glass door.... to say the least he had quite a fun day getting into everything and eating remote controls, and stringing garbage all over the house for a WHOLE day while I was at work!

He is alot of fun and we are happy to have him. And who knows maybe someday we will buy him a girlfriend and have lots more little diesels running around

Second.... Anniversary!!!

I can't believe that Lloyd and I have been married for over a year. It has been the greatest adventure, and I couldn't ask for a better companion :)

Here we are on April 3rd 2009 at the Idaho Falls Temple, the beginning our happily ever after.

Lloyd and I started dating October of 2008 and these are just a few of my favorites of us in the dating stage also... or actually mostly Lloyd because I am pretty much cut out of these pictures :)

Third... New Vehicles

We are getting pretty good about going through cars and trucks. Right now we are the proud owners of a Subaru Legacy GT, Pontiac Bonneville, and 87 Chevy Pickup. It is Lloyd's pride and joy... and rightfully so! Just take a look at this classy picture! :)

Last but not least on this list of updates.... NEW HOUSE!!

Lloyd and I started looking for houses this February. After lots and lots and LOTS of house hunting and getting shot down 6 times we finally found this beauty! Haha Don't let the red brick and green roof and cement scare you... you haven't even seen the classy RETRO project we had once you step inside.

When we found this house, we knew it would be a project to get it looking somewhat modern but that has been half the fun of being a home owner, is getting to paint, tile, decorate, refinish floors and carpet! I will have some before and after pictures up very soon... we are pretty proud of the improvements we have made.
